Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th
"Day 5"
Well, this day was different from the rest of them... We decided to cancel our Crystal Palace resv. and go to Typhoon Lagoon for the day. We got there as they began to open and decided to take a couple of laps in the Lazy River ... Very Nice !!!! After our couch potato-type floating we headed over towards the main pool and pulled up some chairs "Right on the Line" ... (Most of you might know what I mean if not ).... I'll explain! There is a line that if you cross it with your chair the LG's will ask you to move back past it. We must have watched them tell people this most of the day. It didn't hamper our frosty beverage consumption though!!! Our lil' DD played out about 15 feet from us and met a couple of friends and had a wonderful time ... I occasionally rolled myself out there to join her and we played in the waves. She would get exited when the horn sounded and we would hear the big SWOOSH, she would start running closer to the shore . She really had fun and the DW and I really enjoyed sitting in the water (BUT NOT OVER THE LINE!) and soaking in the sun with some suds. We had put on sun screen but for some reason it faded on me, The DW already had a tan so it never bothered her. Myself and the lil' one got somewhat red. We thought we covered ourselves good!?!?!? This was the only day we did not bring the cameras, so sorry I don't have any pics to show for this TR... Trust me it would have been several shots of me in a chair with a cup.... or two? We did get to witness the Shuttle flying overhead at one point, we had no idea why everyone suddenly looked up towards our direction .... It was a nice day After we water logged ourselves out we drug back to the hotel, grabbed a quick early dinner at the Food Court and oddly enough our DD had no desire to hit the pool... Hmmmmmm? Nap time what'll ya say . . . More to Come ... Day 6 ![]()

Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th "DAY 1"
I'm thinking of taking my DD to the water parks but for some reason I can't get into it thinking we will be cold and wet going back on a bus.
Looking foward to more.

Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th "DAY 1"
Just grab some extra clothes and rent yourself a locker for $5 and when your done you change and on the bus you go.... It is funny because the Typhoon Lagoon Bus heading back to ASM is the most quiet of them all. Everyone is wiped out !!!

Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th "5"
We still have our tans , The DD and I. We started the morning off putting on the wrong sunscreen, I thought it was water proof but ... not. I guess I never really felt the heat do to the fact that A. It did feel amazing being out there . And, B. I had frosty beverages, and I already forgot C....
I liked having a locker and the fact that the key was a braclet and it never got lost. Our next time (TL) we will try it for 2 days.

Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th
" Day 6 "
Today was the day we would cut loose and and go to Epcot for our regular "Beer Walk" . We decided that we would get there around 4'ish.... So to start off the day we headed over to Hollywood Studios. We arrived a few minutes before they opened and they had the American Idol crew w/ cameras asking random people if they wanted to audition, They looked at me and I just "No thank you" ... In my mind I really was saying " No Thank You" hmmmm, deja vu! To start off the HS experience I had forgot our DD special guest pass and went to the guest relations to get one for the park ... at the window the gentleman (and I'll be nice and say gentleman ) questioned me "Why do you need a pass" with my daughter standing there with me. I'll explained that besides having Downs she cannot stand for long periods of time. He quickly Sighed and acted extremely put out ... and with this I got a lil' (And I'll just say a lil') irritated . After writing out the pass I stood there for a moment wanting to say something to him since it was just him and I , but the fact my DD was beside me I just decided to cool my jets .... Once the park opened we made our way towards the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" , we have always walked past it but never went in so we decided today was the day... DD loved it! We time it right as we walked across to Playhouse Disney and caught that show! After that we anticipated "Beauty and the Beast" being something she would love and like Mermaid we never have seen it , so we walked into the amphitheatre a CM asked us if our DD would like to walk up to the stage after the performance to see Belle and the Prince ..... How cool is that ?!?!?! We watched the show and just as they started to bow a CM came over and took DD to the stage to meet them. They gave her a Rose and shook her hand and that point my DW and I had tears in our eyes .... She blew them a kiss and walked back to our seats and our DD handed her mommy the rose ....AWESOME!!! After we dried our eyes we decided to try and get reservations to 50's Primetime Cafe , we walked right over to the Dinning Resv. center asked for lunch and they had them for us in no time . We walked in and before we could sit in there waiting area we were called "Kids time to eat". Our CM was great , she made me set our table and sat with us and complained about the "Kids" at the table beside us... I asked her for Ketchup and she yelled at that same table to hand over theirs .... too funny! The food was pretty good too! After a great HS day we headed back to the room for a lil' R & R so we could be in tip top shape for Epcot.... We actually fell asleep for an hour and we awoke to cloudy noisy rain . . . uh oh!!! We jumped on the bus and by the time we pulled up to Epcot it was raining , but no worries mate ..It's Epcot! We started off heading directly over to the Canada section to see Off Kilter ...oops they don't play today, another mis-read on my part. No Worries still , we headed to the U.K. to see British Invasion and once again "Rained Out" ... Another swing and a miss ! Alright it's time to head over to see whats going on at the American Adventure .... Nothing! O.k., O.k. we'll just have to drink beer (Frosty Beverages) without music , no problem. It started to pour so we pitched a tent behind the Fife and Drum ( already had tents there... ha' , and began our "Beer Walk / Sit" We did get to do a lil' shopping so it was not all lost and we did enjoy the cool wind from the rain. After a hour or so it finally stopped raining so we decided it was time to head back to the room and we skipped Illuminations. (we had already seen it our second night I think) Day 7 to follow . . .

