Wow...you said it! I can tell you that there was ALWAYS more food underneath their chairs than in their mouths

Speaking of feeding my children....I hardly did the entire trip...except for the occasional ice cream or pretzel

OK....so where was I? Day 2, Animal Kingdom day....

So, we have just begun our day in the Animal Kingdom and decide to head straight for the bugs life ride under the tree of life. That was a bit of a mistake on our part....we should have eased Avery into the dark, foggy things. She was having a great time (and I had her on my lap so that she wouldn't feel the "surprise" at the end) until the Grasshoper invasion, smoke, fog, yadda, yadda..... She was only a bit worried, but for the remainder of the trip she would ask me (in her worried way), "is there going to be fog on this ride?". OOPS!!!! Oh well, we live and we learn.

The weather was absolutely perfect. It was in the high 70's and all sun.

Here is an attempt at a self taken family shot....I did manage to get everyone in (not my best angle ).



I can't remember what this fella's name was, but he nearly got in our jeep. His horns brushed against one of the riders....it was pretty cool.



My favorite of all of the animals...the elephant.

The animals were really out and about.

And this sweet ostrich stood in front of our jeep and held up the tour for about 10 minutes because she was guarding her eggs. Protective mother



We loved this attraction. Avery immediately wanted to do it again. Instead we headed over to see the Nemo Musical.

On our way over to the Nemo show we bumped into a few of our favorite hundred acre woods friends.

I wasn't sure if Avery was going to be too into the characters.....SHE WAS She was character hungry from that point on. Lillian on the other hand wasn't too sure about it....eventually she warmed up (but not on this day).

Now onto Nemo the musical. Let me just start by saying...I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this show. It was beautiful and so entertaining. The girls were in a trance. It was one of my favorite attractions the entire trip. Here are some NOT too good pictures





These pictures don't do the show justice. I really loved the pelican in the show.....SOOOO cool.

Then John went off to fetch the two of us some Expedition Everest fast passes and Mema, the girls and I went over to dinoland to try some rides. Here is where we learned that Avery was NOT 40 inches, but 39 inches and she couldn't get on a few of the rides

I digress into a back story...ever since we began watching the planning DVD Avery had decided that she would ride splash mountain. I measured her (and she would ask me to measure her DAILY to be sure that she was tall enough). Now my fear was that she would really be fixated on that and that they wouldn't allow her to ride

Anyhoo....we decided to get on the Triceratops Spin (I think that is what it was called)

By this time Lillian has fallen asleep and Avery was still wired. My DH and I decided to take Lillian with us to EE and test out Baby Swap for that ride and Mema took Avery over to the Boneyard (or whatever that playground is called).

Babyswap was AWESOME and it actually allowed us to ride twice each.....which was even er

WOW was I surprised on this ride. Everything was so unexpected and thrilling. I just loved it. I think this is my new favorite (Rockin Roller Coaster would be close tie).

Here is the coolest and I didn't even know I had this shot until I got home. While I was waiting for John I could see the ride coming down the big drop. I waited for a bit and then tried to get a shot of John when he was going down. I took it, but really couldnt see much on my tiny LCD....and I didn't even know if it was the ride John was on. IT WAS HIS RIDE. He is the second row from the back in the blue t-shirt. Pretty neat.



Anyway...both of us really enjoyed this ride (and baby swap) very much.

Our plan was to leave the park around 3:00PM and just ditch the Jingle Jungle Parade, but we ended up staying for the parade and leaving the park at around 4:15PM....it didn't give us much rest time before the MVMCP, but the parade was AWESOME and the girls loved it.

I will share some pictures of the parade tomorrow....time to get the kiddies to bed.

I am right there with you about Nemo and EE, and what great photos of your girlies with the Pooh gang. Don't you just love it when your little ones surprise you and fall in love with the characters like you'd hoped they would? I have video of my girls (1, 5, 7) meeting Mickey and you can hear me practically squealing with glee in the background; I was just so happy that my baby girl loved Mickey!

I have never really done the character thing at Disney....DH and I were always commandos and going from one thing to the other. It truly was a joy watching the girls interact with the characters. I actually found myself looking for them in the parks. This whole trip was completely different and MUCH better than any trips I ever did pre-children.
