Bella's "Let's Have Another Cocktail!" Trip Report!

I was going to wait and start this one tomorrow but I am a little less sleepy than I thought I'd be tonight so I figured...why the heck not? I am excited to write it!
The pictures are loading onto photobucket so it may take a few minutes to get the ball rolling...but gather 'round kiddos because here I go!

So here we go!

1200 miles, 4 tanks of gas, 3 hotel rooms and way too much money spent on Disney merchandise and we are home and had an amazing trip. We started off by heading down to Cocoa Beach on Friday the 6th and we stayed until Monday the 9th. On Monday we made our way to Disney for a four night stay on rented points at OKW followed by a one night stay at Port Orleans Riverside using an e-mail pin number discount. Overall the trip was excellent with lots of down time and only one small dose of drama which I'll get into a bit later. This was our first trip to WDW in almost two years which was strange for us because we previously had been going down every four to six months. However, last year we bought a house and the money had to go to more grown-up things.
Originally the trip started out small as a four day trip to WDW and somehow turned into a nine day trip including a stop off at my parents on the way back. Let's just say when we got home tonight we were SO happy to finally be back! Anyways, on with the trip report!

Cocoa Beach
When Dave and I go to the beach we normally hit Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head like any good South Carolinian so we'd never been to Cocoa Beach and we were excited to get there! So excited that we actually left home before 6 a.m.! In order to get to I-95 we have to go straight through a Columbia which can get pretty crazy around 9 a.m. (we used to live and work there so we knew we could count on this) so we wanted to be through the Columbia area before 8 a.m. to avoid any delays. The drive was pretty uneventful actually. We arrived at Cocoa Beach around three in the afternoon.

Here's a picture from the trip down..as you can probably guess..we are VERY excited to finally be on vacation!

Haha I am working on it!
I just loaded a bunch and then realized I sized them way to small..I am too lazy to edit every single one so I am just re-downloading them!
It sucks but Photobucket is so much easier than using paint to resize every single image!

Thanks! I actually got it cut like two weeks ago!! It's cute sometimes but when it's humid and hot my hair gets frizzy and there was no cute way to put that short hair in a ponytail..you'll see evidence of this trust me! By day five my hair was looking nappy but I didn't care anymore!

(That avatar picture is OLD too! I think it was about three years ago!!)

Cocoa Beach
So we arrived in Cocoa and we found our hotel very easily. I booked online at hotels.com several months ago so I got a very good discount. The hotel was a Comfort Inn and was second row ocean for $70.00 a night. Honestly, I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst!!
We were pleasantly surprised however! The room was probably about as big as a Disney value room but had nice touches like the moderates. Basically this means the bedspread was not loud and obnoxious and the furniture wasn't teal.

Here's the room:

I also feared that second row ocean might be a little bit of a stretch but it wasn't! The hotel faced the main drag in Cocoa called Atlantic Hwy but the back of the hotel faced towards water. Our room was actually towards the back of the hotel as well so we had to cross a street to get to the ocean but the entrance was right there. Also the street we had to cross was practically deserted. Cocoa Beach has a pier which gets pretty popular but we were about a mile away from that so our area of the beach was very quiet and peaceful. We were also within walking distance of a lot of shops and restaurants including Ron Jon Surf Shop. Overall we were really pleased with this resort.
