Angie's trip report day 3

This was my favorite day. We arrived at ak at about 7:40am. As we waited in line I turned to see that one of the safari cm's was talking to my ds about his pal mickey. (by the way the kids lovvved these things!) He then asked us if we wanted to be the first family in the park. of course we said yes and then we were on our way. We were the only people in the park for about 20 minutes. KJ the cm took pictures of us in front of the tree of life and an empty park! Awesome! Then we were taken on a private safari!! They stopped for several minutes at a time in front of particularly awesome things. The male lion was prowling and it was really great, the baby hippo was so adorable. So many wonderful things, then when it was over, KJ not only gave us fast passes to return at any time of the day, but he ran and got us a free stroller as well!!! YOu can't beat that! As we left the area, the park opened and in came all the people, heading for the area we were just leaving, boy did it feel good. Then we hit an almost completely empty bug's life show. It was great but I have to say having no line and an empty theater sort of deflated the experience. We ran through the line area so didn't get to really look at the tree of life very long and then with the theater so empty it was sort of eerie... Anyway, left there and headed for dinoland. Rode triceratop spin while dh went on primeval whirl, we were having a great time pawpaw,dh and kids headed for the boneyard while gree gree and I went to Dinosaur, I loved this ride although I only saw about 20 seconds of it since I was gripping my mother for dear life with my eyes squeezed shut. The picture is hilarious! We then switched with dh and pawpaw and then when they were done with the ride we headed for tarzan rocks. Loved this show, I cried here also just loved it. Then headed for Lion King and enjoyed that also. Ate at tusker house for lunch, very good. Rode safari again and then did the animal trails. Then did Kali River Rapids with a signifigant wait. AWESOME the kids and dh and I loved it! Didn't matter that we were soaked we didn't care. After this we did a few other things and then watched the parade. Animal Kingdom was so packed by this time. By far the most crowded day of our whole trip but I loved every second of it. Just ate dinner at capt cooks and went to bed. Day 3 and more later!

Thanks for posting these reports! (having a *Very* bad moment at work, and came here to get some pixie dust!! This was just what I needed!!) Can't wait for the next one!

How awesome to be the 1st family allowed in!! And to have such a great cm as well. WOW!! :) :) :)

no particular reason that I can think of . Maybe it was b/c my son was holding his pal mickey and the cm was interested in that. I have no idea but I'm sure glad it happened!

WOW, I guess "tinkerbell" decided you need some extra pixie dust after what happened at O'hanas. That is awesome I would have just been crying if that happened to me! Congrats!
