Live trip report!!!
Well, I brought my laptop with me to WDW and I am typing this from our room at the All Star Movies resort. We had a great first day. It rained for quite awhile, but as soon as we got to the parks it stopped and didnt pick back up for the rest of the day or evening. I was discouraged when we landed and there was rain hitting the windows of the plane. It rained the whole ride of the shuttle from the airport. It rained while we checked it, which they had a room ready even though it was only 2pm and not the normal 4pm check in, so we got in our room early. It rained as we walked all the way to our room lugging our luggage. We got ready and put things away and as soon as we got off the bus at Animal Kingdom the rain stopped and did not pick up. I hope Saturday we are as lucky.
Here are some photos I put up from today. http://www.snowmedia.com/disney I will update more as we go.

Well I have added day 2 to the site. The weather was much better but the crowds were overwhelming. But with some smart positioning we didnt wait much and had a great time. I hope you enjoy day 2 photos.

Excellent report/photos. Can you see me salivating? I have 2 questions, Brad.
1.Was AK as crowded as Epcot? 2. If you're posting at 1a.m. and you're getting to the parks as they open and staying until they close, are you sleeping at all other than your afternoon nap? Have a great last 2 days, and don't forget your driver's license on the way home, Kim.:p :)

Thanks for all of the updates Brad and Kim. Oh Kim, my heart went out to you when I read about your purse. I keep having nightmares about our trip, that I'm going to forget something. I guess as long as I don't forget tickets and reservation information (purse) we can always purchase anything else. I felt so sorry for you when I read that. Of course then, I saw you at the parks and everything was going great for you. So glad it worked out.
Please keep us updated on things, this is great, especially since we leave to head that way in 5 days now :D Enjoy your vacation, Paula

For those of you wondering, Dreamchasers is the new interactive ride sponsered by GM that is the exit area of Test Track. You sit in the "C" shaped chairs and watch a three minute video of the future of GM. From all reports, the movie is extremely poorly done and a complete waste of time. If the line is short, take advantage, but if it is longer than ten minutes or so, don't waste your time.
Also, from Brad's photos, it appears that the wait area for Test Track has reopened with additional exhibits. By the way, consider taking the singles line at Test Track if you don't mind splitting up. You are taken almost directly on the ride, and you fill the empty seats left open by parties not fitting perfectly in the cars. You are not guaranteed to ride with anyone else in line, so don't go with kids you wouldn't want to ride by themselves. |

Well just got through uploading Day 3 to the site. It was another great day. I will post Day 4 tomorrow night, but it will only be a couple of hours worth since we have to leave before noon to catch our flight home to Oklahoma. Hope you like the new pics.

Thanks for sharing what I call Brad & Kim's Excellent Adventure :D You captured some awesome sites and it was delightful to review all of the pictures. Gosh! I sure wish that I was on my way to WDW!
Your story about Kim's license was scary! I can see how someone who is not used to flying wouldn't think it was necessary to carry important personal items (and avoid the chance of losing them; smart thinking!) On the other hand, it is so routine to many people to always have id with them that one might not think to remind another about carrying it. Missing the flight sure would have dampened one's good spirits. I was so happy to hear that the prospect was avoided. BTW, your Mom really is a treasure! I am eagerly awaiting Day 4. Thanks again for the entertainment, Brad and Kim! |
