That is just craziness, what is going on? I thought bell services would be available 24 hrs. a day? What about people that come with 4 kids & have a ton of luggage, or people with mobility issues, or even elderly people. I can't imagine that "they're gone for the day" would be an appropriate answer AT ALL! I am glad you liked your room though. ![]()

Welcome home!!! So sorry to read about the no-help attitudes you had to deal with.
I hope your trip had more good Disney moments than bad ones. And I may have to pass on the DP for our next trip. Just seems like way too much food.

I can attest, going 2/3's of the way to Australia doesn't allow you to escape terrible, horrible, no good very bad days, either.. ![]()

Well I am certainly glad you liked the room. What a bummer about bell services though. I also thought there was always somebody around to help with luggage. :(

Re: David & David and the and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Trip (Report)
I wonder if it would be better to focus on good stuff than this train-wreck of a trip.
Basically some random thoughts:The theming was cute and fun -- just not as good in every way as the Moderates. We love to explore the moderate and other hotel areas with all the green space and theming, all the garden-y or woodsy areas, while the icons and things at the All-Stars were cute but... that's all. I had a Lapu Lapu at the Kona restaurant. OMG, never again. Wow. Couldn't drink more than half of it. That thing is potent. And I may really not have much taste for alcohol! I had fantasies, after all the stress we'd been through, of lying by the pool with some sort of drink, but... I just don't get much into that stuff. Perhaps I need to work on that, perhaps it's my metabolism, but if it's more than a tiny bit strong I don't like the flavor -- it's like Listerine or something to me.The dining plan, since it no longer includes tip or appetizer, can still be really expensive! And honestly when (apart from a non-free dining plan) you find yourself saying that the tip and such were not worth the price... well... The fact is I think we'd like to kind of forget about this trip and move on... Well, learn from it of course. Oh! We missed Gay Days altogether except for running into a group of guys at the Poly while waiting for our ADR, and it was so cool chatting with them that next year we want to actually go for Gay Days instead of avoiding it. I don't think I've been as self-conscious about my weight as I got on this trip. But the general oogy tummy feeling made me say "enough." So we're working on that now. And I am royally sick of having to rent a wheelchair to go to Disney. Cubby has neuropathy in his feet. I don't, so I have no excuse other than my back going out carrying all this excess weight. If we both work on it we may BOTH be able to be free of having to use a wheelchair, which would be wonderful. So... working on it! David
