Re: Tom's Travels - Episode 5

Excellent and worth every second I waited to hear it. Thanks Tom for your latest episode of your trip. Pick-up Pete and his family of obnoxious drivers can be found anywhere, anytime on any road in NJ...we breed them here I think....there are MANY in Philly too where the driving rules change at random and vary from street to street..lol Thanks Tom. The time and effort you put into these reports are obvious and very much appreciated by all of us reading. You are by far, the best trip reporter yet. Thanks for ending my day with a smile!

That's why we stay at a WDW resort. The *Disney Spell* is not broken until you get to MCO at the end of your trip.

ditto ..except in our case the spell is not broken untill we drive off property headed back to texas

Tom .. I have tears running down my face from laughing. I read this episode out loud to my husband, who said the same the rlander posted. Living in Texas where every ones second (and most primary) vehicles is a pickup truck I know PUP very well.
I know you have a life outside of DisneyCentral but Tom, we all have enjoyed your trip reports so much .. if there were an award on DC for best Trip Report no doubt you would win with out any competition. Thank you so very much for bringing so much enjoyment to me and the others of DC with your humour (see I spelled that the English way) and your look out our beloved WDW!!

Re: Tom's Travels - Episode 5

I hope this trip is almost over, never read a trip report that is so boaring (sorry) all we want to know about is WDW things, not drivers on the highway.Sorry you probably think Im just another rude American,ok I am so get on with your trip report.Next time you may want to stay on property that will save you the drive time and me reading a shorter trip report.

Well, Tom, I am thoroughly enjoying your report BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE of WDW. Can't wait for the next installment (and it's nice to have someone who spells the same way as I).

That's an interesting point.

Why do Brits misspell so many words?

Re: Tom's Travels - Episode 5

Thank you for this TR. Your writing about WDW "Both INSIDE and OUTSIDE" is very interesting

BUT..... I do have to agree with Polyman65 on one issue.....

Please do not generalize all Americans with comments like "Stupid Americans" this is disrespectful and un-called for. I would NEVER generalize any country, countryman and/or culture in a negative way, especially if I was visiting that particular country/culture. I look forward to visiting England one day and I am sure you and your fellow countrymen would not appreciate if I called all of you Stupid.

As I said, I enjoy your writing so I look forward to your next Episode.

Lisa

Re: Tom's Travels - Episode 5

In Tom's defense, I do not think he stated "Stupid Americans" in any of his posts.

From what I gather, Tom has a very opinionated sense of humor, and while some find it offensive, others find it humorous. I for one find it humorous. Tom's views of the American lifestyle is differenet from ours because we live it everyday. We don't recognize the subtle cultural practices because we are desensitized. I am sure if we visited a different culture we would walk away with some very strange stories. I think Tom is telling these stories in a great way.

As Forest would say, that's all I have to say about that.

Hey! Just a thought. Let's refer this thread to Mickey and let him decide if there is an offensive post on it. Bet you he finds one!!!

Yours again
