PiratesFan Day 4
Day 4 - Wed May, 7
Day 4 started by having breakfast in the Kona Cafe. As a result of hearing so much positive feedback here on DC for the last year about Tonga Toast, I decided to try it. Although I am not a big fan of bananas in anything, I must say, WOW, this was more like desert than breakfast. I'm glad I tried it. The rest of the morning was spent in MGM. Even though we arrived there after opening, it seemed really crowded. We were able to see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid first. We really wanted to see Playhouse Disney, but didn't like the idea of lining up 45min to 1 hour before the show. If we did, my DDs would have been wrecked for the rest of the day, so we opted to get photos of Woody and Buzz and then Lilo and Stitch. With the Great Movie Ride down for refurbishment, we decided to leave the heat of the day to enjoy the Poly pool. For dinner, we had a 7:40 PS for 1900 Park Fare in the GF and were seated early. We almost canceled out due to the late dinner time but my wife and I were extremely pleased with this character meal at every turn. The food was first rate, consisting of Prime Rib, fresh turkey, pork tenderloin, great mashed potatos, buffalo wings, baked fish, fresh fruits, and a lot more. For the kids there was also chicken nuggets, fish nuggets, pizza, mini hot dogs, and a candy desert bar. The characters were also great and met us quickly, where we took pictures and video of my 2 DDs getting autographs from Cinderalla, Prince Charming, Perla, and Suzie. Prince Charming saw that one of the Disney fat pens that my DD was using wasn't working, only to shortly return with a replacement. My little one especially liked the mice who returned a couple of times to say hello. Outside the dining area, my DDs met the Fairy Godmother who was very warm and charming to our little ones, giving out autographs and some great photo ops. She even gave the girls some pixie dust shaped like Mickeys. The only regret is that we didn't make a PS for an additional night during our stay. We enjoyed it that much and would go back again and again. :heart We think this character meal shares the top character dinner spot with Chef Mickey's. The rest of the evening was relaxing around the Poly to prepare for early entry in the MK for Day 5. ;pirate:

We too LOVED 1900 Park Fare in March. Did they have the spinach the night you were there? That stuff is FANTASTIC! I really think everyone should attend this character meal. You are making me hungry just thinking about it!
