Sunday May 11 - Mother's Day at WDW!!

Being at WDW on Mother's Day is just as fun as being there for your birthday. We were greeted at the gate with a "Happy Mother's Day" and handed a pretty carnation!! Then all day, CM wished me a HMD . . . it was sooooooo nice!!!

AWE!!!!!!!!!!!! We were there on Father's Day a few years ago and all the CM's did the same thing for the daddies..no carnations though but it was still very thoughtful!!

So it was Mother's Day and the FLOWER and GARDEN Show at Epcot . . . what could be better?

We got to the gate around 9:30am . . . headed inside and straight to Soarin' we wanted to see if DD4 was tall enough and could ride . . . she's been waiting a really long time AND DID NOT GET ON IN FEB FOR HER BIRTHDAY TRIP!!

So we get to The Land and she walks up to the stick and YAHOO . . . she's OVER, I mean WAY OVER . . . I couldn't believe she grew that much since FEB (and darn I didn't take a picture) The wait was 20 minutes . . . which is NOTHING for this ride . . . we grabbed fast passes and hopped on line!!

Well OF COURSE she it!!

After the ride, we were hungry for breakfast, so we went over to Sunshines and grabbed some breakfast . . . always a good, fast meal here! YUM!!

By the time we were done our FAST PASSES were ready . . . so we DID IT AGAIN!! FUN!!!

Next up the kids wanted to do the boat ride (they really like this!) but the wait was 40 MINUTES?? What is up with that? So we decided to head upstairs so they could do a kidscot and then we were going to head to The Seas for the Nemo ride!!

While they were coloring the GARDEN GRILL opened, and the characters came out to meet the crowd . . .

By the time we left the land it was around 11:30am and the crowds outside were getting heavy . . . not so much like summer, but long enough . . . wait times were around 20 minutes for most attractions!!

Anyway . . . we love the living Seas and spend hours here . . . we hopped on line for Nemo and friends . . . the line moved so quickly and we were on in like 14 minutes . . . the ending!!

Next the girls wanted to check out all the animals . . . and of course "find Nemo" DD4 wanted a picture with Bruce, but that place was CRAWLING with kids . . . never saw so many in my life . . . the the chance of that happening was slim! (and didn't)

We headed upstairs for the kids to do another Kidscot and then we talked to some of the CMs about the different fish, etc.

My XDH had never seen Turtle time with Crush . . . and DD4 loves this so we headed downstairs and a show was starting in 10 minutes . . . IT WAS HILARIOUS . . . it's always good when you get a little kid that says something REALLY funny . . . and we got that kid!!

As always we left the Living Seas happy . . .

So after this we hit Figment (update improved it a bit, but it's still just for the little ones) then Honey I shrunk the audience . . . this is OK, needs updating, my DDs never even heard of these movies!

There was lots going on for the kids, cuz of the Flower and Garden show, and Mother's Day . . . so we decided to stop and smell the roses!!
