Back from 8 days at WDW!!

Hey guys, I'm back!! I will post a full trip report soon, but tonight, I'm pooped!!

The first night at the Wilderness Lodge Villas, hubby had just locked up the van and was coming up to the room for the first time (around 9:30 pm) and fell down off two steps and broke his right arm! We spent the first 7 hours of our trip at Celebration Hospital and Walgreens getting pain medicine!

We did not have one drop of rain the whole trip, and the lines were nearly non existant the entire week!! We couldn't have asked for any better!!

But, driving back in to town tonight, my hubby got a call that his terminally ill mother took a turn for the worse, so I dropped him off at her house on the way home. Although we didn't have a great start or end to our vacation, it was wonderful while we were there.

I'll write more soon!! Time to start planning our March of 2004 trip, only 9 months away!! Yeah!

I don't really know why, but the postcard I sent to Mickey from EPCoT was returned to me, so I thought I'd attach the link here to share with you all. Hubby wasn't in the picture, because those cameras at Epcot are really awkward to try and get 4 people in front of (including the bouncing toddler!) and push the button at the same time! Later that day, we found better cameras at Innoventions, next time, we'll use those!! Anyway, here is the link...:

oh my goodness thats so awful about your DH :( but I have heard celebrations hospital is wonderful. and and BDavis932, I am so sorry to hear about your mother in law :(
but welcome home .. can not wait to hear all about your trip ..but it will be understandable if you dont get to post much.

Welcome back B.... I'm sorry that so much good was sandwiched between bad, but hopefully the middle will always stand out. Your picture really made me wish I had found that kiosk...Next time for sure... You have been missed around here!:D

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I hope your DH is feeling better. Also your mother in law is in my prayers and thoughts.
I hope that other then the accident and the unfortunate news at the end that you and your family had a great time.

I am so sorry about your mother-in-law. I hope your DH is feeling better and the broken arm didn't slow him down too much. I can't wait to hear about all the fun you guys had.

Welcome back BDAvis! Sorry to hear about your DH broken arm, that is a bummer. Sounds like it did not slow you down any. Hopefully he got Mickey and friends to sign it :)

I just got the call from DH that his mother past away this morning..:cry: I am so glad we got back yesterday so that he could spend the night with her. We know that she is out of pain now and is in a better place.....

Hubby's arm will take about 3 more weeks to heal, but he broke it in a way that it couldn't be casted. He has to keep it in a sling and 3 times a day "exercise it". It was the radius bone by his elbow and if it was casted it would "freeze" in that position forever....so he is being very careful with it. He didn't do a couple of the big rides that he usually does. We had waited until this trip to do the Rockin Roller Coaster with DS (who was finally tall enough this trip.) Well, he missed out on that one and Space Mountain, but he did all the others....

It will be a few days until I can post my report....thanks for all the prayers guys, it's great to know y'all care.....

I am so sorry about your mother-in-law... It sounds like you guys made it home just in time. I am happy that your hubby was able to spend some time with her.

a huge (((((( cyber hug )))))) not much I know in the way of any comfort but you already know you have just about everyone at DC thinking of you and for goodess sakes we sure can wait on the trip report .. DH needs you lots more then we do right now ... wish austin was a tad closer I would be glad to offer some kind of real help :( and not just words

I am so sorry about your MIL. I am glad your DH made it home to spend a few hours with his mother before she pass away, that has to mean a lot to him. Your family is in my prayers.

WOW!!! Hope DH's arm is better soon & I hope he's not in too much pain. I'm sorry to hear about your MIL, but from experience you're right...my dad was terminally ill for quite some time before he passed & I know he's so much better off now. Having said that, I know you guys are in a lot of pain so you're who I'm praying for now.
