At the end of the night Ojay brought out a dessert platter. To me, this was reason enough to go here! There was a sample of three desserts (plus a birthday cupcake!) which had rice pudding with strawberry sauce, princess cake which was like vanilla pudding and strawberry cake layered on top of each other and SO good, and chocolate moose cake. I really loved the two cakes and so did Dave. I have never liked Rice Pudding but I did try it, but to me it wasn't great.
Dave also got a birthday card from all the princesses! He blushed big time when he opened it!

Overall, Akershaussusushs was better than we expected. We really weren't excited about the princesses but they actually ended up making this restaurant #2 in Overall Experience. We have a whole points system with charts..it's ridiculous..but I'll share it later. Belle and Ariel were fantastic and should be promoted!

Wowee . . . you make the place sound WONDERFUL!! I'm going to have to try it again!

We did not have a good experience here, I think it was a multitude of things:

1. 4 little girls
2. Down pouring rain
3. Last dinner seating
4. P&PP at MK

Since none of us each much fish/seafood, the cold bar was a turn off. Wish I had know we could order kids meal stuff that would have saved the day!!

I DO REMEMBER THE DESSERTS AND THE GLOWTINI-those two were deelish!

Honestly, it was good but I don't think we'll go back anytime soon so don't make ADRs on my account. The princess interaction with Ariel and Belle was great but Jasmine, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty were just OK. Our server was nice and friendly but she scored last on the overall service rating scale. I liked the cold bar but I loved the peel and eat shrimp and various salads..I did not eat herring or mackerel or anything gross like that. The desserts were excellent and we loved being able to have a variety instead of just getting one dessert. Dave and I have such similar taste that we usually order the same dessert so we rarely try anything new.

OH! OK! Well at least you got ALL PRINCESSES and the photos are GREAT!

Yes I remember the dessert tray being the highlight of our meal too!

We had Snow White . . . and she brushed by us so quickly, when her handler came around to check to see if we had seen everyone, we said NO . . . she was NOT A HAPPY Princess when she came back to the table. (Luckily the kids don't notice this stuff!)

The coolest part of the meal was that when the CM came by with our picture he showed it to us and then he gave them to us! We got an 8 x 10 and 4 4x 6's. I had heard that this was going to start coming with the meal but I wasn't sure if it was true or started yet. But it had! Luckily the one the photographer took was much better than the one on our camera! It's very cute and we were excited to have it!

The Rest of Day One
After dinner we were going to head to AKL for extra magic hour. We had never been to AK after dark and we were anxious to get there but in the end..sleep won. If we had a bigger break we probably could have done it but since our room wasn't ready til 3 we only had about an hour or so to rest before dinner. So we decided to do some stuff in Epcot and then make it an early night. We got Fastpasses for Soarin' and MS earlier in the day so we headed over to MS first to give it a try. I was WAY too full from dinner (and still a little loopy) that I decided to try the Orange team for a change. We are usually "All Green All The Time" kind of people. Dave refused to go to the Orange team so we split up. It was a little weird!! I had never ridden a ride at WDW without him and I was a little lonely!
I rode the Orange team and I was actually impressed. To me the ride seemed like a lot more fun because I wasn't so worried about my face falling off. I actually got to look around at the cockpit and see what was going on. After we went to Mars we headed over to Soarin'. We rode it (together) and the decided to call it a night! We were going to hit SE on the way out but the line was 30 minutes..and this was pretty consistent throughout the week. The changes have made it really popular.


We did look around in Mexico after dinner. As you can tell in this picture the Glowtini is still working. Ole'.

Finally caught up with the trip report. It looks like you had a great time.
I love the photos of the beach. We always like to spend a few days on the coast when we go to Florida and Disney.