What a great trip report. I am happy to hear about your breakfast at Tusker House, and that your meal at Prime Time was a fun one. If you have a good server, Prime Time is such a fun meal. :)

Re: Walt Disney World May 7 - 14th
"Day 7" Our last full day (Sniff - Sniff)
Up and out the bed for me around 7 am , did the usual walk to the foodcourt for the DW coffee (More like cream with a pinch of coffee). Today we were going to hit the AK for another trip on the "Safari Bus" and try to catch "Nemo" . We strolled into the park and did a lil' shopping and then B-lined back to the Kiliminjaro Safari , another great trip... DD loved it!!! We continued our sightseeing thru Asia and back towards Africa and by that time we heard a Pooh like "Rumblin' in our Tummies" ... We stopped at the Flame Tree BBQ and had their Ribs .... Tasty. While sitting in their table area we enjoyed feeding a long beaked bird who invited himself to our table... very funny and the DD was amused! We thought about catching the Jungle Parade but we found it to be a couple of hours away and we had circled the park already twice and we were wearing down. Sooooooo we shot back to the room for a quick break because tonight we would do the MK for EH and catch "Wishes" and do all the things we discussed doing there before we left. Once in the MK we snapped a gazillion pics around Roy and Minnie, I shot a lil' 1 minute video of the DD waving bye and blowing kisses . It is to be used for the ending in my DVD of our trip which is almost complete. We hit the Main Street shops for a while and picked up some things we thought we needed to get. Basically we toured around Adventureland and hit the POTC shop and while they shopped I took the ride .... Still Great!!! We made our way over towards Splash Mtn. to watch them plunge, The DD gets a kick out of seeing them and when we ask her if she wants to try it she replies " No way, Jose " too funny ! We still want to try TSI but we never get interested while over there?!?!?! Finally we move towards Fantasyland and grab a bite at the Pinocchio's Village ... Cardboard Pizza ( Oops did I type that outloud???) We timed it right to watch the Wishes from our tables on the backside of the Castle ... A very different perspective, should have gone around towards the front, but oh well. After the Fireworks we waited for the crowd to ease up , so we decided to walk up to the top of the Train Station and watch people around Main Street. A relaxing end to a vacation that none of us wanted to end .... Sigh Well, that in a nutshell was our adventure for this trip , we always know what to look for on our next and we are already planning!!! I hope some got some info from this , Hope some got a laugh. It's been therapy reminiscing about our trip from just a couple of weeks ago. There's no place like this in the whole world !!!! And it's all for our little girl who loves to tell everyone "Go to Disney World" ......... a tiny bit of it is for the DW and I too !!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()
