I wear my Norwegian sunglasses at night...........lol..I loved these..we thought about buying them but didn't. They were something ridiculous like 18.00 and I NEVER would have worn them again.

I made him try this one. Dave loves Disney hats (except the groom ears but let's not go there) and perhaps if it wasn't 95 degrees out during our trip he might of bought it.

After some major stalling in World Showcase it was finally around 2:30 and we headed for OKW!
Instead of calling we just walked back to the Hospitality House and the same guy who checked us in was still there! I can't remember his name..Shawn maybe? I wish I could because he was fantastic. He remembered us right away and knew our name but needed a refresher spelling it (that's not weird..it's hard to spell) and then he checked us in right way and gave us our new keys. He also noticed Dave's birthday button and said "How come you didn't tell me!" I explained that we were just excited and forgot about it!
Then he asked our favorite characters and we were all set to go!

Our room was 2525 which was right near the Hospitality House and right behind the Pennisular Road bus stop. I will go into my thoughts on OKW in my next post.

1200 miles, 4 tanks of gas, 3 hotel rooms and way too much money spent on Disney merchandise and we are home and had an amazing trip. We started off by heading down to Cocoa Beach on Friday the 6th and we stayed until Monday the 9th. On Monday we made our way to Disney for a four night stay on rented points at OKW followed by a one night stay at Port Orleans Riverside using an e-mail pin number discount. Overall the trip was excellent with lots of down time and only one small dose of drama which I'll get into a bit later. This was our first trip to WDW in almost two years which was strange for us because we previously had been going down every four to six months. However, last year we bought a house and the money had to go to more grown-up things.
Originally the trip started out small as a four day trip to WDW and somehow turned into a nine day trip including a stop off at my parents on the way back. Let's just say when we got home tonight we were SO happy to finally be back! Anyways, on with the trip report!

Cocoa Beach
When Dave and I go to the beach we normally hit Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head like any good South Carolinian so we'd never been to Cocoa Beach and we were excited to get there! So excited that we actually left home before 6 a.m.! In order to get to I-95 we have to go straight through a Columbia which can get pretty crazy around 9 a.m. (we used to live and work there so we knew we could count on this) so we wanted to be through the Columbia area before 8 a.m. to avoid any delays. The drive was pretty uneventful actually. We arrived at Cocoa Beach around three in the afternoon.

Here's a picture from the trip down..as you can probably guess..we are VERY excited to finally be on vacation!
