A fantastic trip!

Our journey began at 3:30 a.m. as we pulled out of our Ala. driveway and headed out! 8 long hours later we were headed into CSR! I was so excited to finally be staying at Disney! The resort was breathtaking! Cowboy Mickey I did just as you said. I walked in, not looking up until the right time! The dome was...no words can describe it. The lights reflecting in the middle looked like candles. The line to check in was long but there were plenty of CM at work so it only took about 15 min. Our room wasn't ready so we took our "magic keys" and went to the Boardwalk. First time here and it was beautiful too. We took the boat to Epcot and went straight to Test Track and Mission Space. There was almost no line so in we went. MS was awesome, when you are blasting up was an unbelievable feeling, a little nauseous but I can overlook that for the experience! We strolled around the Worlds for a while and then back to Boardwalk. We were going to watch the big game at ESPN but it had a mile long wait. We went back to CSR. We got in our Rancho 7A (recommended by one of my fellow DC friends) There was no problem with the room. DH watched the game but I strolled the resort. I layed in the hammock and dipped in the hot tub! The dig site is a must see, the pyramid is so impressive! It was so wonderful I could imagine myself in a totally different world, which it was! Many have said the CSR is too spread out, I thought it only added to the feeling the resort was trying to convey. Everything matched the theme and every detail was great. After a successful conclusion to the football game DH and I took a final stroll around the resort and went to bed! Tomorrow back to Epcot!

Sounds like a great day! I have seen CowboyMickeys pictures that he posted and CSR is beautiful.

So you felt a bit sick on Mission Space - during or after the ride?
I am really looing forward to checking that attraction out.

Looking forward to the rest of your trip report!

The first time I rode it I took Dramamine before we rode and I only felt a little bit disoriented when I got off. The next time I didn't take it and I felt some queasiness during the ride and for a little while afterwards. Not enough to keep me off of it though! It is a don't miss for sure!

Day 2-Full Speed Ahead

We went to Epcot because I had heard rumors of millions of school groups heading toward Epcot during the week. It was not crowded and the temps were in the mid 80's. We went straight to FT and MS and rode quickly. Next, we went to the Land for breakfast, the ride, and Food Rocks. I love FR and it amazes me how people pass it by. When we got off the Land ride they were telling people to go straight into FR but few did. It is upbeat and the lyrics are inventive. We went to the Lion King movie where I had to explain to DH who the characters were (can you imagine that?) We went to the Imagination Pavillion said Hi to Figment and screamed at the snake in HISTA for about the 10th time! Went to Ice Station Cool but couldn't trick DH into drinking the Beverly. Then it was time to head to Canada to hear Off Kilter. They were a blast and we loved their music. Watched the movies in Canada and France for the first time in many years. Of course I had to have a French pastry. By the time we stopped to see Am. Adventure and in Italy to watch the hilarious human statue it was time to eat in Mexico. The food was great and very filling. We then rode Malestrom and it was the longest wait of the day, about 30 min. Then back to Furture World and to Body Wars, The Making of Me and Cranium Command (first time for this, don't know how I have missed it...so funny!)
World of Energy was down so took one more trip through SSE and then it was back for relaxation at the CSR!
:) :D

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

So, this Mission Space----I get motion sick really easily (I can turn around too fast and get woozy :nervous ). Is it one of those rides that if you close your eyes you don't even know what is going on? Cause I can take Body Wars & Star Wars (I just close my eyes and don't think about it). From what I have seen online, they put you in a seat that secures you over your shoulders....do you go upside down? I am skeered :nooo: !

Keep the updates coming!
:) :) :) :) :)

Heather, I get motion sickness fairly easy too. No you don't go upside down. You do spin around very fast but you don't really realize it because you are in a little control booth watching a screen. I think that is only happening during the lift off portion of the ride. I suggest you buy some Dramimine and take it about an hour before you ride. You should at least give it a try. You may never want to ride again, but you will have experienced the closest thing you will to a lift off. I heard an astronaut interview on Disney TV and he said it was very close! But, I wouldn't try it without taking the Dramimine or it might ruin your day. :dazed
