Re: Our first DVC trip!
It was! It was our best trip yet and it was very relaxing!! And it's the first time we even came back and didn't feel like we needed a vacation after our vacation!

Re: Our first DVC trip!
Ok... Ok... I'm posting more... LOL
![]() After dinner we said goodbye to my Aunt and my cousin since they were leaving for Clearwater to stay over at the Airforce base since my cousin was taking some sort of test at the Coast Guard base on Tuesday morning. My Uncle and my cousins daughter stayed with us and we decided to go over to HS for EMH (we really only wanted to go over to get a belt for DH from Tattooine Traders, but my Uncle decided to come along)!! We walked from Epcot out of the International Gateway and all the way over to HS, but not because we didn't want to get on the boat...We were trying to get the kids to sleep... worked for my son but not for Jordan (my cousins daughter). We went in and the guys decided to do Star Tours and I watched the kids. They walked right in and right out! Then we trying TSM--60 min wait... No thanks...so we walked up by ToT and RRC and hardly any waits there!! Everyone must have been on TSM!! My Uncle did ToT by himself and Dh and I watched the kids, then my uncle and I did RRC and my DH watched the kids...He doesn't do coasters, so I usually ride them by myself. We went thru single rider and we on and off in 10 mins! We were beat by then and called it a night. We said goodbye to my Uncle and Jordan and told them where to catch the bus to go back to Pop and we walked back to BWV.

Re: Our first DVC trip!
Tuesday May 5th-- Our 8th Anniversary!
![]() ![]() We got up around 8 got ready and went to MK. Of course DS fell asleep right before the bus got there.... ![]() We grabbed a bite to eat in Main Street Bakery, those Cinnamon Rolls!! And DD and Dh did the Speedway (one of DD's favorites) while I sat with DS and let him sleep.![]() After the Speedway we went back to Toontown and DH asked DD if she wanted to get her face painted... She's never done that before and we'll prob never do it again! It was smeared within an hour...but it did look pretty! ![]() ![]() DD wanted to meet the Fairies and that was one of her "must do's" this week. So we waited a good 40 mins to meet Tink, Silvermist and Fawn (DD's 3 favorites) They took a liking to DS too and cried a little at Tink, but he LOVED Silvermist! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We took the train around having every intention on eating lunch at Peco Bill's but we forgot to get off at Frontierland and we rode all the way back around to Toontown, so we ate at Pinochio's which was ok! I scored a great table overlooking iasw while DH and DD got our food! We did Haunted Mansion and then called it a day there. We wanted to get in a swim and get ready for our anniversary dinner at Tutto Italia.

Cute pics!
![]() Yes-the face painting is ONLY good when it's not over 90 degrees!! I only let my kids do it in the winter months so I know it will be on most of the day! Too expensive to be smeared in an hour . . . we do the tats in the summer months! My DD9 loves the speedway! It's a new fav for her! |

Re: Our first DVC trip!
We walked over to Epcot met Belle on the way
![]() and were off to Tutto for our ADR. We only had a short wait until we were seated. The service here was outstanding! But if we weren't on the dining plan I wouldn't have went. The food was really good but very small portions and VERY expensive. After dinner we went to Mousegears where DH and DD decided to play around with the pirate toys. ![]() Then we walked over to Beaches and Cream for a Chocolate Shake to share (we got it from the To-Go side). DD on the "beach" ![]() and we just walked the complete loop back to BWV and called it a night. ![]()

Re: Our first DVC trip!
Wednesday May 6th
We got up by 7 and got ready to head out to Epcot. We had a 9:25am ADR at Akerhaus with the rest of my family. DD got dressed up in her Ariel dress and I put extra clothes in our backpack knowing that she'd change right after. We strolled up to International Gateway and actually had to wait 15 mins for rope drop... I don't know why, but I thought we'd be able to make a right and walk thru France, etc to get over to Norway but we couldn't. We still made it over there before our ADR time though and I took a couple pics of the girls in their dresses. (the dress me cousin's daughter is wearing is actually DD's old dress from when she was two!) (ds asleep waiting for rope drop) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Our first DVC trip!
The breakfast had changed a bit since the last time we were there (2006). Different princesses and the buffet now for your cinnamon rolls, danishes, fruit, etc. But the eggs, sausauge, bacon and that delish potato cassarole is still served on the platters. Still a yummy breakfast and now you get the photo package with it! I'm surprised Chef Mickey's hasn't started to include those photos yet....
Our princesses today were (and I was surprised by two who are usually only there at lunchtime!) Belle, Aurora, Snow White AND Cinderella and Ariel!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Our first DVC trip!
We said our goodbye's to my family after breakfast and they stayed in Epcot and we jumped on the monorail to the TTC to go to AK. And we got to ride up front in the monorail for the first time!! What a different view!!
![]() ![]() ![]() AK was NUTS!! We fastpassed the safari and went and did the Jungle Trek which we had never done before and there were just so many people that we decided to skip the safari and get out of the park. We wanted to go check out Kidani and we went and waited for the bus to AKL---which took over a 1/2 hr to get there!!!! Kidani was AMAZING!! It was the first stop on the way from AK. I love how small the lobby is and how it feels so much more intimate! And the animal lookout is at ground level and makes those giraffes feel so much bigger!! The gift shop is alot smaller than Jambo houses too!! These were taken up on a "deck" off the lobby that you can also watch the animals from. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Our first DVC trip!
We didn't stay at Kidani too long, we were hungry and ready for a late lunch/early dinner. DH didn't want the Mara at Jambo so we took the bus to Downtown Disney and grabbed a bite from Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace. This place would be awful expensive if we didn't have the dining plan!! It was good though!
And after lunch we got back on the bus to BWV and we did nothing else the rest of the day... well no I lie....We did start packing up since we were checking out of BWV and into Saratoga on Thursday.

Re: Our first DVC trip!
Thursday May 7th
We woke up at 6 am this morning and took showers and pack the rest of our things up. We called Bell Services and they were there in record time to help us with our bags and move them to Saratoga Springs for us. They took them and we double checked our room, then went downstairs to check out and took the bus to MK so that we would make it to Chef Mickey's for our 8:40 am ADR! Look there's are new second home! ![]() We waited awhile after our ADR, 20 mins or so, then our pager went off. DH and I laughed to ourselves because of all the times we've been to Chef Mickey's we always seem to get the same table next to the door to the kitchen... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Breakfast was good and the characters moved pretty fast... The only one we waited forever for was Donald and my DS was starting to get antsy....So we left. We looked around the gift shop then we went downstairs to meet our DVC van to go to the preview center and see our guide and check out the BLT models.

Re: Our first DVC trip!
We got to the preview center and checked DD into the kids center which she was really excited about! And we waited for our guide to come and get us which didn't take long at all. We looked at the models first (he pretty much knew already from our conversations on the phone that we wanted to add on but I needed to see the models first in person) and let me tell you how pictures you see of these models do NOT do it justice! DH and I fell in love right away! The 1 bedroom is HUGE!! So we talked to our guide some more and decided to add on 150 points at BLT! We knew going into AKV last year that we needed more than 100 points (which is what we bought in with last year) and I'm so glad that we were able to add on at BLT! I
it!!After we signed our paperwork, our guide gave us fastpasses (because he said we waited a while for him, which we didn't think we did) and we picked up DD and had our Ice Cream then went to the Carriage House to check in!
