We have always done AK first thing in the day (rope drop). I think I see it in a different light now. we will definitely go at night on this trip. That looks like it was so much fun. Never thought of doing EE or KRR at night. Great pics by the way.

AK at night was part of the reason this was my favorite day. We had such a great time; it was so different from any of the other times I'd been to the park. Everything looks and feels so different, and the crowds are almost non-existant. It was only my second pm EMH experience, and it was so different from the one at MK!

I'm so glad you're all inspired to try pm EMH at AK; enjoy it and come back with lots of pictures!

I have wanted to do a night-time EMH at AK for the last 3 trips. I have already planned it for Sept. Even more determined to do it now that I have seen your pics. Thanks for sharing and you have a lovely family.

Day four - Thursday, May 1 - DHS/Epcot

I was the first one to wake up this morning. Everyone else was still sound asleep after our very busy night at AK. I had originally wanted to get to the Studios for rope drop, but I knew after two very busy days and late nights, no one would be up for it. That did not stop me from waking up at 7:30, though! As I lay there wondering what to do, I realized what day it was: it was Thursday, which meant EMH at MK!

I could probably count on the kids to sleep a while longer, and even if the kids woke up, Rick would continue to sleep! I could run to MK for an hour or so, and be back in time to get them up and out the door for a late start at DHS. Worked for me! After a quick, and quiet, shower, I got dressed as quickly as I could and headed out the door for the Great Ceremonial House. I really had only one goal: Space Mountain! Anything else I got to do would be icing on the cake.

It was strange riding the monorail all by myself, and even stranger going into the gates of the MK without the kids! I felt a little guilty, but was determined to appreciate my precious time alone! I stopped to take a couple of PP pics in front of the castle. (I ordered my CD yesterday so I should have those pics to post later in the week!) Then I took a right to Tomorrowland and headed straight for Space Mountain! Unfortunately, it was down and they didn’t know when it would be back up and running! Rats, foiled again! I decided, since I was right there, so go on Astro Orbiter, a ride I had never been on. The CM there was training two other CMs, and while we waited for the elevator, I noticed that he was from Ann Arbor, which is where I went to college. As he handed me my little ticket, I said to him, “Go blue!” which is the universal saying from one U of M fan to another. He seemed very surprised and said, “Oh, thanks!” It’s not the usual response, but it was early, so I let him off the hook!

Let’s just say that after my anticipation for Space Mountain, AO was a bit of a letdown. I really didn’t enjoy it very much. I didn’t mind the height so much, but I didn’t like how the rockets leaned in. I really felt like I needed to brace myself or I’d be squashed into the side of the metal rocket! I took some very poor pictures from up there, which was also a disappointment, because I thought that would be the best reason for riding: the view! Hey, I was still on my own for the very first time at the Magic Kingdom; I still had some time, so off I went!

I headed toward the hub, taking my time and lots of pictures!









I took pictures of all the statues surrounding the hub, but I'll only post a few.
