Friday December 5th

I woke up feeling kinda sick today(sinus problems), but there was NO way i was not going. We got on the road around 10am and got to All Star Sports around 11:30am. Got checked in and was told the room was not ready, but I told her we weren't feeling very good and were going to the party that night, and she called and found us a room!! Yeah!!:D We get upacked and bring lunch to our room and rest.

I get a call on my cell phone from Tiggerlover1971(CHeryl). So we go down to the lobby and meet her and her husband!! They were both really nice and I had a great time talking with them. We also got a picture of us in front of the tree!! We made plans to meet up at Epcot for the CP tomorrow night.

I wasn't feeling well still so we go back and sleep for another hr or so. We got up and ready for MVMCP!!! We have been waiting for this for the last 6 months and we are so happy to be here!!

As we head out we notice Pal MIckey isn't working...he needs new batteries. We go to the gift shop and the nice CM finds a screw driver and after buying some batteries we have a well charged up Pal Mickey and we walk out to a bus waiting for us to take us to the Magic Kingdom!!! We saw the 75 mickey statues out front (you dont' even have to enter the MK to see them!) and took a few pictures of them.

We have a PS at 5:20pm at LTT, and we are in the park by 4:30. We take a few pictures and head to LTT. We check in at 4:45 and they seat us in just a few minutes. Just like i figured, my ds would not eat anything brought to us, so our server did bring him some chicken strips and fries and grapes! I enjoyed the meal, but had thought the characters would be dressed in Christmas outfits.

We were done in an hour, and headed on our way. We wanted to do our pictures first, but they said they would not open in that area until 7pm. So we headed onto Tomorrow land, and got in line for our free pictures. They started the pictures in this area around 530-600pm.It only took about 10-15 minutes, and it was just 615pm when we were done! We went shopping for MVMCP shirts and merchandise at Mickey's Star Traders (they were out of adults stuff already so i had to go to main street shops after s7pm to get mine!) We rode the TTA and Buzz light year twice! The first time there was NO wait, 2nd time about a 5 minute wait!

We then went to watch 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, our favorite show!! It was just as good as we remembered it. After the show we walked to Main Street to shop and then to Adventure land. (We skipped the 1st parade in hopes that the 2nd one wouldn't be as crowded!) We rode the Jungle Cruise and Aladdin's Carpet ride. Then went shopping in the Christmas store for my ornament exchange gift!! We saw the end of the parade and headed to Fantasy Land.

We went on it's a small world w/only a few minutes wait. As we are headed into the first part of the ride I realize it's only 10 minutes until Wishes:nooo: Then the boats all collide and we are stuck at times we get out just in time and stand in front the Carosel ride. I loved the fireworks and being able to see them from *inside* the park. It was still very hard to hear what was being said and the music because soem of the fireworks were coming from *right* there. (I suggest trying to see Wishes from the Poly or GF beaches at least once. You can get the "big" picture much better than being in the middle of it!!)

After that we headed to Toon Town! I was dissapointed to see Mickey's was closed(not the house but the area to meet him) We see Donald and follow him to where he was doing pictures! He was dressed in holliday gear!!:D Then we head to the big area (don't know the name) where the princess' and pooh and friends usually are, and heard the MIckey and Minnie, Chip and dale, pluto and cinderella and the Fairygodmother were all there and you only had to wait in ONE line!! Mickey and the Gang were all in holiday dress!! We had such a great time here!!

After this we were tired so we get in line to get our free cookies and hot chocolate and went to find a spot for the 2nd parade. It was 10pm and the parade was scheduled for 1045pm. Main Street was already full! I found *one* spot between two familes and asked if they minded if we fit in there. I had my ds sit on the curb, and i sat behind him(there was a nice comfy post to rest my back on, too!) Both families were really nice and we had a great conversation while waiting of the parade. 2 highschool marching bands came before the parade.

Then....I finally see snow!! (they do the snow on main street as you walk in at 7pm..but we had been in since 430pm. then it snows during the parades and as you are leaving) Ok, so after awhile the snow got *really* annoying because it is soap and it is floating right in the direction you need to look to see the parade. I inhaled quite a bit of "snow" up my nose while trying to see the parade...HAHA:laugh We loved the parade and the few changes since 2001!!

