Re: Thanks, Nana! Our Spring 2008 trip report
I'm sad that your TR is coming to an end but I know there will be another coming soon since you and Rick will be there in under 30 days!!! I can't wait to see what your experience will be like without the kids!! DH and I find WDW can be very romantic in little ways without kids!! (but we sure did miss her the time we left her home!) Thank you for the wonderful trip report!!!

Re: Thanks, Nana! Our Spring 2008 trip report
The girls and I took the monorail to the MK for one last look at the castle. It was after noon when we arrived, and we needed to be ready to leave from the Poly at 2:30, so time was of the essence! The only attraction the girls really wanted to do was Philharmagic; we hadn't gotten a chance to see it even though we had FPs for it on our first day here. I kept saying we'd get back to it, and we never had. Rick and I are definitely doing this one on our trip, since he's never seen it!
The park was particularly crowded; we weren't used to getting to a park so late! I had missed a couple of the princess windows the other day, so I took pictures of a couple: ![]() ![]() Someone was standing in front of the Ariel window, so I missed that one again! I'll put it on my list for September. Grace had been wanting a Tramp to go with her Lady, so we stopped in the Emporium to look around a bit. We couldn't find one, and when we asked, they directed us to County Bounty in Toon Town, so off we went! We passed by Philharmagic on our way, but since it's a long show, I told the girls I didn't think we had time. When we got to County Bounty, we looked around a bit for the Tramp, but Grace didn't seem to mind not being able to find one once she laid her eyes on WEBKINZ at Disney World! She has so many that I won't buy them for her anymore, but she was in charge of her own money at WDW, so she chose a Chihuahua named Cookie while Rose bought a black poodle named Holly. I also bought them pins for their favorite ride - RnRC for Rose and Test Track for Grace. The only other thing on our agenda was to get an ice cream cookie sandwich from the Min Street Bakery. We had one snack credit left, so I used that up and paid with Disney Dollars for the other two. While I was paying, the man behind me spotted the Disney Dollars and said, "Is that real money?" I told the girls they couldn't eat them until we got back to the resort, knowing that they would be melty by then, but not wanting them to make a big mess on the monorail. Here's the last MK photo! ![]() I had told them to "look sad" and I don't think they were acting! This is how I felt on the inside, too! ![]() We took the monorail back and met the other in our room. We collected up our carryon bags and said goodbye to Tokelau house. I stopped at the front desk to have them change the room service charge on our bill to table service credits and took my last photos of the Poly: ![]() ![]() I grabbed an OJ for Rick from Captain Cook's while we waited out front for the DME bus to take us back to the airport. The girls tried to eat their cookie sandwiches, but those things are big and they were having trouble staying clean. Rick got a little frustrated with them and made them throw them away about halfway through. A DME bus pulled up right on time, but I noticed something right away: there was no lift! I asked the bus driver right away and he said he wasn't notified that we would need one. PANIC time! I ran in and spoke to the same woman at the desk that had taken care of our room service bill. She checked DME and said that they didn't have record of us needing one, either! She immediately called DME and they said a bus would be send to the Poly just for us, but wasn't sure when it would arrive. Fortunately, our bags were checked and we had our boarding passes, plus our flight wasn't for three hours, but I was still a little nervous. About 2:45, a bus pulled up. I believe the driver's name was Richard, and he was awesome! He took us right to the airport and we got there in plenty of time for our flight. Phew! ![]() Good-bye, Disney World! We waited a while, bought a sandwich, shopped at the Disney store to use up the kids' Disney dollars (I bought a Poly pin for me, and DFIL a nice mug with Grampa on it), the kids had some snacks, we got on the plane and flew home. DFIL picked us up and our vacation was at an end. I'll be back with final thoughts!

Aw, I'm sad that the TR is over! The girls faces were priceless looking so sad!!
I can't wait to read your next trip report, you have a knack. I'm tossing around the idea of doing one, but I'm sure it won't be as much fun to read. Enjoy your trip with Rick!!!

Re: Thanks, Nana! Our Spring 2008 trip report
I'm starting to get ready for our Labor day trip, so it's time to wrap this baby up! How do I wrap up such a wonderful trip? With the help of my Passporter pocket!
Our Magic Memories Our most memorable day was...Wednesday because we had a nice breakfast with Hugh and his family at Kona Cafe, then went to AK for PM EMH. The park really cleared out by closing time. It was awesome to see the streets so empty! Our most memorable place was...Epcot World Showcase, because we had some wonderful interaction with characters here AND our own personal Photopass Photographer! Our most memorable attraction was...(this one was hard)...Pooh and iasw because I got to take pictures since there was no one else around us! Our most memorable activity...was the P & P Party fireworks because we were in an awesome location on the TL bridge, and saw Tink fly right over us. Plus we had listened to the music at home so much, and it was great to see it live and in person! Our most memorable meal was...there were so many, it was too hard to choose just one - Le Cellier, CRT, Coral Reef, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickeys, Pizzafari, Ohana breakfast with Rose... Our most magic moment of all was...meeting CM Hugh because he gave me an American flag Mickey pin to give to my brother as a gesture of thanks for serving our country. Special memories of our vacation: Alice, Dan the PP photographer, Le Cellier and Stephanie our waitress, the girls loving Mission:Space, seeing Hugh and his family, meeting Belle and the Beast, early morning at MK, Eduardo, CRT, Casey's & Wishes, Kona Cafe, PM EMH at AK, EE in the front row, Kate with Sorcerer Mickey, Rose's drawing of Piglet, finally seeing the MK opening ceremonies, the girls and I doing 6 rides in the first hour at MK, Chef Mickey's, the Pirate & Princess Party, alone time at MK/Studios AM EMH, staying at the Poly for the first and probably last time, all of the special treatment Christian received from the top-notch CMs...I could go on and on! Thank you all so much for coming along for the ride. It has been great to relive the trip, and to read all of your kind and wonderful comments about my family. I don't know when our next family trip will be, but I hope we won't have to wait too long to see our children's faces light up because of the magic that is all around you at Walt Disney World! ![]()
