Hey thanks! Weather was ok, no more rain storms. It was really cold one night but otherwise we just wore jeans and t shirts and even sweatshirts most days!

Re: Nokey's 9 Days of Christmas Cheer in WDW!

Day 3:

We (the adults) were excited about going to Epcot this morning! We all love this park and look forward to it the most! We did Mission Space and Test Track headed over to get fast passes for Soarin’ (which were not until 5pm), headed over to Club Cool and decided to catch a quick bite at Cantina de San Angel. I was SOOOO disappointed! They no longer carried the Taco salad with the ground beef! It is one of my favorites! Oh well! Justin enjoyed the black beans in my salad, can you tell?!?!?!?!

We toured the countries and grabbed a drink here and there, but at 5:15 we had reservations for Teppen Edo and our Candelite Dinner package with an 8:15 seating! We waited so long to be called for our reservations (again!) but when we finally were seated it was such a good meal!

They were so accommodating. I asked if they could microwave food for me to give to Justin, and they were more than happy to help out! Ohana’s said they could not help! I understood, but I will say feeding him was a lot harder than I expected! Sidenote…I found that Disney is very poorly prepared for babies! To some this may sound strange, but I found it ridiculous that each park only had one Baby Care station and usually it was in the beginning of the park. Not very helpful when is is needed and you are at the complete opposite side of where you need to be! For instance, our mistake was giving Justin those black beans at lunch. He went through 9 diapers by 5:30 pm that day, and when I went to change him into his jammies at Teppan Edo I realized we had used our last diaper, I had to run all the way back to the Baby Care Center in Future world and buy a package of diapers. We had to send Bryan and Emily to ride Soarin’ and we missed out on our fast passes. Then we had to literally RUNNNNNN back to the American Pavilion to make it for our Candlelight Processional Seating, we barely made it by the skin of our teeth. I will say this: it was spectacular!!!! So worth the run!!!!!!!!!! Doogie Howser was our narrator!!!

We stayed for Illuminations and oh my goodness, what a finale!!!! The night’s events kept topping one another! We headed home and crashed! But it doesn’t end there…

Re: Nokey's 9 Days of Christmas Cheer in WDW!

Day 4:

Around 3 am, Kailey woke crying and said her ears hurt. She was in so much pain she could not even sleep. I did everything I could to try and ease the pain, and when morning finally broke I called my insurance company and inquired about the closest participating walk in! We headed there and luckily we got there first thing! We were seen very quickly and I had Ashley seen as well, just incase, she was fine, but Kailey had an ear infection that was most likely amplified due to the plane ride. We were given a prescription and headed on our way.

Chris is a pharmacist with CVS and could not believe he was going to be headed into a CVS while on vacation but you gotta do what’cha gotta do!!! When he walked into CVS to fill the script, Kailey got sick all over the car!!! Oh no!!!!!!!!!! He came back in the car and we cleaned her up and gave her the meds but she couldn’t keep them down. We headed back to the hotel and we knew we were staying put all day!

This was the day we were to go to the Very Merry Christmas Party. Right before we had reservations to have the girls given the royal treatment at Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique (minus the costumes, I picked up new ones right after Halloween here at home). Anyways I picked up the phone and began calling to see what we could reschedule. Recreation changed the Bibbidy Bobbidy reservations without charging us due to the fact that she was sick, and they even allowed us to cancel our grand pirate adventure for early the next morning without penalty. We were unable to get another reservation so we will have to put that on our list of to do’s for next trip! We were not able to cancel our tickets for the Christmas party and go on another night so we decided to rest all day and see how we would make it that night.

We had reservation at the Turf club Bar and Grill that night, and we decided to go, Kailey had not been sick for about 2 hours so we attempted it! She did not want to eat, but we were able to get a Ginger ale down her. We ate and decided to head to the party. We made her sit in the stroller, I bought this wonderful blanket (it was so extremely cold) and we put the rain guard on and Kailey slept the night away. We were so disappointed since she would have been in her glory, but we did not want to waste the money we did spend or have Bryan and Emily waste theirs. The party was fun, and the castle was beautiful, actually breathtaking but we decided to call it an early night and we left after Wishes!!! Main Street was beautiful; I could not stop taking pictures. I loved the lanterns all decorated and splendid! I wished we could have enjoyed the night more! Oh well, home we headed and we prayed we would be all better for the next day?!?!?!?!

Re: Nokey's 9 Days of Christmas Cheer in WDW!

Day 5:

My brother in law called us around 7:30 and asked what we had medicine-wise to help Emily, she was sick all night long. After looking in my traveling pharmacy (he too, is a CVS Pharmacist) he returned back to the room to see if anything would help. Emily was unable to get out of bed, so they stayed in the room. We decided that since they were really looking forward to Animal Kingdom we would put it off until Thursday.

