Next up we decided to go on this attraction



MIL and Lillian stayed outside (Lillian was still napping) and Avery, DH and I decided to check it out (we have never done this on past visits).



I ended up falling asleep on the ride....excellent nap opportunity for mom Avery enjoyed the Dinosaur part and John was bored to tears.

All in all, I was happy we did it just to have a little shut eye

John went and grabbed fast passes for Soarin. I waited with Lillian outside (no strollers allowed inside) and John, MIL and Avery went to go on Soarin'. About 30 minutes later they came out and I could see that Avery was crying. They wouldn't let her on. The first guy let her through, but the guys at the top of the ride turned her away saying that she was too short. I totally understand that it is for safety, but she really was just as tall as some of the kids going on.

After a bit of sweet talk she got over it (but brought it up several times). John went on it alone while we took the girls to watch the Lion King show. John met us and said that he would be fine with both of the girls while Diane and I went on Soarin. We met up and MIL and I decided to go ahead and do Soarin.

Here is the 2nd sob story of our Soarin experience. John was SOOOOOO excited about Soarin and told me that I HAD to go that it was his favorite (this was all of our first time for this ride). Diane and I had FP so we went right up. After about a 15 minute wait we were on our yellow arrows about to board.

A loud speaker came on and announced that they had an emergency and that we needed to be on standby to do an EMERGENCY EVACUATION OF THE BUILDING We waited for about 30 minutes and they came on again saying standby for our instructions. They took everyone that was in the que out a back door of the building. Walked us around to somewhere (it was such a wierd sight) and didn't say another word No new FP, no come back in 15 minutes and we will put you right on....NOTHING. We never got to do it I got over it quickly. I never did find out what happened, but it sure was strange.

We met up with John who was feeding the kiddies and off to World Showcase....my favorite part of Epcot

We started at a Kidcot station (because John wanted to run and do Mission Space...he had FP and I was ok to skip it). Avery wasn't really into doing the masks....I was. I could really get into that....even if I was on an all adult trip. I am SOOO into Krafts though.

Anyhoo....we ran into a few friends

OK....so here is where I have my first meltdown of the trip (not an open meltdown....just an internal meltdown). Lillian and Avery were really going at it (basically because they were tired and bored). BOTH of them wanted me to hold them and I was just TOO exhausted. It was time for a potty break and Avery refused to go (this was really her first time getting defiant on our entire trip). After pushing the issue I decided that I wouldn't take her...no use forcing the issue. I went potty, changed Lillians diaper and was ready to head out when Avery starts SCREAMING that she needs to go potty. At this point I really just wanted John to take her because I was just plain POOPED and needed a little help with the tots. I took her potty and she was still pretty fussy.

Basically here is where I start to tear up. John looks over at me and TOOK OVER. Did I mention how much I my DH. He handed me a beer (now THAT'S what I am talking about ) and distracted Avery with these phone booths

Then he took Lillian over to walk around a cute little path





Bottom line is that I think I was the one who really needed a break and the girls were feeling that tension from me. Once John took over everyone relaxed a bit more. WHAT A GREAT DAD!

What beautiful girls you have..very photogenic. Regarding Shamu, I have
a friend who is a vet there and she says he is very old..considered a bull
and that is what happens to a males fin and tail as they get older. But I feel
sorry for him also being in that tank but because he was born and raised
at Sea World maybe he doesn't know any better.

We stopped to listen to this fun little band (they were cranking 80's tunes so I was in heaven). The girls really enjoyed dancing and just hanging out. I have a really cute video of them dancing to "summer of '69", but I don't know how to post videos....perhaps I'll do that after doing a bit of research.




This is a cute little squirrel (behind the light)...he was eating right out of our hands and then running up the tree. It's hilarious how tame the wild animals are at WDW.

Then Avery was watching this nice lady feed a duck some french fries. The lady was so sweet and gave her a pile of fries to feed the duck too. Another one of those magical moments brought to us by NICE PEOPLE

We didn't have Candellight Processional plans, but we did want to walk past and see if we could hear it. Along the way we ran into a few of our beloved characters.

Alice was so adorable and sweet


Avery LOVED Mary....she was really a special find for her


Sadly we didn't get to meet Beast (he was set to have a potty break and we already met Belle)

We were in line to meet Jasmine and Aladdin, but they both had to leave (UGH...we were almost there), but it was no problem because Genie took the place

We watched the entire thing from the outside of the Pavillion. The girls LOVED the music and storytelling.





Next time I will do the preferred seating with Dining. Definitely would have been worth that. We didn't have any probelms seeing anything, but it would have been nice to sit.

Now it is dark and the kids have HAD it for the day. We decide that we won't be able to make it to Illuminations That was the hardest decision of the entire trip, but it was worth it. There will always be another time and it was really time to make it an early night. We RAN to the exit. It was PACKED, the kids were crying and MIL was dragging (we almost got a wheelchair for her)

This was the only bus ride that was awful (naturally). We had to wake the girls up and get them on the bus so they were both a bit weepy (and both wanted mom). DH and DMIL grabbed a girl and I grabbed the stroller. It was PACKED and we had to split everyone up on the bus and all of us had to stand (MIL with a crying Lillian, DH with a crying Avery and me with the stroller). There were several men that really should have offered up at least my DH and DMIL with the crying babies a seat Oh well, we made it

Everyone was in bed within minutes of arriving at the hotel.

Next up, our last park day at Magic Kingdom.
