ssn trip report - first day

tues - 7/1
arrived at Orlando airport, no problems. Our Tiffany Towncar driver was waiting by the baggage claim. Got luggage, went to towncar - very nice. Driver stopped @ grocery store. Picked up diapers, bottled water, muffin, poptarts and snacks. Highly recommend Tiffany Towncar. Got to Poly around 4 pm, noone in line for check in. Pleasant CM, but not get an "island feeling" from him. Not very talkative. Oh well - I was happy enough - got the exact room I requested (Samoa 3rd floor facing quiet pool). Went to room. So happy, room was decorated with balloons and bday cake from the Poly for DH's 40th bday!!! Great way to start trip!!! Unpacked while DH took DD for a swim. Had PS at Chef Mickey's for 6:00. Hopped on the monorail (very short walk from our longhouse). Cm seated us right away. Then a frantic server came over and said we were sitting at another family's table (who was at the buffet getting their food!) We were quickly relocated! The character interaction was great!!!! This was a test for DD to see how she would do with the characters (she's 2 1/2) Thankfully she loved them!! Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, chip and Dale came by at least twice during our dinner. The food was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were AWESOME!!! (DH and I still like Crystal Palace the best) Donald Duck was the greeter in the front so we got pictures with him on the way out. Back to the hotel, for early bedtime to get ready for day at MK. Great first day!!

I'm so glad you decided to post a trip report! We were also curious how our 2 1/2 year old was going to react to characters in March but like yours our DD did AWESOME! Isn't it the best feeling to see their little faces light up! :love:
