I don't think I've ever seen Castmembers actually working inside LWTL, aside from leading the Behind the Seeds tour! This was quite an exciting moment for me.

A Christmas tree made out of rosemary! I didn't know they decorated LWTL for Christmas, so this was a nice little surprise.

Re: A Very Merry Trip Report...in pictures!

Jose and Panchito (the brave ones) went on Mission Space while me and Baloo sat outside and waited (and maybe snuggled a little ). By then it was almost time for our lunch ressies, so we crossed over into the World Showcase side and made our way to Mexico.

Now I can check "eat at San Angel Inn" off my Disney World to-do list!

The pavillion was all decorated for the holidays.

Look at that view!!! We had a table right by the water!

I'm going to be cheesy for a minute here... but it was a really great Disney moment for me to watch kids stare at us as they went by in the boat, and remember myself as a kid doing the same thing and thinking that I really wanted to eat there one day... and now here I was, all grown up and eating there!

We all ordered different things... I had Enchiladas Verdes de Camaron. From the allears menu site: "Corn tortilla stuffed with marinated shrimp, topped with sour cream, fresh cheese and onions, covered with green tomatilla sauce." (San Angel Inn Lunch Menu - Mexico - World Showcase - Epcot) It sounded like it would be good... but I wasn't impressed. The shrimp were covered with a tomato-based sauce inside the tortillas, and then there was the green tomatilla sauce all over the plate on the outside, plus the sour cream... I think it was just too many sauces for me.

Jose and Panchito weren't really thrilled with theirs either (Jose had mahi-mahi and Panchito had something with steak)... but Baloo loved his! He had an appetizer, Tostados de Jaiba: "Fried corn tortillas topped with shredded crab meat, mixed with chipolte mayo, red onions, cilantro, and lime juice." His looked the best too, as in it appeared the most appetizing. It was really clean and simple - nacho-sized crispy tortillas with a little crab on top, and a little garnish on the side.

Despite our mixed emotions about the food, we all agreed it was well worth it for the atmosphere. We also agreed that next time we would follow Baloo's example and try appetizers instead of entrees.

After lunch, we headed back out to World Showcase and completed the circle all the way around.

...and this mariachi orchestra! I've never seen so many of them out there all at once! The sound was pretty impressive.

Jose and Panchito make some very convincing Norwegian children.

One quick ride on Spaceship Earth to take a peek at our futures, and then we headed back to the hotel for a break in the middle of the day.

I was too excited to get onto Soarin and Test Track to take this picture when we arrived, so I took a quick one as we were making our way towards the exit.

Day 2 continues (after a nap) at Hollywood Studios!

Great pics of the Osborne Lights. I just love those streets. Nothing more magic than Disney at Christmas.

I love those moments, I often do the same thing & relate experiences I have now as an adult in WDW to when I was a child.

Awesome pics too!

One of our mutual favorite rides! We got the gangster. He was pretty good. But I'm always partial to the cowboy.

Hoping against hope, we headed back to try to sneak onto Toy Story Mania before the park closed. But it still had a loooong line, so we decided to return the next morning and grab an early fastpass.

It was only 8pm when HS closed, so we headed back to the hotel and straight to the food court for dessert! I had a cookies & cream milkshake... delish. Then it was back to our room to watch one of the Disney channels repeat its spots until we couldn't stand it anymore. Early bedtime to prepare for our early wake-up call... End of Day 2!

Only one day left...
