Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

The line for Spaceship Earth, was, well, nonexistent, so we started our adventure there. Here are the two photos that are taken as you begin the journey through time. DS was trying to be funny in his photo. Geez, I was already having a bad hair day from the wind !

DS likes to play the driving game in the interactive room at the end of the ride. They sure have made that whole attraction more entertaining!

Oh, I tried taking a non-flash picture as we were going through but this is the best I could do. So I gave up.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

From there we headed straight to Soarin' for our FPs. The park was busy crazy. Like we've never seen it before. The FP line for Soarin' was l.o.n.g. So long, that each machine was open with a CM pushing the button at the back of it to distribute FPs just to keep people moving through. Please don't throw eggs or tomatoes at us but we abused the system and went through twice since we didn't have to insert our room keys. Yes, I felt guilty afterward. Okay, FPs in hand, we marched over to Test Track to hopefully take a ride. The wait line was over an hour already. So, we got FPs, this time be actually inserting the room keys. We could tell this was going to have to be a go-with-the-flow kind of day with all the people that were there but we were okay with that. So we headed over to see our good friend Crush. The line was four miles long for the Nemo ride. I asked the CM nearby if that was also the line for Turtle Talk. She indicated that Turtle Talk was after the ride (I forgot about that part.) As I was saying "Bummer" and walking away she asked if we wanted to skip the ride. I said, "Um, yes?" So she explained that all we had to do was go through the gift shop to get inside. Well, duh, why didn't I figure that out myself??!! So I went up to the boys, winked, and said, "Follow me. I have a secret way to get in." Well, DS was terrified that we were going to get in trouble . I really played into it and said, "Just look like you know where you're going. But keep an eye open for a security officer." His eyes were huge! I finally had to explain that we were okay, the CM told me to use this door. Whew!

Here are a few pics while we waited to go in.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

After about a twelve minute wait, we were in. I love Turtle Talk. I have no clue how it's done and I don't want to know for fear it will ruin it for me. But it IS cool.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

DS wanted to check out Innoventions so we headed in. We had to do the fire safety attraction because, well, we do every year! We were doing awesome until we got into the garage. Um, we just couldn't get coordinated and it burned. Oops. But we still pretended to be official firefighters at the end.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

Can't remember the order of things, but somewhere in there we did the Velcro Show. Um, it was interesting. Actually DS enjoyed it because it was . . . yes, silly. For those that haven't experienced it, a slapstick pair of guys choose victims, I mean people, from the audience to participate in contests involving velcro. Guess everyone should do it at least once. The best part was that one of the "chosen ones" really really didn't want to be up there. He was a newlywed and his contest involved diapering dolls and attaching them to the apron he was wearing. He was soooo embarrassed.
Let's see, oh, and that's where our addiction to KimPossible started. We saw the machine to get the ticket and decided to give it a try even though we really had no clue what we were in for. However the ticket wasn't good until 5:00 so we muddled along. Decided to grab a bite to eat at Electric Umbrella. It was okay. Nothing to write home about but it wasn't terrible, either. Just very busy!! At that point we realized that the crowd got bigger. Really bigger. So we decided to head back to Pop and hope that it was warm enough to go swimming.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

Although it wasn't the warmest day, it was okay for the boys to go swimming. They weren't there for long, though. The clouds rolled in and the downpour came about an hour into their fun. The downpour didn't last more than a half hour but DH was worried about lightening so they came in. (There was no lightening, btw.) After a little relaxing in the room, we headed back to Epcot. First stop . . .

Thanks! It was chilly by Florida standards but not by Wisconsin standards. Monday and Tuesday were the only "chilly" days. The rest were sunny and very warm . And that rainfall was the only one we had to deal with. We took three disposable rain ponchos per person and didn't use any of them.

Re: The "I need a TR!" trip report

I just loved those impatiens towers they had at Epcot, glad to see you posted a picture, I thought I took some myself, but alas, there were none.

I could not get over the topiaries. Glad you guys enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival. It is really something you have got to see.
