My best friend, JC, is on his way to The World, right now. I am extremely envious of him at the moment. But, I remind myself that I will be there in two weeks (what terrible timing... we should have gone together!), so I should calm down.

Anyway, he's only been to WDW once in his life, when he was eight, and his two youngest sisters have not been at all. His family is pretty Disney-oblivious. But I am filling him in. And in return, he is going to let me make a trip report for him. Is that legal? I hope so.

He's staying off-property in a condo. At the moment, he is fighting with his sisters in hopes of an exchange for a room with a TV.

Tomorrow is Epcot day. I spent about two hours filling him in on everything he needs to know, so we'll see how it works out...

He said he's not excited. I told him that I would be excited for him. I've tried not to talk his ear off about Disney, but it was very difficult. I hope he has a happy time!

I found there are only two types of people. Those who like WDW and those who dont. There seems to be no middle ground. Hopefully he will catch the bug for you.

I think it is awesome you are filling in your friend. And yes, I think it would be okay to do a TR for them. Maybe while they are there, a bit of pixie dust will be sprinkled on their noggins and you they will become Disney enthusiasts too!!!

Okay, so we've been texting since 8:00 this morning.

In case you were wondering, he won the battle of the bedroom with the TV by moving the dresser with his sisters' stuff into the other room. Creative.

His family is completely Disney-oblivious, but I'm helping as best as I can. (and, in the meantime, I am enjoying a good laugh with some of his updates)

I think he may have been bitten by the "bug." When I told him that if I was forced to choose, Epcot would be my least favorite park, he said that he was really looking forward to the others, then. I am taking that to mean that he is liking Epcot a lot.

I am deciding whether or not to go ahead and start on a TR from what he's told me, or make him type up a more detailed version. I might do both. Suggestions?

I can't wait much longer. I'll include all that he's told me so far and add his personal write-up later.

Yesterday, his family got to Epcot by... "taking a car to an RV to a bus to a monorail to the park." Why? I have no idea. (Well, they had to meet up with another family... sister's friend's family of four. He was mad about this.) I told him that is the most complicated way of getting to Epcot that I have ever heard. It is.

By the time they got into the park, they were already hungry. So they ate at Sunshine Plaza. They used my tip and got FPs for Soarin' immediately (they were redeemable at 3:30).

After lunch, they headed to Test Track and Mission:Space. I recommended Test Track because JC loves cars (and video games and DCI and me). He didn't care for it too much. Said it was just okay.

Next was Mission:Space. I prepped him on the green-orange thing. He went orange and Elyssa went green. So they both ended up by themselves. (I told him to be navigator and not push the button. He wasn't Navigator but he didn't push the button. He was disappointed when nothing happened ) He actually loved this ride. I expected the opposite. Oh, well... as long as he liked something.

I had recommended Innoventions because he's gamer-crazy (can't live without his xbox... well, he says he can, but I don't think so). It was hilarious because he wanted me to tell him what to try, and I had no idea where he was, so I was like, "Look for this -" It didn't work out too well. I gave up. He was mad because he couldn't ride the Segway (you have to be 16 and he hasn't had his birthday, yet ). I told him to try anyway, but his mother wouldn't let him.

Now, I really wanted him to go on Journey into Imagination, and I kept telling him this, but I'm not sure if he went on it or not...

They went to World Showcase around 5:30-ish. He called me from China. He was hungry, but because of "that annoying little kid," they had to walk all the way to the American Pavillion in the rain to eat because no one could decide on anything.

I forgot to tell him to skip the movie after Maelstrom . He was ranting about how much he hated Norway when I remembered...

So then they watched Illuminations. He told me it was sick. I told him to shut-up and wait for the earth to blow-up.

The plan was to leave the park immediately after the fireworks. I let him know that doing that is a bad idea. I don't know if he listened or not (well, he should really do whatever his parents make him...). But he had to take "a monorail to a bus to a RV to a car to a condo." He asked if he should just walk. I said most definitely.

So JC doesn't hate WDW, but he hates who he's with. He told me to come rescue him immediately.

Today, he's at Magic Kingdom. The plan was to get there at 10am and stay until 10pm (but I was talking to him at 10:30 and he still wasn't in the park). I briefed him this morning. I started going into commando mode, telling him that someone needs to race to Space Mountain and get FPs while everyone else should go to Big Thunder Mountain where the FPer will meet them. But JC told me that I know his family is too fat to do that (his words... not mine). So I decided just to tell him a couple of tricks and give him an idea of what not to miss. When I told him that he could skip Dumbo, he tells me that he plans to ride Dumbo "for the experience. It's all about the experience, right, Victoria?" I would have hugged him...

In the meantime, my mother has taken my phone away, so I will finish writing my pageant speech (I'm Prince Charming - any ideas?). She told me to stop talking to him and let him enjoy Disney (I thought she would've wanted revenge, considering that I texted him the entire time I was at Disney, too.).

Oh, well. I'll wait and get updates, tonight (hopefully). Me talking to him all of the time probably isn't helping him soak in his surroundings, anyway.

I believe, within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Mousebuzzland, this is something that would be covered under what is called Pro Hac Vice...
