Okay, that's all for now. I'll post our Christmas day soon. Not sure if y'all would like to read about our adventures in St Augustine and see some photos from our two days that we spent up there (5 of us that drove went to St A and the rest of the gang flew home).

I just started reading this report. What great pics!! I "clipped" your gingerbread house from the Polynesian...the tiki one with the gingerbread man holding a bottle of jack daniels..it's to funny. Hope you don't mind. I can't wait to read the rest, so don't keep me waiting..lol

Thursday—Christmas Day:

We met up and exchanged a few gifts in our rooms and then we were off to Epcot! After we made our way back to world showcase we split up for lunch. Trailblazer and DGD #1 went to England for fish and chips. BDavis family went the Yakatori house in Japan and got Udon Noodles with shrimp to go and then her DH to Germany and got brats and sauerkraut to go and they met up and all ate in America (where the Davis kids wanted to eat!). The rest of A Goofy Family ate in China. Those that finished early went to France to watch the movie and then we all met up to go tour the EPCoT resorts to see all the Christmas decorations. As we walked to the Beach Club it was getting a bit dark and cloud cover was moving in. We made it inside and within a couple minutes the rain poured down! Luckily it only rained long enough for us to check out the Beach Club, by the time we were done the rain stopped! So next was the Yacht Club. I would LOVE to stay there someday. DVC needs to build Yacht Club Villas, lol. It is such a gorgeous resort!!! Then we completed our tour with the Boardwalk and even popped in the DVC model for a few minutes to check it out. As much as I liked the one bedroom set up, I don’t know that I would ever use double-the-points to ever stay in one. Did I mention that at all 3 resorts they were handing out sugar cookies and lemonade (Yah, like we needed any more to eat, lol!) Everyone seemed so friendly (I don’t think I’d be that happy to be working on Christmas Day, lol!). So we headed back over to EPCoT and saw some more of the Holiday storytellers. A Goofy Family had already seen them back in 2005 and they wanted to go catch some rides. I’m thinking they went to Test Track and Mission Space but I can’t remember so hopefully she’ll add to this. The rest of us stayed and watched Papa Noel in Canada (he was cute!) and then we headed to Norway and watched that show. We also popped in to Mexico. In Norway, Trailblazer got her favorite snack (she saved a few of her snack credits for today to get snacks for the LONG ride back home). Afterwards we headed to Club Cool. Then all 12 of us headed for 1900 Park Fare for Christmas Dinner. We toured the resort and then waited (rested) in the lobby until our buzzer went off. 5 of us had eaten there back in June. Surprisinly we had the same waitress, and she was awesome! Davis Dson (13) may not of enjoyed it as much as the rest of us because back in June, Anistatia had told him that they were “engaged”! She went all ga-ga over him back then and she was reminded this trip about the inpending nuptials! (By the way, this was the same exact Anastatia from the last trip, too!) She made a big fuss over him during the whole meal. She kissed him on the cheek (ugh…he hated that, lol!) and told Prince Charming and her sisters that she and Brady were going to be getting married, but the best part was when it was time to waltz, she walked over and pulled (and I mean pulled….she knocked his chair over, lol!) him out of his chair and they waltzed around the restaurant. Needless to say he was a bit ticked at this point, but he was a good sport and she was just hilarious. We all laughed until our stomaches hurt! Even up until it was time for us to leave she was still looking for the diamond on her hand from him. She kept pointing to her finger!! Drissilla teased with DNephew 14 that they were to be engaged as well. She was so funny, someone at the table asked her name and she said “I’m Drissilla, the pretty one” and that is how she signed the autograph books too! I wonder if we will ever get DSon and DNephew back in to that restaurant EVER again?? After the delicious meal we went back to Epcot and rode Soarin and Spaceship Earth Test Track and Mission Space. Some of us stayed late in Epcot, A Goofy Family went to the MK, DSIL #2 and Trailblazer went back to our rooms to pack up and get some sleep as Trailblazer and Davis family were heading up to St. Augustine for a couple days, and the rest of the group were flying back home tomorrow. The parks were pretty busy (as expected on Christmas Day) but after 9:00pm the place was EMPTY! I was surprised that everything we did after 9:00ish was a walk on.

The part of Brady and Anistatia had me laughing out loud all over again. I'd LOVE to get the boys back there and surprise the stepsisters (and the boys) with fake engagement rings!

Friday

All packed and ready to leave WDW—The Davis family and I crawled back into the Rendezvous and we drove to St Augustine, FL. The rest of the party flew home that day on Southwest Airlines. We stayed at Jacksonville, FL and drove to St Augustine on Sat and did the trolley ride on Sat. You can get on and off as many times as you like and the ticket is good for 3 days. We actually bought the ticket on Friday and went to the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum and took a Christmas Trolley ride with Christmas music through St Augustine that evening. That was really beautiful. Then we headed to our hotel in Jacksonville. Ate at Applebees for dinner.

Saturday

The next morning we got up and went back to St Augustine to see the Beautiful Presbyterian Church that we didn’t get to see a couple of years ago and a few other things. Then we walked thru the shops, went over to the Fort, the winery, the oldest wooden school house in USA, and also went to the lighthouse. What a day! Heather and I split a cameral apple and Britt had a huge ice cream cone.


Sunday—

So we are winding down and had to load up again for the ride back home. We drove from Jacksonville, FL to Layette, LA and arrived around 9:00pm. The next morning we were back on the road around (9:30am and arrived home around 4:30pm. We had a great trip and drove 2450 miles.

What a fun trip! The pile of laundry once we arrived home was not so fun, lol!