Chris and I took the kids (all feeling better) to Hollywood Studios again. We prayed that we could get on Toy Story this time! NO LUCK!!!!!!!!! Fast passes were again gone and the wait was outrageous! Oh well, we watched the High School Musical show and then grabbed some lunch at the ABC Commissary. Then we headed to the baby care center (again back at the beginning of the park) to feed Justin! It made absolutely no sense to me as to why they could not just pop a microwave in there, but oh well!!!

As I was finishing feeding Justin, Bryan called and said he an Emily were going to attempt to meet us. They took a bus over and we sat and watched the block Party Bash parade! What a great parade! We walked over to RNRR to attempt that again, but when Bryan and Chris were finished, I could tell Emily was not well so I said I would skip it this time around! We began to head over to Indiana Jones and Emily and Bryan said they were going to head back to the hotel, she was not feeling that well that she should attempt to stay! We felt so terrible! We were sure it was something she caught from Kailey, but she insisted it was no big deal! We said we would call and see how they were before we headed over to AK for our Yak and Yeti reservations.

Bryan said she would join us, but Emily was going to skip dinner and rest up for the next day! We went to dinner, Bryan (who is in such great shape, we have no idea where he stores the mass quantities he consumes) explained the situation and how they were leaving on Friday morning but had extra table service credits and could he use one to order appetizers for the table! The waiter was terrific, he said he would make it work. Normally this would not have been an issue, we had already eaten enough to cover our meal plan price, but they were going to have two table service credits left after this still because the night they went to ESPN they did not use the meal plan. Anyways, the waiter worked it out and we got a couple of appetizers for the table and we were just charged an extra table service! The food was delicious!

After dinner the guys wanted to see about riding Everest. Since Emily isn’t a roller coaster rider and I wouldn’t even give Everest a second thought, this was the perfect time. Well, there was only a 5 minute wait and they loved it, I met them in the gift shop and told them to go and ride a couple more times, me and the kids were having a good time just taking in all of the Yeti merchandise! Anyways, they rode it a couple more times and we decided to head back and check on Em! I will say, I have never really gotten to experience AK at night! Usually we go when the daylight is longer so this was a new experience. The Tree of Life was beautiful and the Christmas tree was a wonderful site! Definitely wish you could all check it out!

Day 5 pictures

Sidenote: this picture was taken as we entered the park. So far, all week we had been getting pretty crummy parking spots (usually in one of the last lots) so when we drove over to AK for dinner we were sure we were going to be in a spot practically at our resort, but to our amazement we got a spot so close we were in the first row after the cm's parking. We couldn't believe it! We had to take a picture to show Emily she was our jinx!!! The next day, we were back to the parking spots all the way in the back!!! Too funny! (sometimes, I guess you have to be there, huh? Sorry for the rant!)

Re: Nokey's 9 Days of Christmas Cheer in WDW!

Day 6:
We woke early and Emily was feeling a bit better, thank goodness! This was the day we had rescheduled the girls to go to Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique (this time we were going to the one in Downtown Disney). We were the first appointment of the day and the girls were so excited! They had their dresses on. Bryan and Emily had wanted to surprise them with this, and when they said the night before what they were going to be doing the girls could focus on little else. They actually sat in their chairs in complete and utter shock, I am convinced. We did everything we could to get them to show their excitement, but they were just so taken aback by what was happening it was astonishing!

After the girls were all done up, we headed to Animal Kingdom after catching a counter service breakfast at the resort! We went directly over to get a fast pass for the safari! In the meantime we walked along the Discovery Island Trails. After we went and watched the monkey’s swinging in the trees (this is one of my favorite things to do at AK. I love the monkeys! It was almost 11 so Bryan ran over and ordered us all a “Miami Vice” (these were terrific, we had had one two days ago when the bartender at Saratoga’s Lounge recommended them for the guys to take back to the room to us!) Emily figured, why not make the best of this last day, but after one drink she opted to spend the rest of the day sober. We explored the park and did everything we felt was a must. We watched the Jingle Jungle parade and saw the Festival of the Lion King! In my opinion, you cannot leave Disney without seeing it! We rode Dinosaur (my favorite ride in all of the parks, actually I think it ties with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!). We visited some of the characters in Camp Minnie Mickey and then decided to leave so we could make it over to Tutto Italia for our reservations.

The CM’s must be trained to curtsy to all of the children dresses as princesses, the girls were in their glory all day long they were called “your majesty” or “princess”. It was so adorable!

We drove over to Boardwalk and valet parked, love this DVC perk! We walked over to the Italian Pavilion and we were seated right away. The restaurant was beautiful, and the wait staff was terrific, but I will be honest, the food was not that great! The pasta was really dry and bland. Maybe we are just used to our own style of Italian cooking but we all agreed that it was not that great, however it was not the worst food we had ever had either so no harm no foul! Bryan and Emily were leaving in the am and they were going to have two table service credits remaining so they figured they would pay for our meal and then Chris and I would only have to pay for the kids! This worked out for us, we decided that we would end up taking the kids to the hoop-de-doo review! We also had an extra table service night remaining as well since on day two we ate at Earl of Sandwich for dinner. So we booked a breakfast at Kona Café, which we were planning to do anyways, since I crave the pineapple-macadamia nut pancakes!

