So I am just going to throw everything into those big industrial sized washers.Emma is alright, I was going to call her groomer today too because her beard and snout still slighty stink and maybe the groomer will know how to kick that final bit of skunk outta' her. My Dad suggested we put a line of baby powder down her back to brand her as a skunk 'cause she still stinks. My poor baby girl. PS: this is the doggy, Emma, that landed on the wrong end of a scared skunk:

My comments Love the hair Jess ... and I always love your clothes ( I pmed you remember we have similar tastes lol ) OH MY gosh I would have cried and cried and Richard would have been the one dealing with the Skunk mess ... I am so sorry you didnt get to use the shirt ... OH my gosh I just want to go to DL to get Sprinkle cupcakes ... I went on to the website and supposedly they have one coming to Miami but well thats way too much of a hike for me to get to now that I live in PSL ...

Did I miss anything when I was gone, did Ed have any good prospects come up? How is he feeling? I can only imagine you leaning over the tub ready to give birth & scrubbing a skunky dog in the bathtub. Why do skunks choose the worst times POSSIBLE?!?! ![]()

Don't get too excited about Sprinkles going anywhere else in the country anytime soon. Those "coming soon" cities have been on there for over a year with no additional information. I think it's a total tease. Unless you have a rental car in Disneyland they can be expensive & hard to get b/c the closest store to Anaheim is Newport Beach & they charge $40. to deliver. Not to mention one dozen cupcakes is $40. Anyone wanting to try them is just better off picking them up yourself while visiting other sights in SoCal, we used to pick them up at the Beverly Hills store when we had a rental car in the area. So worth it though. And thank you about the hair and clothes! ![]()

Wow what a start. Can't wait to read some more.
If anyone in the Cincinnati area wants a good cupcake place there is a lady nearby that makes awesome cupcakes. Just search for Harmony Cupcakes in Libert Township. Like the cupcakes Wish is talking about they are a little expensive. But so worth it.

Re: Wishy*s "Anyone smell a skunk?" Disneyland Dreams trip report!
I sat down this morning to see what was going on in Mousebuzz and came across your TR. OMG...the start of your trip will be one you NEVER EVER forget...this will be one of those stories you can enjoy (now that it's over) telling over and over again, the best part will be when you have children and you tell them the story and you then over hear them retelling it to someone - "My mom and dad went to DL this one time and they got sprayed by a SKUNK!" You know kids they tell and retell the darnest stories - it will be great.
Sorry you had to leave your Birthday/Anniversary shirt behind...that's a bummer. Sounds like you an Daniel are a great team...you were able to pull everything together, get ready, repack and make it to the airport on time. Adrenaline, it's a funny thing and always there when you need it. I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Re: Wishy*s "Anyone smell a skunk?" Disneyland Dreams trip report!
CONT... SATURDAY, JUNE 21st:
We walked through the gates of California Adventure about 11:45 am and were STARVING. I knew exactly where I wanted to head for lunch.... BOUDIN BAKERY!!! I absolutely LOVE their broccoli cheese soup in a sourdough bread bowl & Daniel always enjoys the apple salad in a bread bowl too. Sure enough the food didn't dissapoint, that soup is just DELISH & it's the BEST sourdough bread EVER! Weird occurance #2: As we were sitting eating lunch there were two ladies a couple tables over and it was COMPLETELY obvious they were staring & talking. Daniel even SWORE at one point the woman tried to take a photo of us. At first I was like "Do I know this person, is it someone from Mousebuzz?" "Do I have a big pile of bird poop on the back of my head?" I was a little confused, but ignored the staring/talking and we were on our way. (Don't worry, this woman WILL reappear & explain the situation stay tuned)After lunch we headed over to California Screamin' & noticed, even at 12:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday, there was hardly ANY line, so we got right on! Loved it as usual! We walked past Midway Mania but it was down at the moment & I was SO anxious to get on this ride! Even though they annouced the ride was down a lot of people were still standing around in the line, knowing we still had 4 days ahead we decided to move on... yup, a swinging cart on the SunWheel! Daniel was freaked out on it as usual, and I absolutely it! We shared the cart with another young couple who'd never been on it before so it was fun watching their first-time panic when that thing swung high above the water! Right as we exited the Sun Wheel we noticed movement over by Midway Mania and hurried over! YES! It was working again, we jumped into line, & only waited about 25 minutes. This was EXTREMELY lucky timing b/c when we walked past it the rest of the trip the wait was never under 60 minutes. After a couple minutes in line Daniel noticed that the 'staring ladies' from lunch were DIRECTLY behind us. I turned around to take a gander when one of the ladies said, "Oh, Hi, I'm sorry I am a free lance photographer and do work for National Geographic. I've been working on this piece about body art and wanted to take a photo of your back, may I?" I was a little , but said "Sure" and so... she took a picture of my back with her big lens fancy-nancy camera. I really hope National Geographic comes equipped with some sort of Photoshop program because I am pretty sure her huge lenses must have picked up the nasty strech marks I have near the back of my armpits & the scar at the top of my back. I should also mention that I VERY rarely wear tank tops or show my back in any Disney parks. Maybe it's just a personal self-conscious issue but mostly because I feel VERY strange hearing people talk about it directly behind me in lines, etc. & because it's a HUGE Disney tribute it usually garners more talk & attention in well... WDW or Disneyland. Nobody ever looks twice back home, it's just in Disney parks. I usually avoid it all together but it was SERIOUSLY near 100 degrees in the shade on this day and I just couldn't help it. I did receive about 10 comments & questions, and 2 photo requests. Later that evening a cool Mexican rockabilly guy who was in line with his girlfriend for the Storybook Land Canal Boats asked to take a picture too. So after that I was like "OK, forget this... this is embarrassing." SO, we finally get on Midway Mania and we both LOVED IT! It's just SO much fun! The ride itself is very smooth & swift moving, the games are fun & VERY accurate, the little pull guns are so much fun because you can shoot them as much as you want & it doesn't stop to reload or have any lag time like Buzz can. Everything was just awesome about this ride! I can't wait to ride the one in WDW to see the differences. We spent the next couple hours going on ToT, Monsters Inc. ride, the Muppets, and I SOAKED myself completely in Flik's Fun Fair before returning to the room because it was LITERALLY unbelievably HOT! We returned to our room to rest & freshen up for dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, going to Disneyland park for the evening, & planned on watching the "Remember Dreams Come True" fireworks. Stay tuned because dinner at Goofy's Kitchen ended up being ANYTHING but expected & a lovely surprise during the best fireworks show EVER! ![]()

Here are some photos from our Day 1 afternoon:
Daniel enjoying his apple, raisin, walnut salad at Boudin: ![]() Midway Mania with California Screamin' in the background! ![]() ![]() Mr. Potato Head entertained us while in line: ![]() This is where you pick up your official "Game Glasses": ![]() Loading area, notice everything is outside unlike the photos I've seen of the WDW version: ![]() Alright, alright, Daniel beat me... but whatever. The second time we went on I did WAY better! ![]() ![]() I think it was Disneyteacher that described the ride movement as "whippy" and I totally agree. It definately can only be described as whippy, but it was VERY smooth movement too. ![]() How sweet is this? You pass it by when you exit the attraction. ![]() ![]()
