Day 4 -Arrive at WDW

WE spenet the morning with friends at Grande Vista and headed to WDW at 1:30 in the afternoon.

Arrived at the Poly around 2:00 and no wait to check in and room was ready. Stayed in Figi room 3314. Third floor overlooking marina. Great room:D . Exactly area we requested.

Arrived in room, looked off balcony, smiled, unpacked, looked off balcony, smiled, finished unpacking, looked off balcony, smiled, turned on WDW info channel, looked off balcony, smiled, sons got excited about mickey soap, looked off balcony, smiled.

Headed for monorail around 4:00 and rode to CR for PS at Chef Mickey's. Arrived early so took sons to gameroom in CR and played for a while. Then went to dinner. What a great start to WDW vacation. Chef Mickey's was wonderful and our first visit. The characters were awesome as my 6 yr old DS put it. The food was good an my DW loved the parmesan potatoes.

Caught the monorail to TTC and took monorail over to EPCOT and back. Went back to Poly and went swimming. DSs loved the volcano pool and the slide. They rode about 6 times. Then we watched the light parade from the beach.

Headed to room and my DS 3yrs old came up and hugged me and said thanks for taking him to Chef Mickey's and on the monorail and my 6 yr old hugged me as he was going to sleep and said thanks for bringing them to WDW. MADE THE WHOLE TRIP AND PLANNING WORTH IT ALL.

They went to sleep quick, and as I was about to fall asleep I heard the fireworks go off that they were testing. Could not see them, but they were louder than the usual fireworks.

Sounds like at great start to your WDW vacation. Can't wait to hear more.

BTW....I heard the fireworks too. That was Sunday 6/15 right? I agree, they were louder than normal. Maybe they were closer? We had a note in our room about the testing. I was falling asleep too and was too tired to get up to look.

Yeah, that was 6/15. We received the letter when we checked in, and we were going to tryt o see them, but when they started going off everyone else in the room was asleep and I could not see them from our room. I was tired and just went back to bed.
