They weren't nervous or jittery at all. I kept walking past them then decided to back-track and snap a photo. They were SUPER cute, but I don't think the pic did them justice; they get lost in the reddish plant behind them.

I turned into a bird-nerd sometime over the summer--you should have seen me geek out in AK!

Lovin' the TR so far! Sunshines is one of, if not the best CS on property! (IMHO)

geek out... I love it.
My grandma is a bird-nerd as well. Some of her ornithological affinity has rubbed off on me, so I hope you took some pix at AK!

She avoided all the thrill rides as well, coasters of all sizes, Test Track... I did most of those with pops, but even he, the thrill seeker, drew some lines in the sand now and then (said NO to Space Mountain and ToT. Good for him!)

Be careful on It's a Small World! My mom really wanted to do it, but the loading and release area of the ride is really really bumpy. ALMOST as bad as Safari. She was okay, but it was still scary. I would ask a CM if they've fixed that before you take your mom on it and risk ruining her back.

I know how it is to want your parents to get on all the rides with you, but if her back problems are legit, don't push it, cause a painful back makes an unhappy mommy.

...wait, you're older than me, right? And your mom is 50? I'm so confused.
I'm 28..my mom is 50. I think she had me at 22...I think..lol

I'm 24, my mom got married at 22ish, and had me at 36ish. I keep forgetting this stuff. I hope they enjoyed those 13 magical years of traveling the world and being childless!

Re: Screever's '4 parks one world christmas extravaganza'

Er, I haven't forgotten this. Family crisis is just sucking all my leisure computer time. Yay, crisis. No holiday is complete without one.

And sorry Happy Camper; I don't have too many more bird pics. They're hard fellows to catch, and my camera can only hold about 140 pics total. I almost exceeded my limit by day the second day, so I had to cut alot of em out. But does this mean you're a bird lover too??

Re: Screever's '4 parks one world christmas extravaganza'

Okay...update was a long time comin...

After Universe of Energy, we headed for Soarin to use our fastpasses. I'm not ashamed in admitting I teared-up about halfway through. I didn't know when I was going to ride Soarin next, because I don't know when I'll go back to WDW next. So it was a little emotional. Bite me.

Next was lunch in Seasons. Mmmm. Such delicious food.

Then we decided to do Livin with the Land. The wait was only 20 minutes (more like ten!) and it had been a long time for all of us. (Mom and me: 6 years ago, dad: 15+ years!!) I think we all enjoyed it, and we liked taking that step back in time. I do miss that song though...listen to the laaaaand listen to the land!

Beautiful mural...

We also decided to do Figment...had been a long time for mom and dad (see above; I had done it in May with a friend.) Despite the changes my dad never saw and my mom had forgotten, I think they both liked it.

He's a hard one to photograph. He looks like he's breakin it down.

At the backwards waterfall.

Wow, this guy really knew how to take an interesting picture! Would've made a good Christmas card image.

We hopped on the Mexico ride, cause I'm such a sucker. Poor Donald!

We watched the small holiday show at Mexico too, but it wasn't very good. I dunno, it just didn't enthrall me. We lingered to watch the mariachi band, too! :heeart:

I asked the working character CM where Panchito and Jose went to...and she said they went home!! Now I'll never see them. SAD DAY.

We grabbed FPs for Maelstrom and headed into China. Mom really wanted to see "Reflections of", and I can't remember the last time we all did it.She had her crying moment too; I think its her favorite thing in Epcot.

I'd go to China just to see the nature, too.
