Universal trip report
Ok, I know I didn't go to WDW, but I just returned from visiting my sister and her kids in Florida and took my 13 year old niece and my 10 year old nephew to US and IOA. So anyway, here in my trip report.
I started out by visiting my sister in Lake Worth Fl from May 22-26. It rained every night but the weather was warm and it was better then being in NJ. On May 27, which was Samantha's 13th b-day, we left for Orlando. We arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel around 11:30, checked-in and headed to Islands of Adventure. I have just one word of advice for anyone who visits this park, you will get very wet on some of the rides. After leaving the park at 8pm, we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, which had great food. They also did a great job embarassing samantha by making her stand on a counter and announce to everyone eating that it was her b-day and making everyone shout happy birthday to her while she blew out the candle on her cake. After dinner we went back to the hotel and went swimming. The pool was great, with a really nice water slide for both children and adults. After swimming, it was off to bed. On May 28 we spent the day at Universal Studios, doing every ride in park and seeing all the shows. After closing, we returned to the hotel and dropped my nephew at Camp little Rock so that me and my niece could shop and walk around city walk and eat at margaritaville. On May 29 we went to Wet N Wild in the morning and then returned to US for the evening. We ate lunch at NBA City, which did nothing for me. We returned to the hotel after a long day and went to bed early. On May 30, which was our last day, we checked-out and headed for Sea World. We feed the dolphins, stingrays, and sharks and ate the the sharks underwater grill, which is a resturant inside the shark tanks. It was very cool. After seeing all the sites and shows we headed back to my sisters house, very tired and wet!!!! Even though it was not Disney, I had a great time. Anyone who is planning to go this route, my only suggestion is staying on-site while you are there. For guest staying on-site, you get to bypass the lines by just showing your room key at all attractions and shows. No waiting for a time to return or only having one fast pass ticket at a time. That right there made it worth wild to stay on site.

Glad you had a good time. The US hotels are very nice. I have stayed at Portofino Bay... it was beautiful. And yes, bypassing the lines is great. Nevertheless, there is no place like WDW!!!!!!
