Re: Thanks, Nana!
I'm really enjoying your trip report. It is always impressive to hear about the caring cast members who really take the time to have meaningful interactions with guests. The thank you cards is such a nice way to show apreciation of them.

Re: Thanks, Nana!
After our two trips with Pooh, it was off to the carousel! There was absolutely no wait for it. Rose got to ride Cinderella’s horse, which made Grace very sad. While Christian and I watched the girls ride, I talked with a man who was watching his son ride the carousel; the son was about Christian’s age and didn’t seem all that excited about being on the carousel! The man said his wife and daughter were riding, as well, and he told me they had wanted to find Cindy’s horse but didn’t know which one it was. I described it for him, and then pointed it out (it’s on the second row in, with a golden ribbon on its tail and purple flowers on its mane; there will be a picture of Grace riding it during the P & P party later on in the TR.)
![]() There's Daddy and Kate! So easy to spot in their yellow shirts! ![]() See Rose's yellow shirt? See the golden ribbon on her horse's tail? We had skipped It’s a Small World earlier, so it was time for our trip around the world. This is one of our family’s favorite rides; we love the music and all the colorful singing dolls. It was my little brother’s favorite ride when he was 3 and it probably drove my mom crazy when that was all he would ride (he didn’t like rides that went around!) but we ride it multiple times each trip. This is one of the accessible rides in Fantasyland; you get to enter through the exit ramp, which takes you right down to the platform to wait for the accessible boat. The wait is never long here, so we were riding and singing very shortly. I didn't take any photos, because I just wanted to enjoy the ride with my family (plus it is really hard to get good photos in here without using the flash!) We called my MIL while we rode, leaving a message with the small world song playing in the background. She loves this ride as much as we do! Apparently, when she and FIL heard the message, she said to him, “We should have been there…” This is good news for us, since it means we’ll all be going again…hopefully sooner rather than later! Right after I hung up, I got a call from my brother. They had arrived at the MK, and were on their way to Toon Town. We had done almost everything we had wanted to do in Fantasyland, so we made plans to meet up in TT shortly! Up next: riding Kate's rollercoaster!

Re: Thanks, Nana!
Gotta love the carousel.....we rode it about 15 times in December. It is amazing how fun something so simple can be.

We asked in the Germany toy shop if would be able to meet her anytime later that day, and she was MIA that day. We had to tell DD that she had a cold and needed to rest. Unfortunately, we were leaving later that day. Even though she's moved on to Ariel as her favorite princess, she's looking forward to seeing her this trip.

Re: Thanks, Nana!
Toon Town, here we come! I had wanted to be done with Fantasyland by 10:00, but I picked up Philharmagic FPs as we walked by, and they said it was 10:20. I could get my next FP set at 10:20, so it is true what they say: the Phil FP machine is not connected with other FP machines. We all visited Pete’s garage on our way into Toon Town, and Grace did some shopping at the little kiosk nearby. We couldn’t find the lanyard she’d brought from home, and she was itching to do some pin trading, so she bought a new lanyard. (I ended up finding it in her sister’s suitcase when we got home, so now she has two!) I called my brother and he directed me to the face-painting booth. While Christian and I headed over there, Rick took the girls on Barnstormer with no wait. This was to become what Kate would lovingly call “my rollercoaster.” Yes, folks, she is destined to become a thrill junkie like her mama!
Here is the result of Macy's face painting: ![]() As soon as Rick and the girls got off of Kate's rollercoaster, the girls and I joined my brother and his family for a spin. The line had built up a bit by this point, but we chatted away and the time passed by very quickly. While we were waiting in line, I took this photo (the only one of my brother the entire trip!) ![]() I may have taken this while we were waiting, as well. Kate loved Donald's Boat although she never got to play in the fountain area. ![]() After the rollercoaster ride, we met back up with Christian and Rick and visited with my brother a little longer. Everybody was thirsty as it was a lovely warm day, so we bought some more frozen lemonades at the Toontown Farmers Market. We had a train to catch (to Frontierland!) and they were planning on hitting Fantasyland, so we parted company until tomorrow morning's Kona Cafe breakfast. At some point that morning, I noticed that I'd lost my camera case. I had my camera, but I eventually figured out that my case (and an extra memory stick) was left behind at the Winnie the Pooh ride. For some reason, I was juggling a lot of stuff while I was riding in that hunny pot with Christian. I didn't let it bother me too much, but we did stop at Lost and Found a few times over the next few days! Time to head to Frontierland! We hopped on the train at Toon Town, planning to head for the mountains (Big Thunder and Splash, that is!) This is one of my favorite pictures of the trip: ![]() It reminded me of one of my favorite pictures from last year: ![]() Grace sure has changed a lot! Christian really enjoys riding the train: ![]() Up next: more MK fun!

I SOOOO hope you ended up finding that camera case. Good for you for not letting it get you down (I am sometimes guilty of focusing on the "small stuff" and ruining the bigger picture )Quote:

The first train photo was taken in Jan 2007, so it was actually almost 18 months difference, but I was still amazed at the change in Grace. She'll be 7 in August. Where does the time go? Christian will be 13 in two weeks! Yipes I'm getting old. Thanks for reading. Back with more as soon as my husband goes to work. ![]()
