The M&G through the eyes of the rubber chicken

Friday the 13th...An unlucky day for many...a nearly deadly day for me.:nooo: I had recently "flown the coup" as they say and freed myself from the netting left on old Discovery Island. Hooray, I'm free, free at last...however I had no sooner escaped when I was struck head on by a monorail to the POLY!:nooo: When the vehicle stopped I unruffled my feathers and snuck into the POLY with the rest of the disembarking passengers.:whistle:

I was really enjoying the tropical ambience of this resort when I felt a "death grip" around my neck!

It was a large man in a chef's hat...he smiled at me...a smile that made me shutter with dread...I almost laid an egg in the Tambu Lounge!:bandit

He brought me to the kitchen of Ohana and pulled out a long SKEWER:!: I have never been so terrified! Just as the chef was about to "skewer me" a loud commotion came bounding through the dining rom...glasses were breaking, leis were flying...it was a large group of hibiscus wearing lunatics! I saw the Chef was distracted by this calamity of people and I took this opportunity to escape! I was almost out of the restaurant when this group of crazies spotted me and grabbed me!:nervous

They wrapped a lei around my neck and fed me a large drink in a pineapple... I was feeling fine!

Hey these people aren't so bad...and they are very sympathetic to a chicken in a restaurant surrounded by skewered meats. Maybe that's why they dubbed me..."THE OFFICIAL MASCOT of the First Disney Central Meet and Greet"? I don't know what that means but they seem like nice enough people and they know how to show a chicken the respect it deserves!

They included me in their friendly group and even asked me to be in their pictures! Well we left the POLY (without a skewer in my ***) and headed back to POP Century the hotel of choice of these Meet & Greeters.

I met up with DisneyAnne, Amy, Maria, and Joe in the "Classic Concoctions Lounge"....boy we laughed a lot! We LOL, we ROTFLOL, I LMCAO..(the C stands for chicken ;) ) First we drank a "lava lamp" and then we moved on to the "twist and shout"....
I guess the excitement of the day started to catch up with me...I was feeling a little woozy.:weird: DisneyAnne really wanted to go to P.I. but I needed to fly the coup and get some shut-eye.

It's all a bit blurry to me and I'm not able to post any pics...I think Joe, and Kim, and Amy and Laura may have some of my adventures on film...don't post any embarrassing ones okay dudes?:p

That's the chicken report...day 2 to follow...

Amy that's a riot. I'm sitting here laughing my little chicken neck off. Thanks for the laugh. I can't wait for his further adventures.

I sure hope he doesn't cause an international incident in Europe. Are you guys sure Spicey Joe can handle that chicken???

Oh my gosh Amy!!! I am laughing so hard I am almost peeing my pants!!!!!!! (at 8 mths preggo, bladder control is not my best quality to begin with!!)

I am with Kim I am glad I voted for the chicken...i hope he goes to the next M&G...maybe i can buy him a drink....:whistle:

Sounds like you had a great trip thus far. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your adventure. I think the chicken should be mailed to and adopted by a DC family for each trip. We can take pictures with him every where... What do you all think?

OMG!!!! Dana-that's a great idea!!! My DD school does something like that with a teddy bear, and they have pictures of him from all around the country!! That would be so funny!!! And a great conversation piece to "recruit" new members!!;)
