Honeymoon trip to the Magical Place
We just got back yesterday afternoon after a great trip. The flight into Sanford was very bumpy but the airport was very easy to get in and out of. We arrived on the 23rd about 5pm and we went to get our rental car and we were bumped up into a Chrysler 300(NICE!) for the week. It pays to tell people you are on your honeymoon sometimes. We preceded over to Cocoa Beach to stay at the ocean front condo that would be our homebase for the week.
We woke up Thursday and after going down to the beach we headed over to DD to eat lunch and do some shopping and to see how many days we had on our passes we had accumulated through the years and to our surprise we had 7 days of park hoppers to use. My wife even had 2 passes from the early 80's that had 2 days left on them. The CM that helped us was great as usual. I will continue later today as I realize I am not in paradise anymore and work needs to be done.

Re: Honeymoon trip to the Magical Place
Ok, part 2. We decided to go to the Studio's Thursday morning . My DW loves the water so we drove to the Boardwalk and caught the boat arriving about 10:30. I know late but remember it is our honeymoon after all. She hadn't visited before so we took a leisurely walk to find out what she wanted to do. We took in the Muppets first(she loves them) and then to the Great Movie Ride. I then asked her if she was feeling like a thrill ride(which she doesn't care for). To my surprise she said yes and I settled on the TOT knowing the RNRC would be too much. The stand-by line was only 15 minutes so it wasn't bad. We got lucky again sitting in the very front row and I could tell she was nervous. Well to make it short I still have her claw marks in my arm but she was quite proud of herself as was I. I knew then I better come up with a good lunch so we settled on the 50's Prime Time Cafe. She loved the Pot Pie and I had the great Fried Chicken. Oh wait, while waiting for our lunch we got some popcorn and sat down on a bench in area in front of Mickey's hat. Within 2 minutes they were roping the area off for the High School Musical 2 show and we got a great seat to watch them come right by us with no one around us. My 12 year-old DD will love those pictures. Ok, I better go get dinner made, the kids are growling lol. More to come soon.

Re: Honeymoon trip to the Magical Place
Ok, where were we? Oh yes, after a great meal we decided to do some shopping. Now I have to tell you my DW could open up her own jewelry store but we were looking for a charm to put on her sterling silver bracelet and we found the perfect one. We found a MM ears charm with enough bling to make her very happy so that made her day. We decided then to catch the boat back to the Boardwalk and go check it POR. We rested a bit then decided to hop over to the MK for the rest of the evening. We arrived about 6 and people were already staking out their areas for Spectromagic so we made our way down Main Street(there isn't a better place at night) towards the castle and then off to Adventureland. She wanted to ride POTC and the wait was only 10 minutes. This was my first time riding since the update and it was very enjoyable. I have to say wearing the "Just got married" buttons we were given by the CM over at DTD was great. We were greeted with "congratulations" by every CM and struck up many conversations with others wearing them too along with other guests noticing them. We did notice we were the oldest couple wearing the buttons and our response to the younger ones was yes, old people get married too. After POTC we walked towards Thunder Mountain. It is such a better ride at night. Yes, my DW wanted to ride it much to my surprise. The wait was 30 minutes and very much worth it. This ride is a 6 during the day but spectacular at night. As we exited we could hear the magical music of Spectromagic. We headed towards the HM and walked right in knowing we could ride it and still catch the parade. We hurried out and caught Spectromagic as it passed by. I love just watching kids watch this parade and of course my 4 DC did enter my thoughts at this time since it is one of their favs. We watched Wishes and then took our time walking towards the exit stopping in a few stores and just soaking in the ambience of trhe evening. It was the extra hours at the MK so many were just starting their evening and from the looks of some of the guests with exhausted children they didn't plan it out very well but that is for another thread.
We hopped on the bus to POR and instead of going into our room we took a walk along the beautiful grounds. It was quite chilly for a Florida evening but not us notherners. I am not sure if there is a better resort for just talking a walk around the property. Ok, off to work. More to come.
