Things went smoothly once again since I did the online check in (and I got my first "Welcome home! "but they said that our room wasn't ready and we were going to be in Springs.

I asked if there were any other rooms availible and they said plenty just not in the Springs. I said ok and we went down to the Springs bus stop to catch a bus to a park, that's when we decided we DID NOT want to be in Springs afterall... that bus stop is HOPPING! And there is a good chance that if you are going out to the parks you are not going to get a seat... Not good when we have an 8 month old with us. So we walked back up the hill to Carriage house and I kindly asked if there were rooms availible in Grandstand (my second choice) they said there were but there was some sort of convention and most of the rooms were being used by it... Thinking it was going to be too busy over there I asked what about Paddock and they said yes there were rooms availible and put us into a room in the perfect location, right as you get off the elevators, next to the bus stop and the pool too. I said great and we trekked off to find our room.

We get to the room and I find it odd first of all that the door has two eye hole things... then notice that the counters are lower and the room is set up completly different than the pics I've seen....we got a handicapped room. So I called the front desk right away and they apologized, assigned me a new room in Congress Park and had a runner bring out our new keys.

We got room 2414 which was a corner room, with a view of the bus stop, which still was nice! CP was a great section to be in! Quick walk to Artist Pallete and a quick walk to DtD!

DD and I decided to go for a walk while DH relaxed and DS took a nap. So we checked out the quiet pool in Congress Park and DD checked out the playground. I wouldn't let her go down the slide because it was just too hot out.

I like that photobucket resizes your pictures for you I just can't stand that it took away so much of the detail out of the pictures!!

I will be using my DVC points for the first time in Aug 09. I banked my other points to use in 2010. My first stay will be at SSR but, my home resort AKV.

Unfortunately that didn't happen...

We went to the online check in desk and everything was waiting for us. We had a new cm who was earning his ears. We paid for our dining plan and we were off to dropped our carryons in our room.

We got room 5089--so not too too far from the elevators. We got a great view of the quiet pool, community hall and tower of terror!!

OH NO! I am sorry you didn't get the big "Welcome Home!" Although it sounds like you had an awesome room, the view is fantastic! So glad you love your DVC, it is great isn't it.

After we signed our paperwork, our guide gave us fastpasses (because he said we waited a while for him, which we didn't think we did) and we picked up DD and had our Ice Cream then went to the Carriage House to check in!

Sooo cool! CONGRATS! Those models ARE gorgeous & I can't wait to stay there in December.

We did the same from last year! (Banked our 2008 points) Plus we had developer points to use at SSR by June of this year!

We really did!! And we were sooooo spoiled with BWV being able to walk to two parks!!

I do love it!! It makes me wonder why it took us so long to discover it!! I can't imagine vacationing without it now!! (gosh, I sound like a commercial or something!! )
