BuzzLightyear - Final Day 8

Ah yes, day 8. The day without a room. The day your toddler won't nap cause he is finally used to the room that you once had. The day you have to wait all day before getting on a bus to take you to the plane that takes you to another bus which takes you to your car which takes you to finally your house.

:laugh

You all know the day I'm talking about. The day you have to leave!!!:dazed :dazed

We made the best of it and checked out at the last minute went to DTD for some browsing and before you know it we were back home -

where I can now begin to write that book about air travel with an active toddler:laugh

I'll will post some reviews in Review Central soon.

Now can I start planning my next wdw trip ???

Thanks for the trip report, it was great!

OK, here is my question. We are going next March, and we are currently at OKW, but we are trying to get into Beach Club Villas, when the time comes. How well did you like your room and the resort, were you facing the quiet pool or the other way, and was your room noisy?

OK, that was three questions, but who is counting?

Still not quite sure how you managed to fit laundry into your schedule at WDW :)

LOL. First let me say it will be a pleasure to finally be able to answer a question or 3 for you mickey!

First we were facing the "other way". Not much of a view. We could see the very tip of the ToT lurking above the other section of the regular Beach Club that was in front of us.

We weren't bother by noise at all. In fact we spent a lot of "balcony" time during this trip - during afternoon naps and at night and we hardly even saw others out on they're balconies.

The room itself was an AAA+++. Just the best room I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Very roomy, clean, just perfect. They really did a great job with the design.

The resort itself is awesome also. You can beat the great location to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk. My only problem with the Villas was being so far from the action. It was a bit of a haul to the lobby. Even further to get to Beaches & Cream for afternoon coffee and further yet to the "toddller" part of SAB. I would try for a room closer to the Villas entrance if I were staying there again.

Hope this helps !!

Buzz,

Welcome home. I know what you mean by the middle of the trip you starting to bum out beacuse you only have 3 days left and you don't want the vacation to end. Sounds like you had a good experience with the beach club villas. Did you find the pool crowded since it's shared by the three resort areas?

I may change our ressie to the Yacht Club beacuse about a week ago I upgraded and booked a deluxe consierge room (and I ask at the time was it on the 5th floor - the consierge floor) I was told yes. But after reading some posting I found out these rooms (although bigger than a standard) our not on the 5th floor. For the extra $150 I shelling out per night I want to physically be on the floor. Now the Beach Club isn't available (it not avail till 10/27 - 11/3) my week so I may have to switch to the Yacht Club.

Must have gotten someone new when I called and they just didn't know that all consierge room aren't on the consierge floor. All though I'm a little bummed I still going to disney and wherever we end up we will have a great time.

Paula

Thanks for the welcome back!!

When we first arrived (Sunday) the pool area was PACKED. The rest of the week it was very, very un-crowded. We had the place almost to ourselves on the two mornings we did "pool time".

I really like how the Yacht Club looked, the whole frontage area anyways, looked better to me than the Beach Club frontage. I will be staying at the Yacht Club the next time we opt for the "Epcot resort area".

Any other questions about the area - ask away!!!

LOL, thanks for the help. I have been there before, just not stayed there. The rooms around the quiet pool seemed like they might be a bit noisy, so I was just wondering. I am hoping we will be able to stay there next year, or at Saratoga Springs if possible. The location is just wonderful, and we are totally willing to give up the Grand Villa at OKW for a two bedroom at BCV. I think your trip report and answers just put it over the top, now I just need to hope it is available when we are going.

Great trip report, I enjoyed all of it. It sounds like you fit a lot in yet took time to rest so your little guy was well rested and had fun too. When we have gone in the past we go from dawn to midnight. Now that we have a little one (well, not so little, he just turned 5) we will have to slow it down this summer.

I hope you posted reviews, I'm looking forward to those.
