WDW trip (7th - 14th)

The last part of our trip.

Saturday morning it up early and off to Epcot and the Flower festival after breakfast at the coffe bar in the lobby. Not bad muffins. Arrive around 9:30 and hopped over to Test Track. Didn't have any wait. Walk right in. The line to the Fast Pass was longer than the wait line. We love this ride. Then off to the Living Seas to watch the fishes. Not to crowded, no local teen today, last night was grad night at the MK. Just loved watching the Fireworks from the fourth floor at the Contemporary at midnight.
Really miss the trip thru the aquarium now that it gone. the place is no so fun anymore. Then off to see Figment. We love this ride also glad they brought figgy back. No wait again. Then off to the land and the Living Plains. Our first wait of the day. We missed getting ahead of the movie.

Next it off to see what they have for the flower displays and what else. Stop in the back of the West side and looked at the tropical flowers and the very few vendors there. What happen to all the hype about this festival we can't find it.

We it off for lunch at Norway. excellent lunch and now it back to the hotel for a break, it getting hot here again. We spent the next three hours we spend in the pool and relaxing. Tan getting good.

We head out of the hotel for MGM then on to the Swan by boat to play some minuiture golf. Fairway course is now completely redone and id much harder than before. It is hot out here even through it 7PM. After playing we head for Italy and Dinner at 8PM.
Excellent dinner, I alway enjoy eating here since we were station in Italy for two years. It the only place I can get a good exprosso with brandy in it. I'm not driving home.

Can hear Paul Rever and the Raiders playing while eating. After dinner we watch Illuminations again. Still enjoy it after all these years.

Back to the hotel for a night cap and bed.

Sunday we got up early for breakfast at Epcot. It Mother's Day.
Get to the park at 8:30 and get right in thru the breakfast line. Head for our 9AM time between Canda and the UK. Have it in the Millennium Village Pavalion. The breakfast is great. Everything you could want plus lunch portions also. We ate so much that all we had for the rest of the day was a small snack for dinner.

We left for MGM around 10:30 by taking the boat over from Epcot. I suggest that everyone try this one time or another. We use this boat system alot recently it a nice ride and it very relaxing, especially if you are stuffed. A nice 20 mins nap if needed.

Arrive at MGM, headed for TOT, again no lines. The only thing I can say that I was glad I had 20 mins th digest the food. The fourth drop is a mediun drop so it wasn't bad. Decided not to tempt fate and not do the ROR next. Headed for backstage and the MUppets, hit that just right. Good to get out of the heat again today. Next it to Indian Jones. Had to wait for 15 mins here, next it to Beauty and the Beast just got in before the close it for the next showing started. Heat getting to us both today. Head back to the hotel for a rest.

Decide to make it a day and enjoy the pool and watch a little TV tonight. Need to get the water back into us. Walked the shore line and took the boat over to Fort Wilderness and walked between there and the Wilderness Lodge and then took the boat back to the Contemporary.

Monday we ate breakfast at the Concourse Steakhose again. No bad but they have a rowdy group at Chef Mickey. We are off to MK for a trip around the park. We hopped the train and enjoy our ride around the park. Then it off for a few ride then shopping by wife and me carrying. Buzz again, TT, Space Mountain, It a Small thing, Peter Pan, Snow White, Riverboat, Splash, Big Thumber. Time for something to eat so it off to Tom Sawyer Island and Aunt Polly. We hit Aunt Polly and ice cream, another hot day but a wind is here. Now a hour on the rocking chairs and a little nap.

Now it her time for shopping, but guess what, there nothing she like today. I'm not broke. Back to the hotel and change for dinner. After a quick dip and change of clothes it off to Artist Point for Dinner. Nice place for dinner, very comfortable and not very noisy. Food only so so for it price but tasty. Off now for Pleasure Island and night life.

Tueday up early so we can hit what parks we what to hit, First MK for breakfast at bakery shop, then the Jungle Cruise, Speedway and then Buzz again. It then to Epcot, I thought I was going get away without a to big of credit card debit but alsa she find things. Back to the hotel and then off to DTD for more shopping. She found only two t-shirts some soap and a puzzle to buy. We stop at the Rain Forest for a late lunch/early dinner. Afterward she remember she forgot her Ghirardelli fix so it off for candy and ice cream. It now around 6PM so we head back to the hotel. Dropped off the packages and head for the parade at MK and fireworks. Place is crowded. Find our seats in front of the Liberty tavern and start rocking. Watch the parade then headed for Big Thunder for our last ride. Watch the fireworks from Adventure land bridge and then sat for the next 20 mins while the mob left the park. Took the nice slow walk back to the Contemporary and had one last drink at the California Grill bar.

Wed- Got up at 8 am and got ready to head home. Had breakfast at the Concourse Grill again and by the time we got back to our room, the driver was there to pick us up. As we were left off at the airport and walked into it, we realized it back to reality again, even though we were disappoint this time somewhat it still a great way to escape the daily rat race.

PS, The one thing I can say for Disney this time, the money they save me by my wife not buying like she does will allow us to head out on the cruise earlier than we expected. Next May it off to the western Carb instead of two years from now.
