Just returned late, late Tues night
We were at WDW 4 days, 3 nights. Stayed at the All Star Sports, football section this time. It was so much closer to the front doors than when we stayed in the Hoops Hotel!
This was a great time to go. We never waited more than a few minutes for Disney transportation and we never had to 'stand' on any of the buses. 1st day - Got to the airport at 4:30a.m. for a 5:50 flight only to find out our flight had been cancelled! :madmad Yes, I'd checked the night before and everything was a go so this really put a damper on the beginning of our trip. After quite a go 'round they found us a flight on another airline and we were able to make it to Orlando only a couple hours later than we had planned. However, we won't be using the original airline again. This was the 2nd time we've experienced flight cancellations that took places AFTER we left for the airport. While we were on the ground at DFW I was able to contact Tiffany Towncar Service and explain we needed a later pickup. I know they probably deal with things like this everyday but they were just so kind and understanding when I reached them. After arriving in Orlando we made a quick grocery stop and then onto the resort. I'd requested a king bed in the football section and it was available so we were checked in in no time and was off to Epcot. We went straight to World Showcase and did a few things before getting in line for the Candlelight Processional. It was very cool that evening (Sat), but that was fine. I'd just expected it to be a little warmer. The music and choir were fabulous! Andy Garcia was the guest celeb. I was really excited to see him but was a little disappointed in his reading. I just think the reading of the Nativity story should be a little more solemn event and he was joking around some. JMHO. After that we shopped some to try and kill some time so we could see Illuminations. But the breeze coming off the water was rather cool and we were rather tired so we decided to skip Illuminations and head back to our room about 8:30. Day 2 - We went to MGM and just kind of enjoyed that morning. Got pictures with some of the characters and I was excited to see the Green Army Men out signing autographs and taking photos. They did the cutest "show" before starting the session. Got that on video. Did the Backlot Tour, ate at Prime Time 50's, bought some Christmas gifts, then headed back to the resort to get ready for MVMCP. Decided I should wear a sweatshirt due to the cooler weather the night before. Naturally, it turned out not to be quite as cool on Sun evening. Had a wonderful dinner at the Crystal Palace and was inside the park before the party started. Had our picture made in Tomorrowland, then went to find out where to get one of the pins. Someone in the picture line said they'd gotten theirs as they came in at the front gate. I asked a CM at the picture station and they said we should be able to get the pins at the front. Walked to the front and was told we should have gotten them at the picture station. An extrememly nice CM called and found out the stations had JUST received the pins. She said we could go to any station and they'd give us ours. I kind of hesitated - after all, we'd already had our picture made - so she said she'd go with us. She got us our pins and a couple of extra for our grandsons back home. That was VERY nice of her. Then we headed off to ride a few rides. Caught the Christmas parade. The tin soldiers were my favorite part. After cookies and hot chocolate (I wish they'd been giving that out the night before at Epcot!) we bought some more gifts, saw the show at the castle, then called it a night, leaving about 10:30. 3rd day - Went back to MK in the a.m. I had a couple of things I wanted to purchase and also wanted to see Mickey's Philharmagic. Got caught up in doing things and didn't leave the park until after 12 noon. Made our way to Animal Kingdom, walked around and enjoyed the scenery all the while taking pictures. Had lunch at Tusker House (we love the chicken!) and found a place to sit for the parade. That parade is so WONDERFUL! Made our way out, caught a bus back to the resort, changed clothes and headed for DTD. Bought a picture album for the many pictures I was taking and had dinner at Planet Hollywood. Back in the room I had to start packing and was up very late trying to figure out how to get all our purchases packed safely. Final Day - Got up early, headed to Epcot for the Storybook Princess Breakfast. We were just 2 adults but had so much fun watching all the families with their little princesses. Of course we took pictures with the princesses (Snow White, Belle, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mary Poppins). Then off to ride Mission: Space. What a thrill that was! As far as we're concerned it's the BEST ride in ANY of the parks!!!!!! Test Track was next, then we rode the boat around the lake. Caught the Disney Characters on Christmas Holiday and time for more pictures. I didn't get one with Mickey but I did manage one with Captain Hook (and Smee). Captain Hook was SO handsome in his Christmas attire. He may be a villian, but my oh my, how handsome!!! Did a little more shopping. My husband wanted to buy me a license plate frame which kind of surprised me. Then he admitted he wanted to get me one so he could have his Nascar frame back for his new truck. The only one we could find said, "Been there, done that, going back". I said that might not be so appropriate since I'll probably never get back to WDW. He said, "Well, maybe in a couple of years we can come back." WOW!! I may get to go again - YEA! The airport was crowded but everything went smoothly and we got home about 12:30a.m. My how time flies when you're having fun! Now I'll just keep coming to Disney Central until that next trip materializes. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Hailey, Thanks for the pixie dust! Maybe that will help.
Something I forgot to mention - The 75 Years of Mickey statues are INCREDIBLE! For those going between now and April, plan time so you can look at each and everyone of them. They are so neat. I thought they'd be in different spots around the park but they were right out front.

Sorry, no blow up of Stitch or any other character. Maybe they'll put it up later?

Your trip report is just what I needed to get me through this last day of work this week. Obviously, I am not being very productive. :nervous I only have a few days until I leave and I am worried now about the flight since my early departure time is about the same as yours was and I fly through DFW! :nooo: I do have some flexibility since I am flying alone and my DD will be the one picking me up at the airport. Even with that....I don't want to miss one minute of time down there!!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful report.

Huakai, You'll have a WONDERFUL time. Although I'm sure your flight won't be cancelled like ours was, I'm sending along some pixie dust just to make sure.
As you can see from my avatar, Hook and Smee, as well as all the other characters, are in the Holiday Spirit. Looking forward to reading your trip report when you get back. ******pixie dust*******pixie dust*******pixie dust******

Debby, I really enjoyed your report. I have wondered about going to the Princess Breakfast but since we are like you, just the two of us, we haven't . Now I really want too. I am like you, just waiting for the next trip. I was hoping it would be New Year's but my football team had a down year and didn't make it back to the Capitol One Bowl game. Thanks for sharing!!:D
