Loving your pictures! Happy to hear you were moved and liked the 50's. That's the request I put in. What this I hear about frozen coke? I've never stayed at pop before.
Can't wait to read more.

This is the second time we've stayed in the 50's so we were thrilled. First time was a room on the backside overlooking the lake. Very nice! But this room was fun, too. The walk to the food court is soooooo much nicer than the 80's building!!!!!!!!

Ah, frozen Coke. My Pop Century vice . There's a machine in the food court with regular frozen Coke and blue frozen Coke, which I would guess to be blue raspberry. It's a Coke slushie or Icee. I can't get enough of the blue one (don't care for the regular one) on those warm, sunny days after walking a theme park or sitting by the pool.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

Okay, picking up where I left off.

We indulged in a turkey leg and just walked around enjoying the sights, sounds, and, yes, the smells of DHS. I really made myself aware of the smells this time because I kept reading everyone's TRs including the smells and I just couldn't relate. Now I can. We walked the streets and I dared DS to run up this hill. He didn't take me up on my dare .

We decided we were hungry for real food but none of the counter service places in DHS appealed to us so we decided to take the boat to . . .

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

DS enjoyed the entertainers, one magician and one mime guy, to the fullest extent of enjoyment. Silly is his middle name . I enjoyed just watching people. In an hours time I must have heard ten different languages, but, you know what, we all spoke the universal language of laughter.
We chose to get a bite from the wagon on the Boardwalk (can't remember the name). DS had a cheesy hot dog, I had a chicken sandwich, and DH had a barbeque pork sandwich. Surpisingly we were all happy with our choices! Either they really were tasty or we were really hungry.
It was windy and gettin' downright cold, even for us northerners so we decided to head out. Here are a couple pics taken on our way away from DHS and after returning to DHS.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

By now we were tired and cold (cold in Florida??? ) so we decided to go back to Pop and make it the end of our first day at WDW. It was a nice relaxing day with six days to go.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

Oh I loved the pictures from the Indy show. That is one of our new favorite things to do at Disney Studios. I can't believe we missed it all those years.

Frozen cokes are a very good reason for staying at Pop.

Thanks. We've seen the Indy show three times and still aren't tired of it!

Good, 'cuz I've got plenty more to go! Slowly but surely it's getting done.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

Day 3 - Tuesday

My family is so on the same page when it comes to "where should we go today?" Hands down, we all wanted to go to Epcot. After a quick bite at the Pop food court (breakfast pizza - yum!, and a breakfast platter) we were ready to go. BTW, I don't think I mentioned that we packed a small soft-sided cooler with the intention of filling it with ice every morning and storing our leftovers or beverages from the kids meals if we didn't drink them on the spot. It worked perfectly for us! DS's job every morning was to take the short walk to the ice machine and fill 'er up.
Anyway . . . off to Epcot! The Flower and Garden Show was even more beautiful this year than last. Having blue skies most of the time really helped with brightness of colors, too.
