Have you ever been so happy yet so sad! :) :(

We returned from Disney on Saturday (Oct 18th) and we had an awesome awesome time! So much Disney magic that I can't wait to post the trip reports! However, we did have some agrivating times and I will propably hold off on sharing them only because it was a wonderful vacation and I don't want to tarnish the good times!!! So I will find a place to vent about that somewhere else! But, let me say that Disney had NOTHING to do with the agrivations that we faced...in-laws 'nough said... :devil :cry:

Most of the Disney Magic that we experienced was because of DC, seriously! I will explain in the trip report! Thanks DC! :love:

Anyway… I missed you guys and I hope you are looking forward to a trip report and PICTURES!!! :D

Welcome back, I am glad you had a great time. I can't wait to read your trip report. I went to WDW with my in-laws in July, I know how that can be. Mine were great and we had no problems but they went with us so they didn't have to make any decisions, just be lead around all week.

Hurry up with that trip report!!!

We came back on the 18th too...had an awesome time as well, but we had in-laws there with us as well...grrrrr :(

My trip report will be coming too...but laundry has to take priority!!

Rengland, I am so glad you had a magical time!!! WELCOME HOME!!! At least you can come to DC to cure your PDD...and you can start planning your NEXT WDW adventure!!!!

Day 1

We woke up at 2:30 AM… Brooke (DD) woke up with NO prompting… YIKES… Long day for her! We arrived at the Dayton International Airport at 4:45 AM . We were checking in and I asked where Brooke’s disposable camera was, it was in the checked baggage!! We searched but could not find the camera… there goes $6.00 we will have to get another in Orlando. We got to the gate and Brooke was excited about flying until Dad (that's me!) had to go and mention that her ears would “pop,” trying to help her not be afraid when it happened, of course we had two different definitions of what “popping ears!” were!! Brooke thought her ears were going to blow off her head! I had to carry Brooke onto the plane she was very upset and scared, I felt bad and finally Brooke calmed thanks to a very kind man in back of us asking Brooke all about her up coming vacation. Well weather her ears were coming off or not Brooke was not going to turn down an opportunity to talk with a family with children and about Mickey Mouse. The Disney Magic had already begun. We were in the air no less than 2 minutes and Brooke proclaimed that she loved to fly!! We were on our way to Orlando FL home of Mickey Mouse and the Magic Kingdom. We landed in Orlando FL at 10:00 AM… long taxi line for take off in Atlanta or we would have been here sooner!

We arrived at the airport and walked into a wonderland at the airport… DD loved the Disney store and the stores for Universal and Sea World. We were all excited to finally be in Orlando!! We took our time and called the car rental company to come and pick us up… very prompt service (Eagle Car Rental). We checked in to get our car… the car was a compact so we could not expect much. We pulled out and we were on our way! Then we stopped… metal on metal…NO WAY I can’t put my family at risk… we took the car back and they upgraded us for free of charge! Now off to the hotel However, our hotel was not quite ready for us to be there. While I was in the hotel Kim (SIL) called and said that they were going to come tonight??? and see if we could get them a room, we were able to!!! So we then drove around a little bit and had lunch at Pizza Hut… Brooke could not help herself she was not up to a lunch out… she was exhausted… we called the hotel and they made it possible for us to check in… While Brooke and Melissa rested, I went to check out Downtown Disney to pick up a few surprises for Brooke!! She had to have her Guest of Honor Badge (I can't recommend this enough!!) and her Autograph Book with Big Pen! For the BIG SURPRISE tonight… Chef Mickey!!! I could not believe my eyes!!! I was overwhelmed all the pictures in the world could not prepare me for all of the activities and just the overall Magic of Downtown Disney! I can’t wait to see Brooke’s face when she enters the Kingdom!!

I came back and rested, Melissa wanted to see DTD, no twisting my arm we were off to DTD and Chef Mickey! We left DTD to go to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey… Disney needs to improve their signs after a tour of WDW Parking lot we finally made it to Chef Mickey! Oh, I almost forgot at the gate because the Halloween Party was going on we got LOTS of candy… nice surprise!! We were ready for some Disney Magic… Well… it happened at Chef Mickey! First Brooke saw the top of “the Castle” for the very first time and just went wild… then she saw Minnie…then Donald Duck then Pinocchio, then Chip, then Dale, then MICKEY… That was at the Podium! What a night… words will never describe the time that we had at Chef Mickey, but I will try! We had our family picture taken which came out very well I might add, but we did not purchase, so sad! So while we were waiting we had fun with Pinocchio and Donald Duck! Donald was having some fun with Melissa (DW) because she could not stop laughing at him! I think Brooke may have eaten a total of 10 bites! She was sooooo excited, this made all the planning, fretting, and budgeting worth every minute of it… Then when Brooke was not expecting it Goofy came up picked her up gave her a big hug and drew a special picture in her autograph book!!!! How incredible is that!! Only bummer I missed it I was off getting Ice Cream!! Minnie came at the end and gave Brooke more individual attention, then Mickey and Gooffy had more fun with Brooke… NOTHING could have made this day more special… She was sooooo thrilled, this made all the planning, fretting, and budgeting worth every minute of it…

AirTran did not offer “wings” to daughter. :(

I’m not a better writer to convey the experience!:whistle:

Suggestions:
Ask for the main dinning room at Chef Mickey… we were seated in the back and even though we had a lot of attention we missed some of the shenanigans of the characters. Not to fret we just went and watched, but would have been more enjoyable to watch from our seats!
*Don’t tell your Daughter/Son about the “popping” just let them experience it then tell them what is happening!:dazed

Edited Insert:
I forgot to tell you that Mickey's nose does move!!! I was like a kid in a candy shop...remember my first trip in 1976 I did not see Mickey at all... then he moved his nose for my daughter!!! He does not do this often so mention it "quitetly" and he does it!!! SOOOO COOL!!!
