Handy Mandy was soooooo cute! The little boys were lovin' him too!

After meetin' and greetin' all the characters I called Jess to touch base. She said she hadn't heard from Erin, but she was going to head out to Ft. Wilderness and see if she was there.

We headed back to the Resort to get changed . . . we were damp!

Jess called us while we were there and said, "No go!" Erin didn't show. We later found out that her daughter was sick and they had to turn around and head home! (Hopefully next time Erin!)

So Jess suggested a walk up at KONA . . . since we'd never been I said, "SURE!"

BEST MEAL EVER!! I WILL BE GOING BACK FOR SURE!

I had the same meal at Kona...oh my gosh I loved loved loved it! To me that place just smells like chocolate! We also had the fondue when we went and it was so so so good. I think it's an every trip place for us!

Same here, there is something about Kona that is just perfection! I am surprised that it's always been so easy for us to get a walk-up there...because it is SO GOOD and is an absolute must-do.

I know. I think sitting right next to Ohana has something to do with it. I think most people must think "If I'm going to do one of the two I'm going to do Ohanas" and just skip on Kona. In my opinion they are both not to be missed!

So true! I used to be of the same mindset, and made ADRs at 'Ohana...but I've always ended up eating at Kona twice as much! I agree, they're both not to be missed.

I'd get so fat if I spent very much time at the Poly....

Yep! Kona rocks for sure!!

The fondue looked really good . . . but I figured since it was my first time I just had to have a KONA KONE!

The kid meals were kinda gross . . . that is why I've always skipped it! They made some substitutions for us though! Next year DD will be 10 and she said, "I'm having what YOU had Mom" I had given her a taste and she really liked it.

Wishy and Dan had some kind of chicken app too . . . and OMG so good!!

Funny thing is I called to make a ressie, and they were BOOKED . . . we did a walk up with 5 and they sat us right away!!

A CM i spoke to said when the online dining first came out, it was letting people double, triple book time slots . . . now they have fixed that and you get a "This is a conflict" message if you try and double book!

I am LOVING your trip report so far!! Your girls are so adorable...and the UP! characters are the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Other things that look AMAZING so far:
- The pool at Kidani Village. WATER SLIDE?? Omigosh.
- The picnic in the park at AK. I'd love to try this!
- The fireworks/dessert party!! I can't wait to go on the 13th. I loved your review of it.

Not so amazing is your daughter's chemical burn incident! When I was pregnant with DD4, I passed out inside Pinocchio Village Haus...my husband said the medics were there in under 2 minutes. He was wayyy impressed with how they took care of me. It was sad to lose that time, but thankfully it wasn't serious and I didn't have to go to the clinic or cut the trip short. The thought of those shuttles transporting people away from the magic to a clinic is just awful though! I can't believe it took them 3.5 hours to diagnose her eye. I'm glad it didn't completely ruin your trip!

Yes! I am so glad we are FL residents and get to visit WDW a lot! The wait was so long because the Doc who was there got sick, and we had to wait an hour for the new doc to arrive.

I keep thinking about how sad all those people looked. This one lady kept getting phone calls from her family . . . they went on without her . . . I felt so badly for her!

You are going to LOVE the dessert party . . . lots of fun!

Plus we go so often, I am so bad at the picture thing!

So after our YUMMY, YUMMY dinner at Kona (make a ressie TODAY!) we walked around the Poly. ( that resort!)
