Beth, I miss Bear too. I just can't bring myself to see Playhouse Disney anymore.
You and Mickeysgirlz have made me really want to try H&V for a meal now. I have shied away from it in the past due to the less than stellar reviews, but, I think we will give it a try. Thanks for posting the link for the t-shirts. Perfect summer time project!

Definitely do H & V. I am hoping it will be as good for dinner, or DH is going to be very disappointed! Be sure to let me know how your shirts turn out; just make sure to have lots of rags handy; afterwards, you'll have tye-dye rags! ![]()

Re: Thanks, Nana! Our Spring 2008 trip report
We had a lot on our agenda today: Chef Mickey’s, a nice break, an appointment for the big girls at BBB and the Pirate & Princess Party! I had mentioned to Rick that I would really like to see the opening ceremonies at the MK, and planned to take both of the big girls with me. Since we didn’t have cell phones anymore, we had made plans for him to get Kate and Christian ready, and meet us at Chef Mickey’s. Well, as it turned out, Grace was completely wiped out, so when I gave her the option of going or sleeping, so chose sleeping! This is very unusual for my earliest of risers, but I figured if she needed the extra sleep, I’d let her have it! It would definitely make things easier for all of us if Grace were properly rested!
Kate, on the other hand, was awake and raring to go – must have been that nap she had the afternoon before! So, Kate, Rose and I got dressed and headed off to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom! Staying at the Polynesian really made quick trips to the MK so quick and easy! I wanted to rent a double stroller for the morning so we could use one again that night at the P & P Party, so we left Kate's stroller at the Poly. Unfortunately, I had downsized that morning and only had my Passporter pouch with me, which did not have enough money for a double stroller. Ooops! Consequently, Kate would finally get to walk like a big girl! It was okay, though, because we wouldn't only be there for about an hour. We didn't have to wait very long for the ceremonies to begin, and I had both my digital camera AND my video camera ready to capture the moment. I had checked to make sure I had enough space on the video camera's disk, but when I turned it on, it showed low battery! Oh no! Not to worry; I had Rose ready to take video with my digital camera, just in case the video camera konked out before I recorded the whole ceremony. We have a CD of WDW music, and the opening ceremony music is some of our favorites; we were so glad to be able to see it in person! ![]() ![]() ![]() The family of the day was from Michigan, too! ![]() Kate had fun collecting streamers when the ceremony was over... Once the ceremonies were over, and we were allowed to enter the park, I stopped and got Mickey ears for Kate. It took a while to choose a pair, since she seemed too big for the infant size but too small for the ones for big girls! I ended up purchasing a pair that were just like Rose's, but it didn't take long to see that they were just not going to work out, and we ended up exchanging them on our way out! They looked cute while they lasted, though... ![]() ![]() We took the shortcut through Liberty Square, where Rose wanted her picture in front of the Liberty Bell, since my parents had been there this past fall. The one here in WDW was actually made from the same mold as the one in Philadelphia. ![]() We cut through Liberty Square to avoid the crowds heading for Dumbo. Going this way, I learned from Princess Sharon, leads you to the Peter Pan ride. Since we were right there, it was our first ride of the day. Next up was our family favorite (the girls in the family, at least), it's a small world. While there, I took a verboten flash photo of the panda in China, since pandas are Rose's favorite! ![]() We headed to Cinderella's carousel next. I don't have any photos of Kate riding it, since she was sitting with me. I do have one of Rose, though! ![]() She didn't get to ride Cindy's horse this time, because a girl of about 14 beat her to it! We headed to the teacups next, since we had not ridden them when we were here on Tuesday. Rose rode by herself, while Kate went with me. She was not interested in spinning very fast, so I really had to hold back, because I love to spin that teacup as fast as I possibly can! ![]() ![]() ![]() Apparently, I wasn't going too fast, because she sure looks like she's enjoying herself! No trip to the MK would be complete without a trip on Kate's rollercoaster, so the Barnstormer was next on our list. Again, Rose rode alone and Kate was my seatmate. She just loves this rollercoaster! Oh yes, I can see BTMRR and Space Mountain in Kate's future! Instead of hiking all the way back to the front of the park, we did the smart thing and hopped on the train at the Toon Town station. It saved us a whole bunch of time, as well, because we were at the Main Street station just after 10 a.m. Here's a photo from the train - one of my favorites from the trip: ![]() I just noticed that Rose is wearing a DVC button. There was a DVC kiosk right next to the stairs at the Poly which lead to the second floor where you catch the monorail. In the morning when we went by, the CM working there gave the kids lots of stickers and DVC pins. Of course, Rose doesn't know what DVC is, but she must have liked the look of the pin because she wanted to wear it! Maybe someday she'll know about DVC...I can dream, can't I? We stopped at the same cart right before you go under the train station to exchange Kate's Mickey ears. I didn't see another pair that would work for her, but Rose found some she liked, so she paid the difference and got herself a snazzy Minnie headband, complete with sequins and a bow! You'll see that in the Chef Mickey's pictures coming up soon. My receipt says we made that purchase at 10:09, and we were on the monorail shortly thereafter. You remember that the plan was for Rick to get the two remaining kids up and dressed so they could meet us at the Contemporary for our late CM breakfast? Well, I wasn't 100% confident that he would do this, so we got off at the TTC and hurried back to the room so I could get them moving and we could make our 10:50 ADR. But who should we bump into on our way back to the room? Rick, Christian and Grace! He heard me coming before I saw them, and called out to us. I was so proud of him for holding up his end of the bargain! The man likes to relax on vacation (imagine that!) so I really thought they'd all still be in their jammies watching TV! We all hopped on the monorail together, and we were off to our very first visit to Chef Mickey's!

Oh, yeah! Chef Mickey's! I have wanted to go there....cant wait.
This is such a great trip report, that Kate is just a doll! All of your children really reflect the Disney spirit...and you have captured that so well in your pics. What a great trip...and a fab TR!
