Wow! Stuck on Splash for 40 minutes?? Were they inside or out? And I hope that we don't have to wait 90 minutes to meet Tink.

One more picture from Magic Kingdom. That is my DS and I in the front seat!! When my husband and son got stuck on SM later they were stuck inside at "a boring part"(according to my DH!!)

The next morning was our breakfast at Tusker House. We did this one last year for the first time and it has become my DH's favorite!! He just loves the food!! The characters are great, but they do seem to be in quite a rush!!

After riding the safari and walking around Ak for a while, we decided to head back to the resort. DH took the kids to the pool wwhile I did some laundry. At this point we had been away from home for almost a week, so the laundry was starting to pile up!!!! I got really spoiled at the laundry room at SSR-no charge!!!! At POFQ it was $2 to wash and $2 to dry!!! YIKES!!! And what I could do in one load at home took me 3 loads!!! Boy did I miss my super capacity washer!! 7 loads later and it was time to get ready for dinner. We had a reservation at 50's Primetime-another first for us!!
After showering we ended up having to RACE to HS as we were running a little late. When we got to the podium, there was a couple in front of us asking about a walk up, and the CM told them it would be impossible as they were overbooked by 100 people!! What!!!!! Somehow the system double booked the entire evening!!!!!!! Our reservation was at 5:30 pm and we were not even seated until 6:30 pm.
Waiting was not pleasant either-there were tons of bodies crammed into the bar area, so it felt as if the AC was not on!!!!! But, it was still better than being outside as the temp was still about 95 degrees!!
This was where we started to notice how rude some people can be. As we are sitting at the bar waiting a couch came available. A family with 3 teenage boys ran and jumped in it. There was not enough room so 2 of the boys sat on the coffee table. After a few minutes the bartender told them not to sit on the table, and they moved to the floor. The the bartender mumbled,"geez, we would like to keep some nice furniture around here!" Well, I guess their momma did not like this or she didn't realize this was part of the restaurant atmoshpere. She came flying over to the bartender and said,"Did you tell my boys to get off the table?"
Bartender-"Yes"
Mother-"How about a 'please'. We have been waiting for over a half an hour and they are tired. They need to sit somewhere!!"
Bartender-"Sorry, please DO NOT SIT ON THE TABLE!" Their mother then gave the bartender a dirty look and walked away. At first I thought she was playing around, but she was serious!!!!!! I would think that teenagers would know better than to sit on a table anyway!!
Our meal was pretty good, but the whole experience took about 2 1/2 hours!!!! We went on outside to run arounf HS for a whilesince they had EMH.

My DS was loving watching the TV during dinner-at home the TV goes off during meals!! He is also a HUGE Star Wars fan. Unfortunately we were there for Star Wars weekends, but everything was way too crowded!

Today was a "no park day". We decided to hit Typhoon Lagoon! The weather was perfect and we immediately went to the lazy river. It amazes me how rude people can be, especially when you have kids with you!! We were trying to enjoy a relaxing float around the park, but there were several couples, in their 30's, who decided to flip one another and splash(I'm talking major splashing!!). I am all for having fun, but I finally had to take my sunglasses off because I couldn't see out of them!! Finally, I got out of my tube and walked through the river to get away from them!! Somehow they caught up to us everytime we tried to get away. Finally, we just got out.
My kids love the wave pool. DS and DH went out to ride the waves while DD and I got a few photopass pics done and headed to the little slide to the left of the wave pool. For those who do not know, there are 2 little slides at the side of the wave pool-they are in the wave pool-when the waves come you gotta hold on to the little ones because it creates a pretty strong undertow. Well my DS, who is 8- came over and got swept away by one of the waves!!!! When he finally stopped he was laughing hysterically, as were my husband and I!!! The only thing we could compare it to was the toilet bowl!!! So, we told DS that must be what it feels like to get flushed down the toilet!! After that there was no stopping him- he sat in the same spot over and over to get "flushed down the toilet"!!!!! But beware, the current is very srrong- we saw a grown woman knocked off her feet and swept away!!(of course being the nice person I am, I could not help but laugh!!)
A few hours later and a run on Crush n' Gusher, it was time to head back to get ready for dinner at Chef Mickey's!! Our meal was good, but not mishap free!! The kids had gone ahead of me to get dessert. My DD was walkinf back to the table and Goofy did not see her and backed right into her, causing her to spill her plate, ice cream included, on the floor. She was devastated!! When I got back to the table she was crying, and I asked her what was wrong. She told me she dropped her plate on the floor and "it was all Goofy's fault!"

We had gone to Disney last June/July and rented points from a fellow MBer. We had a great trip but had gone about it all wrong. We tried to do the parks as much as possible, sometimes staying out late. We all tired pretty quickly, especially the kids. We stayed for 10 days at SSR(one night I believe was ASSports). My Dh husband said we would never go back to Disney for that long or in June. Fast forward to October.............
This was not going to be a Disney vacation year, we were going to maybe go to the beach for a week. But, in October I received a PIN code for free dining thru the month of June. I explained to my DH how we would relax more on this trip. He agreed to a quote!! I got a quote for 2 separate weeks since we were not too sure which week DH would get off. We knew we would cancel one of them. Out of curiosity, I asked what the price for the 2 weeks was and we were shocked--DH said we could go for 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(as long as he could get the time).
I was able to get all the ADR's that we wanted, including LeCellier. We only went to one(LeCellier) for reasons I will explain later.
So, with the car all packed up we headed to my DS's school on the last day to pick him up...we were officially on vacation!! Dropped the dog at my in-laws and headed south!! We spent the first night in WV and got up the next day and drove to Atlanta to visit family for one night. We left Atlanta around 3:3o pm one June 6th with intentions of driving 4 or 5 hours and stopping for the nite, then finishing the trip to WDW the next day. We were too excited and drove straight thru to Orlando and got a great room in a Holiday Inn Express 10 min from WDW!!
We got to POFQ around 1030 am and checked in. Our room was not ready so we hopped on the boat to DtD. We had a 5:30 pm ressie for TRex, but were all getting hungry and it was only 12:30. They were taking walk-ins, so I cancelled our later ressie and we ate at 1pm. TRex is a place you eat at for the atmosphere, although the food was not too bad. We did a little shopping and our room was ready!! We got building 2 like we requested with a nice view of the courtyard and fountain. We were on the 3rd floor. The first thing I noticed was how run down the room was-it really needed some updating!!!! There were goldfish crackers on the floor when we got to the room that were not put there by us!! Made me feel as if the room really was not too clean. The tile in the sink area felt a little sticky and the botthom of the tub was peeling up-something that I was nervous about and that one of the kids might cut their foot!
WE headed to the pool- my kids were vert excited to try out the pool!!!! Spent the rest of the day unpacking and exploring-walked over to POR and took the boat back.
Will continue more tomorrow-please let me know if this is too detailed and long winded!!!!!!!

oh, I can't wait to read more. I wonder how you felt about that resort. I must say, we were disappointed after all the hype here on MB. We would not go back there again.

Oh my gosh, and you kept that room? I honestly think I would have asked a manager to come see the room & explain that the peeling pain in the tub would injure someone & I'd definately ask what's up with the crackers & sticky sink. Ugh, no way!

That's what we've done for years and it always works out nicely, you usually miss the bulk of the rain & high temps that way.

Yeah, every time we went by the Fairies area we also saw 90 minutes. I never waited in it 'cause I met them in Disneyland in January. Not worth the 90 minute wait in my opinion.
