Weeeell posting about your Disney trips seems to be the latest trend around DC so....lets a-go! :D

Our flight (me and my friend Jody) left Monday at 8:30 pm :nooo: but that's what I get for waiting till the last minute to travel during spring break. Waiting at the airport is well...about as fun as having ants in your pants, so we'll skip all that. We got a town car from Mears (wheee!) and it was nice to see our names on a sign and have someone take our bags for us. We got to the Hilton at Lake Buena Vista around 2 am...needless to say we went right to sleep. (We got a suite room though...sweeeeeet!)

Tuesday: we woke up around 8:45 since we needed all the sleep we could get. We ate our own breakfast, both of us brought our own food (breakfast bars and such) and Jody even brought Easy Mac! Too bad we didn't have a Microwave. Anyway, got to Disney-MGM Studios around 10:30 am. I swear, the parks were NOT that crowded this time last year!! Too many annoying high school groups. :whistle: We did Tower of Terror first, waited for an hour and a half but it was worth it. Then Muppet Vision 3-D, Star Tours, then a break for popcorn and soda, people-watching outside the ABC theatre. Then to the Great Movie Ride (yaaaay they didn't change anything!!) We looked at the handprints beforehand and I never really did that. Jody got to put her hands in the handprints of actress goddess Audrey Hepburn (her IDOL!!) I think that was the highlight of her trip. :D

Then off to see Mickey for a pic, then we did the Animation tour. I'm glad they still have that, but it's not the same anymore. I like Mushu but he got a little annoying, and the cast member "talking" with him looked pretty bored. We bypassed the drawing part because Jody wasn't too interested....I'm a pro at drawing Mickey anyway but now I wish we had done it! :cry: Lastly, we waited in a crazy long line for Rock n Roller Coaster but enjoyed it (the back is definitely faster!!) And finally we saw Fantasmic. I almost cried. :love: :love: :love: (Fantasmic nut.)

Wednesday: Magic Kingdom....still very crowded :dazed but the waiting times were shorter by a landslide. Got an earlier start to the day; got to park at 9:15 am, saw Belle on Main Street since she had just arrived and took a picture with no line! Then off to Fantasy Land, where, long story short, we did EVERYTHING there but Ariel's Grotto. I was HIGHLY impressed with "Mickey's Philharmagic"....didn't expect it to be done in 3D graphics as well and I think they pulled it off nicely. It's not Pixat but its not terrible either. That is my new favorite attraction in MK!! Both times we sat in the front because no one wanted to sit there. I love Donald Duck. :love: Then off to lunch at Plaza Pavilion where I used to work!! I didn't recognize ANYone behind the counter but one lady actually recognized me and gave me a hug. :love:

Then off to Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, and a visit to the Genie so I could get him to sign a postcard for a friend. Then we shopped for a bit, sat for a bit (my legs are sooo sore) then did Mickey and Minnie's house and Goofy's Barnstormer. And last but not least, Spectromagic!!! We left before the fireworks (i still haven't seen Wishes ):cry: but i could see them from the bus window.

Thursday: We woke up good and late, around 9 am, packed up our stuff since we had to check out at 11 am. Took some money and went shopping at Marketplace until 4, repacked our bags with our purchases and caught our Mears bus and headed home! Walked in the door at 2 am, was "rude" to mom by saying "let me sleep, I'll talk tomorrow" :p and that was that!

(Was it just me, or were there ALOT of grouchy guests?? Even working fast food there last year I never saw it this bad. Parents, kids, GRANDPARENTS were all terrible! So sad.... )

~Mickey's Philharmagic

~Seeing Jody light up whenever we recalled Audrey Hepburn's handprints

~Eating at my location and seeing Nora

~Seeing Fantasmic...with the Steamboat Willie finale!!

~Watching all the little kids strip and play in the water spouts in Market place.

Whew, that took a while to write. I'm hungry! Don't worry I'll get a link for pictures soon!

Great trip report and pictures Screever...just one question. We've been to WDW 3 times and have never seen the handprints/footprints at MGM!!! Where would we find those? Are we just in such a big hurry that we just walk right over them? or are they hidden??? Please help so that we can put it on our list of things to do on our next trip...whenever that may be. Whenever it is, it will not soon enough!!!

Just curious...Is there another version of the finale? I've only seen that one (which is wonderful!!) I'm with you on the crying...I caught myself tearing up lots of times!!:cry: :) :love:

For about a month (my last month) last year they nixed the steamboat willie and the characters said their goodbyes from base of the mountain. Dissapointing, but still good if you were seeing it for the first time.
