Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
I have always wanted to fly down to WDW for 2 or 3 days and by the big smile on your Mom's face it looks like it was well worth it. Thanks for sharing your pictures, can't wait to read more.

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
Well, day 2. The main reason why Mom was so excited to go to Disney was the flower and garden show. She's an advid gardener and couldn't wait to see what Disney had to offer.
When we arrived, I kind of was a cruel daughter because I wouldn't let her stop for anything, pictures, flowers.....nothing. We had to get to Sorin for fastpasses. Now I would have taken her ticket and gone on ahead, but I wanted her to try the Seeds of Life boat ride also. As usual, the building was a bit crowded, and took a lot of manuevering and patience to get through the crowd (does anyone else feel like that building is a fire hazard waiting to happen, with just one exit for all those people?). Got our fastpasses for 1:30pm and then went in line for the Seeds. Great group of people in front of us, as the gentleman took my Mom under his wings, guiding her where she should go with her scooter. As I thought, Mom was surprised to see the greenhouses and loved it. After that, we decided to just walk around and look at flowers. Here's some pictures:

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
Was able to get on Spaceship Earth with little wait, although I don't think the computers were working properly because I was excited to see Mom's reaction when they put our faces on it, but it didn't happen. The ride did stop two times while we were on it, so maybe that messed things up. The rest of the day was very leisure like. Met a wonderful group of women from Boston, that we kept running into all morning. No matter where we went, they were there! There was one ride I had to go on, that I knew Mom wouldn't be able to, Test Track. When we went over there, it was 100 minute wait, so we decided to go on Ellen's Universe of Energy. I had only been on that once before, and really enjoyed it this time, as I paid more attention to the dialog, and actually how funny Ellen really is. When we got out, I saw that the single rider line for TT was only 20 minutes. I look at Mom, she says "see you later." It was amazing, I walk in, pass by everyone, normal line and fastpass, continue straight into the room with the movie. There's only about 10 other teenagers in there. The one door closes and the other opens. No movie!!! Everyone cheers. The CM said they needed single riders so we went straight to the ride. My kids don't believe me, but I was in a car within two minutes of walking in the line.
Here's two more pictures. They are my favorite two of all the flower groups.

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
One neat thing during the flower and garden show that I didn't recall reading about is the butterfly exhibit. You go into this area and butterflies are everywhere. Could stay there for a very long time, but felt you couldn't because so many people wanted to get in. Not sure how the pictures will show, but here they are.

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
The rest of the day was shopping until dinner. In a previous thread I was asked if we had dining plan. No, we decided that we would most likely do more counter service and felt passing on it would be best for this trip. But, I did want to take Mom out to dinner for a nice sit down. So, I let her pick the resturant. Le Cellier was her pick, but as you probably guessed it, couldn't get adr's so we had a back up at Rose and Crown. What a wonderful time. The food was good, the cm, Kevin, was just a pleasure and we had a great seat, outside looking over the lagoon. Here's me and Mom enjoying our evening and our view.

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
The rest of Epcot was shopping and people watching. We didn't stay for Illuminations because we hadn't even had a chance to get to the resorts gift shop, and I wanted to go over to Riverside and show her that also. We did get on Sorin, in which Mom said it was her second favorite ride (Mickey's Philharmagic is number one!). I haven't mentioned, but yes, we laughed pretty much all day. Everything seemed funny, and I think goofy came out in both of us.

Re: 3 Wonderful Days-The Trip Report
Day 3 - Animal Kingdom. We had planned out definitely going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, but for the third day, we had decided to play it by how we felt that day. Almost in stereo, we both said Animal Kingdom when the topic came up that morning. It was a short day, as we had to be on Magical Express by 1:40pm. That three hour early process just kills me, but I understand to give everyone enough time.
We had to have woken up our neighbors next door that morning. You see, the night before I told Mom we needed to get a call from Mickey to wake up early, so we would have plenty of time to get there at rope drop. So I placed a wake up call for 7am. I forgot she would have no clue what I was talking about, so here it is 7am the next morning and the phone rings. Mom jumps ten feet into the air, and I'm smiling telling her to pick it up (still not realizing she doesn't know who's going to be at the other end of the call). She starts yelling "It's Mickey. What's he doing on the phone." I'm laughing so hard, my side is hurting, then she starts and I'm sure we became the wake up call for the neighbors! Seemed like we didn't do too much at AK. Waited a long time for the Safari. They have a separate bus for handicap, in which was a huge line. Was fun though. Safari is one of the rides that is a given you can't miss every time you are there.
