DAY 5 May 31ST
Today was special because we had plans to MEET Disney Teacher. She had a very late flight, and her family didn't get into the lodge until EARLY that morning. She was still so kind to come on over and meet us for the first time in person. Thanks DT, for getting up early, and spending some time with us. IT was great meeting you. We had in the back of our minds that we were going to try to meet up again at MK with some other MB'ers.. but as the day played out.. it didn't work out. Maybe next time. So after meeting DT, we hopped on a boat, and headed for MK. This was the Pirate & Princess Party day. We did not have plans to attend the party, but we wanted to take advantage of the LOW CROWD day at MK. We found that on P&P party DAYS, the crowds were low. We took advantage of this and WALKED on almost everything we wanted to ride. We road BTMR, SPLASH, Pooh, SPACE, Pirates, HM, Small World, TL Speedway (kids love to do this one) & more. We stopped for lunch at Panochio's Haus. 3 of us had the Turkey & Bacon Panini, & DD had pizza. The Panini was new to us, and was actually a nice change. I recommend it! At this point of our trip we still had NOT tried a Dole Whip, so that was next. We went right over to Aloha Isle & had our first Dole Whips. Lets put it this way.... We were not disappointed. I had heard so many positive reviews, and they were de~lish! We were ready to do some resort hopping so we traveled by monorail over to the Poly. I think the Poly is so beautiful, just love it there. Of course we had to get a Lapu, Lapu, and check out the gift shops. Last edited by Daisee; 07-26-2008 at 10:24 PM. |

By this time, we were so tired, and DD had sunburned shoulders. We actually had to buy her a tshirt WITH sleeves at MK to cover them up. SPF 50 Sunblock was just not getting it for her. We took the monorail back to MK, hopped on a boat and headed back to WLV. We saw DT one more time, for like a second on the boat launch, and we took a much needed nap.
SO Well rested, we were hungry, and were ready for TRAILS END. This is one of our favorite, off the beaten path buffets. It is actually located in Fort Wilderness Camp Ground. We took a boat right over to FW, and were seated right away. We didn't originally have ADR's for this night. But we took a chance, called from our room, and got right in. So be sure to take the chance and call ahead, or just walk up (if you are in a park) to see if they have availability. You just never know. DD just loves Chicken!!! DAY 6 ~ June 1st
Today we headed back to the Studios. Lunch was at 50's Prime Time. This is one of our favorite places to eat because of the nostalgia and the fun we have with the waiters. Our waiter was named Jeff and he said he was originally from Kentucky like us. He had some really odd trivia to share with us and made our lunch fun. Daisee and son didn't eat their greens but they didn't get the surprise desert like I had a few years ago.  After lunch we headed back to the usual rides at DS. Did Toy Story Mania again playing against Daisee this time. I almost let her win.  Here's DD at 50's. Last edited by rlander; 07-26-2008 at 10:00 PM. |