We left the restaurant and headed to take Bryan and Emily’s final stroll around the remaining countries. We had a couple of drinks, couldn’t pass up that Grand Marnier slush, and then we headed back to the boardwalk. We were all so exhausted; it had been a rough couple of days with everyone’s health. Bryan and Emily packed up their stuff and we put the kids to bed, and hung out for a while all together. They said they had such a good time, we were glad, it is always hard to bring two people who don’t have children and have them be limited by your children’s ability to forge forward, but they were terrific. Chris and his two brothers are so close. Chris and I have been together since we were 17 (16 years in 2009) that his brothers are like my own, we spend so much time hanging out with one another; we truly are the best of friends! So this was fun and very comfortable!!!

They insisted on taking Magic express back to the airport (even though Chris planned on taking them). They had to leave so early so we packed it in for the night!

Tomorrow we begin our final four days with just our family!

Re: Nokey's 9 Days of Christmas Cheer in WDW!

Day 7:

We woke up and said our goodbyes to Bryan and Emily and headed over to the Magic Kingdom, we grabbed a quick breakfast at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and headed off to accomplish some of the girls favorite things before we trekked over to the Grand Floridian for their Wonderland Tea Party ‘date’ at 1:30. Chris and I were looking forward to sharing a quieter lunch, we were only going to have Justin so we figured why not head over to the Gasparilla’s Grill and Games for a bite. The view was terrific. We ate and overlooked the castle in the distance! We went back and picked up the girls, oh my, what a great time they had. They have told the whole family about it! They loved the Mad Hatter and Alice! If you have little girls and want to do something special for them while you’re there, definitely do it, they will love and remember it forever!!!

While at Lunch Chris and I discussed the remainder of the day and decided that since Kailey was back to feeling like herself we were going to bite the bullet and get tickets to the Very Merry Christmas Party again for that night! We went back to the resort and had the kids rest so we could enjoy the night! The party started at 7 but we headed over for 6 or so. We rode a couple of rides and then went into Toon-Town since Kailey wanted to so badly to take me on Goofy’s Barnstormer! While we prepared for this trip we tried to get Kailey to understand this would be a fun ride, she was apprehensive last trip, but she tends to be my daredevil. She had gone earlier with her dad, and loved it, but so badly wanted to go with me! I couldn’t believe it when I rode it, I closed my eyes but she was ready to go! What a moment! I loved every minute of it! I videotaped us on it, so there are no pictures!

The girls wanted to go into Minnie’s house and as they entered with their dad (I was giving Justin a bottle), I saw Minnie walking into her Gazebo. The girls were so excited they got her autograph and took a picture. We then went into Mickey’s house and did the same as a family! What a terrific beginning to the night! We then went into the Judges tent and grabbed a photo op with Tink and her friends! Luckily Silvermist was there, she’s Ashley’s favorite! We headed over to Frontierland and found terrific seats for the parade in front of Pecos Bills (I finally got my Taco salad, it was so good!) and the girls watched in awe!

Justin began getting tired and finally fell asleep not too long afterwards. We walked over to Pirates of the Caribbean and Ashley refused to ride, so Chris took Kailey on while Ashley and sleeping Justin and I waited in line to meet Wendy and Peter Pan! Such a cute picture! Soon after Ashley got tired and began to nod off as well! We walked over and found a spot to watch Wishes. I stole a few pictures of some special Chris and Kailey moments! Justin and Ashley were so exhausted that not even the booms of the fireworks startled them.

When Wishes was over they were able to catch Story Time with Belle. I stayed with the kids and took some beautiful pictures of the castle, and my sleeping angels!!! Kailey was still holding strong and we were waiting for her to drop, but she wanted to go one the Teacups one more time! We headed over that way and ran right into the Queen of Hearts! Kailey was so excited. Last Halloween she wanted so badly to be the Queen of Hearts and I did everything I could to find it, but I am no seamstress, so we settled on a different costume. This year, we were in TJ Maxx and happened upon the Queen of Hearts Costume and it was just the perfect size for her. So when she saw her, she ran right up and told her all about it! If we thought she was on her last leg, this certainly gave her a second wind! We figured now was the best time to make our exit, so we wouldn’t have to carry her out. We headed down Main Street and Kailey and I took one last photo in front of the Castle with a Photopass Photographer. And got on the monorail to head home to the resort! She fell asleep as soon as we put her in the car!

The way she enjoyed this party was worth every single penny of the money we spent! This trip was turning itself around! We were on the up swing!!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!
