Magical Moments Trip Report

Hi!
We are home! (at WDW)
We left yesterday at 6pm and arrived today at 6pm. We stopped along the way for a total of about 4 hours.
Even with minimal sleep, I am wired and ready to go. We might head over to MK for dinner. Who knows.
I don't really care what we do. I could walk around the resort and smell the fresh air.
It is nice a breezy tonight, sweatshirts are needed. But it feels so good.
Check in was a so easy. I had about 2 people infront of me. All Star Sports upgraded us to Surf's Up so that was a nice surprise.
It doesn't seem crowded at this resort. Very comfortable.
Will write more later. I hope to be sending the magic feeling thru these reports.

I was pleasantly suprised to see that you had posted already.
My dh looked at how I packed for my mini get away to Tennessee and he questioned if I was heading further south to "greet the mouse" and hook up with you! I told him as much as I would like to...I was only going as far as Tenn. On our way home, Kim and Brandon are going to Mammoth Cave with us. That should be fun; but I really want a "dole whip", breakfast at the Crystal Palace, and oh, to see Illuminations again! I better stop myself or I might forget where I am supposed to be going tomorrow.

Last night we unpacked the car. Settled into our room. Then raced over to EPCOT to activate our AP, YEAH! We got there in time to see Illuminations, our fav show. IT was crowded however, we could see most of it. And the fireworks were awesome as usual. I took some pictures on my digital, will send them later.
Then we raced to the monorail to go to Downtown Disney for dinner. We took the monorail to the Poly resort. Then a bus to Downtown. One minor problem, our DD fell asleep (Gee wonder why)! So, once we got to Downtown, we decided to go back to AS Sports. We chowed at the food court there.
And went to our room and passed out! It was cool last night, we wore sweatshirts and jeans. Supposed to me high 70's by day and mid 50s at night.
Confirmed with CMs that MK is opened till midnight starting tomorrow night, for a week! Guess they're expecting a crowd as they state they have not been open this late for a long time!
Off to the MK!! I know we will ride Splash and Thunder Mountains, our DD favs.
More later. Have a great day!

Friday night, we slept like logs! We woke up early Saturday, however did not rush out of our rooms. We ate cereal in our rooms. We got to MK at 12 pm. It was great that we activated our AP Friday night at Epcot. The line Sat morning at Guest Services was long!
We went directly to the CP to see if we could eat there and got a reservation for 7:15pm That worked for getting out in time for Wished and SpectroMagic.
Our goal to day was for my DD to ride Space MOuntain for the first time. Would she or wouldn't she< that was the question. She wanted to go there first. The sign said 45 min, great we thought, however as we approached the sign changed to 105. We decided on a fast pass. We could return by 3:10 pm. So we walked on to Carousel of Progress, then went to Buzz Lightyear. Took us 35 mins to wait thru the line and ride Buzz. (I got the most points!!) Then we walked onto the TTA. My DD loves that ride. And she studies Space Mountain to prepare for it. (Still wants to do it at this time.) Then off to Astro Orbiter, took 35 mins to wait and ride that. It was a first for me. I thought I would enjoy the view however, it went so fast, I could get a good look as I was trying to look at something so I wouldn't get dizzy. It was worth it though!
We had about 1/2 hour to wait for our fast pass so we walked around and found the tea party characters. Got pictures and autographs.
Off to Space Mountain! Not only did my DD do it but she wanted the front seat if we were offered the front car. And she got it! She was a little nervous however, never said she changed her mind. And the verdict, she loved it! Now she is ready to RNR!!!
We left TomorrowLand, rode the train to Frontierland. Rode BTM, my DDs fav. Took about 55 mins to wait and ride that. Not bad at all! We wanted to do Splash but that line was way long as people were getting back from the parade. ANd the FP there would not work with dinner reservations.
After BTM, we saw GOofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree, walked into that. ANd then headed to Mickey's PhilharMagic, waited 25 mins. That was awesome!!! A must see!
Off to dinner which was great. We enjoy the CP! Then outside for WIshes. many people started leaving after the first Spectro Magic so we found a seat on Main Street, on the curb across from the Bakery. When wished started, we stood and watched from teh street. We thought the show was great! The color coordination of the fireworks to the the castle was awesome. THen Spectro Magic. Excellent view. Got some pictures, will try to send some later this week. Hopped a bus and came home.
Don't know what we are doing yet today. More later. Have a great day!

Hi
I am glad that my trip report is helping with some PDD! That is my goal...
AS Sports is filling up! It is getting crowded around here. The CMs are saying it has not been like this in quite a long time. I don't feel the crowd myself. I think Disney does such a good job of keeping things moving. ALso probably our choices have been lucky. For example, we went to Epcot today however, we were told by a CM that MK is wall to wall people today.
I am just so at peace here. WHatever happens, it's okay because I am here.
We got to Epcot about 11am. First stop, as usual, was Spaceship Earth. 15 min wait, didn't seem that long. It was strange to see an empty exit since AT&T pulled out. A CM said that they predict the attraction can stay open for about 2-3 years before the funding would run out. She did not hear about Hallmark coming there.
Went to Test Track. The FP return time was already at 8pm to 9pm. And the line was about 105 mins. So our plan is to get there early another day and get a FP which hopefully will be an earlier return.
We went to the Universe of Energy, no wait, one of my favs. Then to Mexico for lunch. We thought the food was okay to good however, do not plan to go back. Our favs are still UK, Italy and I like Japan, DH likes Germany. Rode the ride at Mexico, our boat wasn't even full.
Went to Honey I Shrunk the Audience, then Figment ride, the Living with the Land. THere was about a 45 min wait there however, we got a FP, left and came back.
Decided to come back to the resort so that DH and DD can swim. It is cool out but the pool is at 80-84 degrees.
Don't know the plans tonight. We are waiting for our neighbors to arrive.
My DD dressed as Sleeping Beauty today. She was looking for her but didn't find her.
Next trip we will schedule the princess character breakfast.
I collect pins and was excited to be able to purchase the 2004 AP pin.
More later...

Glad to read your update. Sorry to hear your dd was not able to run into Sleeping Beauty....perhaps she will before you return home. Princess character breakfast sounds like a great idea for to meet the princesses....

I love your comment about being at peace, because it totally describes how so many of us DCers feel at Disney. If only other people could understand that feeling, so they didn't shrug their shoulders and give us weird looks. To so many of them it is "just another vacation." For the rest of us, it's "coming home."

Oh and just wanted to mention, you probably didn't catch that Mickey's article about Hallmark sponsoring Spaceship Earth was a joke. :D (If you didn't, don't worry...I completely bought it until I read the responses and realized it was a joke!!!) :o

No problem! :) I wonder if that CM you spoke to is going to start asking others, and this "Hallmark" rumor will spread... :laugh

Have a wonderful time at MGM! Can't wait to hear all about it!