After the parade we went to the castle (it was kinda hard to get there because a huge mass of people were trying to get *out* of the park at this time!) We got a nice spot to watch the midnight Castle show. While waiting for the show, there was nice christmas music playing and at times the castle was lighting up in time with the music! There was even lighted up snowflakes on the castle. I tried to get a good shot of that to show you guys!!

After the show it was time to leave! We got out and did get on the first bus back to the resort. I had to stand buy my ds did get to sit! We got back around 115am! Boy were we tired!!

All in all, this was our best time at Diney this weekend!! I am so glad we got to go to the party!! I plan on going again next year!!!!!!! Anyone who has the chance, I say this is really worth the money to go!

Saturday December 6th

We wake up around 8am and are VERY tired from last night. We head back to the MK to see the taping of the parade and to look at our pictures that were taken last night. (I found out they keep them in the system for 3 days. So if you dont want to wait in long lines later in the evenign and have the chance, go back in the morning to veiw them ,as most of the new pictures taken that day aren't ready to view yet! We were the only ones in there at that time.) We were too late to get a spot to be part of the parade:cry: and i really wanted to do this at least for a little bit. Oh well, we rode a few rides and then headed back to rest at the resort since we were both tired and cranky!:whistle:

We got lunch and brought it to our room and after resting headed to Epcot to play around a bit and meet up at the CP with fellow DC'ers. We did figment, Living with the land and Circle of Life. We then headed to World SHowcase. We saw Santa Claus from Canada and listened to him for a few minutes. We stopped off at England to see Pooh and Tigger, and saw Santa Claus in France. We take a break since my ankle is swelling up pretty bad ( from my fall a little over a month ago, all this walking is really bothering it even though i'm wearing the brace!)

I'm walking along now looking for the Disney Central hat and a group of blue ribbons in the line at CP. I was directed to the other side for the stand by line. I hear someone calling my name, but can't see who it is. Finally Cheryl(tiggerlover1971) jumps out of line and finds us. We got in line with them (thank goodness cause there was still a looooong way to go to the end of the line, we wouldhave never made it in.) We chatted in line and kept a look out for anyone from DC. We told each other what our time at Disney had been like that week and she told me about the MouseFest she had been to earlier in the day. We finally got seated in the back and the view wasn't really the best, but it was good cause we were *sitting* haha. I thought it was really nice, although it was soooooo cold at this time and we were sitting on a metal bench. I pulled out the mittens and extra jackets to put on our legs and gave one to cheryl. we were so cold!

Afterwards we set out to get hot chocolate and to meet up with everyone. I got to meet Michaholic and her mother, and roncss and his wife, and turnrwrench(scott) and his wife.And of course tiggerlover1971 and her husband were there too. We took our group shot and talked for a bit. We decided to head out then with cheryl and her husband since they were very kind to offer us a ride back to the resort (we were both staying at All Star Sports). We were so lucky not to have to wait in the cold for a bus and we got to ride in a heated comfy car!! Thanks again Cheryl for the offer!!! We were going to eat together in the food court, but i noticed my son looking pale and sick. Sure enough after they dropped us off out front we barely made it to the room before he got sick and sick and sick again. He had a migrane, all the walking and excitement finally got to him:cry:

I still hadn't ate since 1130am and was feeling sick from that.(it was 730 pm by now) I was afraid to leave my ds alone while he was sick, so i sucked it up and ordered room service:bandit $23.00 later for a turkey sub (not fresh by the way, one you could pick up out of the fridge in the food court and pretty small) and a chef's salad thats home in my fridge yet to be eaten and a coke and chips, i guess it was worth it. I needed to eat, but learned my lesson. Oh well, it was kinda nice not to have to walk back down there and just chill out and eat once my son was sleeping!

Today wasn't the best of days at disney. But a bad day at disney is 100 times better than a good day at home/work! Haha

Really though, the best part about it was meeting fellow DC'ers and spending time with Cheryl and her husband!! Everyone was really nice and I'm glad I got the chance to meet them!!:D :) Now I have faces to put with names!!!

