When we walked into the Japan store Dave let out a little yelp. They had a mannequin dressed like a Ninja and apparently it startled him. I walked right past it and didn't even see it!

Well, the man crush is totally understandable!! Mr. Bale & Dave are both Hotties!! You two are a very cute couple!!

I wanted to tell you, I actually thought of you and the Dave the other day as we were ordering the bride/groom ears for my cousins upcoming honeymoon. I actuallt thought...."I wonder if Alex (my cousins fiance) will actually wear these? Dave hated them!" I bought them anyway!

Tangerine Cafe didn't disspoint! I always worry when I go there that maybe I've just built up how fantastic it is..but I don't! It's just THAT good. And always empty!

I like that story! Dave was a good sport about them though..he loves funny hats and has plenty from WDW but the Groom ears were too small for his head! That's why he hated them so much! So if he has a normal sized head maybe he will like them better!

The stick story is just a prime example of how it's a good thing Dave and I found each other because no one else would want us!
We also have an ongoing story about Rocco Mediate (the US Open golfer) going on at the moment!

Actually it was just one viking in particular. The rest were lovely lovely people. It's a long story (sort of) so I think I'll go ahead and just get on with it!

We raced out on to the highway and Explorer man followed us. (true again) We had to loose by using clever tactics of bobbing and weaving through traffic (true--we did loose him..but I don't think he was really following us.)
And that is why we left the stick

Bella vs. the Norwegian

After a break at our resort we headed back to Epcot for dinner at Akershaus.
Some of you may remember this story from my planning process but I'll just tell it again just in case. Usually when I plan our trips to Disney Dave and I sit down and discuss where we want to eat. Usually I present him a handful of places and he helps me pick a few. This time he wanted to pick one place on his on (meaning he went to Allears and looked at all the menu's..I didn't hand pick any for him) and we had a deal that I could not talk him out of it..which I am known to do!
Basically he picked Akershaus. He was not really aware that it was a Princess Dinner he just thought the food looked interesting. We had done a LOT of character meals in the past and we recently we had begun to feel like we had sort of "grown out" of them and we wouldn't go back til we had kids. That along with the fact that I had heard not such great things about the menu I was really not excited at all.
However, I made a promise to him and I intended to stick to it!

So we make it to Norway about 5 minutes before our ADR and I go to check in and the conversation goes as follows:
Hostess: I am sorry I don't see a reservation for you.
At this point she is already looking through me to the next guest. I am sure she sees a million morons a day but I assure you I was not one of them. I prepaid this with a credit card and I called and confirmed my ADR's twice.
Me: Could you check again perhaps she could have spelled my name incorrectly.
Hostess: Sure....nope nothing.
I am starting to get frustrated now.
Me: Well, I know we have an ADR.
Hostess: Yeah, well we don't have you down. You could try and come back at our next sitting even though I know we are completely booked.
Me: I pre-paid with a credit card and everything. I know if I don't show up to this my card will get charged and I do not want to get charged for this!
Hostess: That's weird.
Oh. No. She. Didn't.
THAT'S WEIRD?!?! I mean, I was really tempted to ask if the braid on top of her silly little head was too tight but instead I acted very maturely and said..
Whatever, I guess I'll figure this out on my own.
Is she kidding me? No help, no advice nothing. So I book it to Guest Relations. I knew there was one by Spaceship Earth so I literally ran there leaving Dave back in Mexico confused. All he wanted in life was to eat at Akershaus and we were going to do it even if I had to rip that braid off of her head.
So I make it to Guest Reations and I meet a wonderful CM named Carole (who will play a role in our TR later as well!). Her brain was apparently functioning and after I huffed and puffed and told her my story..very nicely I may add..I was aware this was not her fault. She simply asked for my phone number. I gave it to her and she said "Yep, you're in there! They just spelled your last name with a C instead of an S when you made the reservation. It's fixed now..go ahead and have a great dinner!

So..then I found Dave..still making his way down to GR and we turned around and booked it back to Norway because now we were late!

So I wait in line and finally see my friend the Norway Hostess once again. I am so elated by the fact that she was wrong and I wasn't I forgot that I hated her and I said..
"I'm back! They just spelled our name wrong, but it should be all fixed now!
Hostess: What's your name again?
Seriously, I was gone like 5 minutes. Now I am worried about Braid Girls cognitive abilities.
Me: S-I....
Hostess:Nope, sorry. Still not here.
She starts looking through me again.
Me:How about you just look it up through my phone number?
She does, reluctantly I might add, and finds it and her response was..
Hostess: Oh, well go stand over there and we'll call you when we are ready.

I am a nice person and completely laid back..and I have never ever gone off on anyone, but she was close. Instead I pulled out my best first grade teacher voice (a.k.a. my patronizing voice) and said..."Now don't you think this might have been a little bit easier if you'd just asked me that from the beginning? Then I smiled and walked away.

I am almost certain Braid Girl would have spit in my food if she had the opportunity.

This story reminds me of the PAINFUL encounter I had with the front desk at Sports, when he said "Sorry we don't have a reservation for you!" NEXT!

It was the first time ever I felt "slapped in the face" at Disney! I have NEVER encountered a CM like this before!
