I hope they keep doing this fireworks dessert thing, because I am SO on board. Those desserts look amazing, and there is nothing I hate more than having to push and shove to see the fireworks - it makes me so cranky! I'm sure DH would say that anything that keeps me from being crabby is worth the $$.

MY REVIEW

Positives:
One hour BEFORE the show you are eating DELICIOUS desserts. Relaxing with your family and friends.

If you "gotta go" there is a bathroom right there, and you don't loose your fireworks spot!

There is a spot for everyone! No pushing or too close people. You can sit until right before the works start.

Stuff for the kids to do to pass the time! (worth every 999 penny!)

Tink flies RIGHT OVER your head!

Negatives:

Spectro was a little tough to see, because you are under lights.
BUT, my DDs just walked up to the rail to watch and they didn't seem to mind.

The LIGHTS!! They should turn them off during the fireworks, but they do not? I don't know why?

If you are not on the left side of the railing, the fireworks are off to the right of the castle.

Overall, I WOULD DO IT AGAIN in a heartbeat!
It was a lot of fun and the desserts were FANTASTIC. (we skipped dinner!)

You should write to Disney and tell them your thoughts!! I'm sure they would appreciate feedback on a new program like this! It is kind of odd that they don't turn off the lights during the fireworks. I'm sure they think it's a safety thing, but you should tell them it takes away from the view. Maybe they could at least come up with a way to dim them in the future.

You know I was thinking..they really should do this Picnic in the Park deal at MGM as well. The theme goes better with AK but MGM's CS's really stink.

No, you can't keep anything. All the plates and cups were plastic.

That is a MANGO SHOOTER . . . it was so good. DD5 had 3 of them. You suck it up through the straw!

Well, not so much the VIEW! I think if you have NEVER SEEN Wishes, you shouldn't do this party. It's not the same as being IN FRONT of the castle. But for us vets, it's very worth it, and the view is good.

The no crowds, close access to the bathroom (DD5 always has to go at the worst possible time! ) and the ALL YOUR CAN EAT yummy desserts makes this VERY worth it!!

I can't wait to go to the dessert party, everything looks so good. We've seen Spectro and Wishes enough to feel comfortable viewing it from a less than prime location. Not standing saving our spot for an hour sounds wonderful. Is it fairly cool during the party? I remember feeling some AC as we walked though the restaurant on the way to TL.

Yes, I was VERY surprised they did not dim them.

Also, there was a LOT of desserts left over, and the CMs told us they just get dumped in the bin! THROWN AWAY!!! They don't give them to CMs cuz they are afraid the chef will over make so there are left overs. They should give take away boxes . . . the chocolate covered strawberries were so GOOD!!

FYI-the pictures I took were the LEFTOVERS!!!

Now that you mention it, yes it was cool! The weather was weird this weekend. It would be nice, then it would rain and be so sticky hot!

During the party it was comfortable though! WOW another reason to go!

OH and there is a HUGE fruit platter . . . does your son eat that?
