Well, for the past 2 months now, I have promised my sister that we would go see the Grand Floridian, and see the Wedding Pavillion since her and her bf are talking of getting married there in 2 years. Things have been crazy and we never got a chance to go, we kept cancelling. So this was *the* day that we were going to go. We got everything together, got my ds stuff together so that her bf could watch him, and out the door we go. We are so ready for a sisters/girls day out at Disney!


Bagel and creamcheese in hand, purse, camera and BIG glass of ice water in hand i head out to her car and BOOM i'm on the ground. OUCH!!:nooo: I've fallen and I can't get up:bandit I've twisted my ankle really bad, and cut my other knee up so bad i tore a whole in the pants(my fav pants by the way). After I"m done crying hysterically because i thought I broke my foot, my mom and my sis bf help me up and inside. I say "ok,i need to borrow a pair of pants, we're still going to Disney!":whistle: Who was i kidding, i could barely walk. But we stopped by my house, and by our local drug store to get a brace for my foot, and off we go. (Of course a change of shoes was in order here...let me tell you I was "stylin" in the capris and tennis shoes:laugh )

We hit rain on the way up, but we were lucky that everytime we had to be out side, the rain stopped! Then as we headed back in, it started to rain again!:D (except as we were leaving)

We had such a great time, even w/my foot and knee throbbing the whole time. They wouldn't let us park at the Contemporary to "look around to see if we want to stay there" the security guard laughed at us and sent us on our way:devil Of couse, being known as the "disney expert" in my family, this was quite embarrassing, just as bad as falling and all from earlier this morning!:madmad

So we drove and parked in visitors parking at the GF, and walked a ways (or hobbled in my case) all the long way to get inside. My sister was in awe!! She loved it there!! The same lady is always greeting you at the Tea and Garden room at the GF, and she's usually mean:p to my friend and I. (ok, we never make a ps there, so maybe that's why???) But this time I hobbled right up there and gave my sob story, and she....smilled:D and said sure honey, we can fit you two in!! Yeah, Pixie Dust on us!!

Oh, of course we shopped before then in the shop up stairs, and my sister found (in the kid sections ) a princess crown where you can decorate/add jewels and princess pictured jewels and even a vail. So of course she made herself one. (i'll post a pic of it) It was really cute and princess' of all ages will enjoy this one!!

After tea, we wanted to see the Poly. I have never gone inside here before!! We really thought it was nice!! We looked around, and of couse i wanted to find Ohana's! We took some pictures here, and because my foot was really hurting, we took the monorail back to the GF.

We left the GF, and tried to go to DTD, but it was raining so bad we headed back out to I-4. It was raining so hard we couldn't see, so my sister who was driving decided to stop on I92 to have dinner. We got to Bennigans, and after a ton of silly laughter and trying to run in the down pour, we finally make it inside..LOL:laugh

After a yummy dinner, we headed back home w/dreams of DIsney Wedding at the Pavillion and a stay at the GF. We have lots of time to plan, and we plan on having lots of fun doing it.

So even though we didn't go to a single park, we had a very fun filled Disney Day!! IT was awsome!!

Oh, to top it off, (i posted this in another thread) my sis bf may now be deciding to propose to her at Disney. ( we had things planned before there, but he wanted to take her on a cruise, now that is looking too expensive so he may do it at Disney!) So they may be staying at the GF for a weekend and he may propose at dinner at Cindy's Castle if i can get them in!!

He's asking for my help, becuase he knows i know alot about Disney, and anything i don't know...he knows i can ask you guys!!:)

I'll post some pictures after they download. Oh, and Parkhopper, I saw the signs all around for the Magical Gatherings too. I even took a picture to post. And I also took the picture of the Mickey Ears power line!!:)

Thanks for sharing my crazy day at Disney. By the way, my sis and i plan on making this something we do every 2 months or so! Tea at the GF and looking at different resorts!! Yeah!:)

Oh, Heather! You poor thing! Ouch!! I'd do exactly the same thing...pain never seems as bad when you are at WDW!!

The wedding planning sounds like so much fun! Keep us posted!

:hmmm My ankle...well it's still throbbing. I have it propped up as i'm reading DC and typing. I keep saying, well ya know since my ankle hurts, i just really can't hobble around and clean and do laundry...LOL then I think i did it all day yesterday, and it's time to put up the halloween decorations today...LOL We'll see how much of it really gets done!

I know, i'm so excited for them. It's like *my* dream to do all that there, but since I'm still waiting for my Prince, the next best thing is to help them plan!!

I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on the propsal and the wedding!! THe reservation is for 11/1-11/3!! So we'll see if he decides to ask her then and there!!

......Still waiting on the pictures to download...LOL Dial up is *so* much fun! :whistle:

Jessie, they wouldn't let us park there. They said they were "full" and that we'd have to park somewhere else and take the monorail there if we wanted to see what the contemporary looked like. That "jerk" just laughed at us and really gave us a bad attitude. First time i've ever come across that. They may have had some problems earlier in the day becuase the lot was way more full than i've ever seen it. So maybe people were parking there and sneaking over to the MK. I don't know...from all I have heard, the parks are really slow right now, so I dont' know what the big deal was anyways!

I feel for ya Heather... I think it was about 3 weeks ago, I fell while walking... twisted my left ankle and busted my right knee up real good. (Sound familiar?) Never felt more graceful in my entire life... LOL! ;) Anyway, hopefully, it won't take long for you to be as good as new.

I LOVED the princess tiara... how cool. I've never seen them before. Your sister will make a beautiful bride. Thanks for sharing your day with us...
