I was close..if she had refused to look it up by my phone number I would have. Also, all my ADR's were made at the same time and I had NO trouble anywhere else. I noticed later in the week that the hostesses have the list of everyone coming in at certain times up there on the screen. I told her my ADR time and she could have very easily looked at the screen and saw my name. Even though it was spelled with a C is still sounded the same. None of the other hostesses had a problem.
I also understand that hostessing is not an easy job and she probably gets tons of people asking her obnoxious questions all day long however, she was rude with her responses and in this case it sort of backfired since I actually knew what I was talking about.
Luckily that little mishap did not ruin my opinion of Akershaus or our experience there which I'll have to tell you guys about tonight!

Me too! When I was "in the business world" before I went back to Grad School my bosses always insisted that I yell at vendors etc..they said it made them do there jobs and I HATED it and it never got anything accomplished. Once I started being nice to them they actually started delivering things on time etc..it's eventually why I did leave though because even though I was nice to people..it seemed like people were always yelling! I hated it!

First: I have learned a lot about how not to treat guests based on the trip reports I have read here. I am so glad that Guest Relations was able to fix everything for you.

second: I am so glad you enjoyed OKW so much. I knew you would like it. I loved doing my college program there. The people are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful. It is so relaxing!! As a cast member OKW feels like my "home resort."

Love that you loved OKW...I love that place and love even more that you had a good experience with the transportation...mine wasn't all that bad there,but I used that home bus stop at the front too.

Braid lady - she...GRRRR all I want to say. I will never go back to that place again. I had an issue where they said I didn't prepay and I had to pay twice...they were rude and I whispered naughty words in the womans direction so only she could hear it..lol

Most of our mornings were spent at the beach and our afternoons at the pool (and the pool bar!).

Sometimes those are the best vacation days, when you can just chill at a relaxing beautiful place & literally watch the world go by. 'Wingin' it' is fun too, discovering things to do and interesting restaurants! I'm glad you found amazing crab cakes!