Sorry to hear you and your DS had a rough weekend with being sick on anf off, but am so glad you got to meet up with fellow DCers. I cannot wait to see the pictures. Did anyone run into roncss and his wife do you know? I know he was going to try and make it there. I cannot wait to see the photos.

Sunday December 7th (last day)

Well, today is our last day:cry: And we are NOT ready to go home yet! haha. Ds wakes up feeling 100% better thankgoodness! We go about packing up(ok, *i* go about packing up) and then load up the truck. Mousekeeping knocked on our door at 9am and was about to enter as i'm yelling "wait, please wait" since i was half dressed! She knocked next door too just wondering when we were checking out I told her we would be out around 930-10am. We ended up leaving just a few minutes after she knocked on the door. We had a PS at Chef Mickey's for Breakfast at 10am.

We drove over and got there around 940am. They checked us in early and we were seating in just a few minutes. We got our yummy food and waited for the characters to come around. My ds wasn't that hungry and just mostly ate a banana, 2 bisquits and quite a few of the triangle shaped tater tots(or whatever they are called!). I wasn't that hungry either and just ate a few bites of my fav things. We still had a great time waving our napkins to the Celebrate song!!!:) :D

After breakfast we did some shopping. I sent my ds over to one corner while i snuck some things inside my jacket(i sure hope they didnt' think i was trying to steal anything!) and snuck to the cash register to buy him some stocking stuffers!! He had a hard time trying to figure out what to spend his money one. He really wanted a goofy hat but it would have taken all his money. Now I'm kicking myself for not sneaking and buying that too!:( Oh well, next time we'll get it.

After that we realized if we left right then, we'd make it home in time for the Buc's game at 1pm. So, we took our purchases and slowly made our way out to the car. We always hate to leave, especially if we don't have another trip planned. I know we can drive up for the day, but we really love being able to stay over for a day or two.

We made it home and i headed straight for the computer to start downloading our pictures(with dial up it will take *5 hours* to do:nooo: ) And to post my trip report since I won't have time during the week. It's also a *really* good excuse to not unpack and do laundry:laugh

Thanks for letting me share my holiday Disney trip with you guys! I had such a good time! The best time of course was MVMCP!! It was just perfect the whole time. We didn't feel rushed to do anything, yet we were able to do *everything* that we wanted to do. Oh, also I was told that Dec 5th's party (the one we went to ) was sold out. The only time the crowds were bad was when the parades were over. Other than that, we never noticed it being *too crowded*. We didn't have long waits on any of the rides, most were walk ons. I already can't wait until next year to go!!!:laugh

I'm so glad you WERE able to share it with us too. Just think, you're an hour and a half away with no trip planned for the future... I'm over a *thousand* miles away with no trip planned. I can't *wait* for your pics!

MM...sure *now* you tell me. I think it would take less time to burn them to cd, mail them to you and have you download them than it is taking for me to download them! LOL

Only an hour left until they are downloaded!! Haha.

I am *so* ready to scrapbook them now!!! I bought the christmas 12x12 album and also the disney pages and sticker pack, I have all the christmas stickers and disney holiday stickers. Now to find the time!! (oh yeah, and to wait until the pictures are finshed DOWNLOADING so i can order them!

Heather, how lucky you are to be withing a days drive! Your trip sounded extra magical and I would love to make the Christmas Party. We were there during the Halloween Party but did not go to it. I think I would really like the Christmas one. I am sorry you didn't feel well but I am sure your location helped! Waiting on the pictures!:D

Oh Heather... even with Brandon getting sick, it sounds like it was a GREAT trip... :) I definitely would like to get to the MVMCP one day... maybe the next Meet & Greet can be around Christmas??? Just a thought... :whistle:

Oh man!!! You bought the Christmas scrapbook stuff!!?? I ***SO*** wanted to get that, but with my surgery and Christmas and my car getting crunched and our snowblower dying I just didn't. :(

It was an impulse buy...i really really really shouldn't have bought them, but if i just eat mac n cheese for the next few weeks and pb&j sandwiches for lunch..we'll be just fine, really!!:whistle:
