Having a Fantasmic type in CAR show would be wicked cool!
I overheard someone in line talking about the light show in CA Adventure so don't quote me on that. It would be an awesome place for it, though. Bigger body of water than the one in DL for Fantasmic.

Have to say, I'm still a WDW person, but it does interest me... :D Most learn more! haha.

Thanks for this post!!
There's a lot more to CA than DL. What other state can you go to where they routinely elect actors for governor...lol...all kidding aside I think it's a good thing to do at least once because this is where it all started. Kind of like a mecca for Disney fanatics.

It is a totally different experience than DW. Everything within walking distance and there isn't really a park like CA Adventure in DW.

Having said all that I'm sure if you never make it out here to see DL you'll be just fine. DW has more to offer. But for me, DL is a 6 hour drive away (5 if I let my son drive).

Now that we are DVC members I'm sure we'll be going to DW once a year from here on out.

Thank you for the great TR! I am trying to find all I can about DL because we go this summer! I can't wait to see where it all started.

Thanks for reading my TR...I have much to learn about trip reporting after reading others. We're going to DL in late May to celebrate my wife's birthday so we'll checking out and reporting on the perks of being at the park on your birthday.

Let me know if you have any questions about DL. We spend quite a bit more time there than in DW. Although, I would like to change that.

Thanks! Right now I am working on our "plan of attack" for both parks. I see this as a great challenge, I love to plan! But, we are having conflicting answers on what is the first "must ride-ride" of the day in each park!

Well, I think I covered my whole trip. I really like you TR. I can tell I need to take more pics next time. I thought I saw you in storytellers cafe. Did you ever eat there? I do have a few more pics I could post. Sun. morning early entry was awesome! I've never seen that few of people at the entrance like that.

We are going back for my DW's birthday in May, so I'll take more pics for sure.

Oh my gosh!! My husband and I are in your photo in post #4 of this thread. We are in the bottom right in the corner. You can see the bottom of my pink shirt. I have a grey sweatshirt over the top of it. And a hat on. Awesome!!

I'm currently writing my trip report (we were in the parks on the 21st, 22nd, and 25th) in my blog. I haven't written about the 25th yet. But when I do, feel free to check it out and see if you made it into any of our photos :) The address to my blog is in my profile.

Re: Disneyland Jan 24-25

I enjoyed your report a lot.
I miss going to DL.

Say, where "up north" is your brother's race track? We used to live between Santa Rosa and Petaluma - is it anywhere near there?

No, not that far north. It's in Stockton. A friend of mine has raced in Petaluma in the past. There is a big track over there somewhere but I've never been. We feel really lucky to live close enough to drive to DL as much as we do. Maybe someday we'll move within driving distance of DW...lol
