Our plan was to leave the park around 3:00PM and just ditch the Jingle Jungle Parade, but we ended up staying for the parade and leaving the park at around 4:15PM....it didn't give us much rest time before the MVMCP, but the parade was AWESOME and the girls loved it.

I will share some pictures of the parade tomorrow....time to get the kiddies to bed.

I am right there with you about Nemo and EE, and what great photos of your girlies with the Pooh gang. Don't you just love it when your little ones surprise you and fall in love with the characters like you'd hoped they would? I have video of my girls (1, 5, 7) meeting Mickey and you can hear me practically squealing with glee in the background; I was just so happy that my baby girl loved Mickey!

I have never really done the character thing at Disney....DH and I were always commandos and going from one thing to the other. It truly was a joy watching the girls interact with the characters. I actually found myself looking for them in the parks. This whole trip was completely different and MUCH better than any trips I ever did pre-children.

I promise to do more trip report when I get home from work.

My boys really liked the parade at AK too. I am so glad we didn't ditch it either.

Alright...back to Day 2, Animal Kingdom....around 3ish.....

Once John and I finished Expedition Everest (twice each) we decided we should probably high tail it back to the Boneyard to make sure Avery was still on her best behavior for Mema (Lillian was still asleep and with us). We arrived and Avery really had worked up a sweat (and almost gave her Mema a heart attack with all of the dare-devil climing she was doing).

We decided to go and find an ice cream cone for Avery...she was just being such an angel and looked like she was going to have a heat stroke (it was 80 degrees on this day).

She was really enjoying her cone


Until....


Her sister woke up and decided to grab the cone and have a lick I shot this picture just after I gave it back to Lillian. Clearly Avery is still in shock over the entire incident....Lillian looks completely innocent doesn't she :

Now onto Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade. I hope I don't bore you with all of these shots, but I found this parade to be pretty cool. Avery and Lillian really enjoyed the interaction.

It was about 4:15 when we left the park to get in line for our bus. Wouldn't you know it....as soon as the bus arrived Avery annouces that she has to go potty. Daddy took her potty (sorry Cavey....I didn't have him take pictures) and Lillian, Mema and I went on to the resort to try and freshen up before the MVMCP.

This ends up being the longest day that I can remember in my entire life....but OH SO FUN

When we returned to our room this was the only towel guy we found....we called it a bunny, but I am still not too sure. This is the only towel friend we had for the entire week I even left sweet little notes to our Mousekeeper each night with $$$ Oh well, didn't ruin any of our fun.



This is what Avery came back to.... a nice little letter from Mickey Mouse inviting her and Lillian to the MVMCP along with a little mermaid tiara and neclace (each time you push the button it does the little ah ah aaaaahhh, ah ah aaaaaaahh that she does in the movie when she is giving Ursula her voice.....really cute at first, but not for long )



Big thanks to Emerson613 for all of her help on the letters. They were a HUGE hit. Avery treasures her Cinderella's Royal Table invite....but I digress.
